(Translated by Google) We were in Argentine Patagonia with @expedicaoquijote and camped on the shores of Lake Roca, a tremendous place, with a lot of untouched nature. In the mornings, hundreds of hares ran along the road and inside the park. A very safe place, about 40 km from El Calafate on a gravel road. A very scenic setting, definitely a place I'd be happy to call my work place! Friendly helpful staff and lots to explore- starting with the impressive collection of bank notes from all over the world plasterring the walls of the wooden shack! Worth a stop to post a postcard too but don't expect it to arrive to destination in normal time. 2 weeks already and still waiting :) A good place also to get more 'end of the world' stamps in your passport if you want, so come prepared
Maybe its CLOSED for winter or maybe he just operates as he wishes. We came here twice on different day and return at different time while in the park after hiking and it never opens its door. Anyway, this post office can be reached by driving and we saw many tourist came into the park with taxis just for having their passport stamped or send a mail/ postcard from here so they get the special stamp but many left with disappointments. You may have your passport or letters/postcard stamped at the Tourist Centre for free in town but I do think this “private/tourist” post office have a cuter stamp. And no doubt it has a rich history. You just have to be the lucky one
I tried to visit the post office on 2025.6.12 around 3pm. Staff at national park entrance told me it's closed for winter season. Luckily I was on my hired car, so I managed to drive and visit all other scenic points in the park, which is phenomenal. If you come merely by taxi for the post office, make sure it's open. Google opening hours aren't accurate and require update.
Probably was great at the time, and it still is pretty. But the prices make you feel like it's a money machine. We payed 40$ for 4 postcards.... and the man refused us a stamp on our passports because we had to pay extra cash for them.
If you plan to visit Tierra Del Fuego National Park, this would be a great stopping point! It's the End of World Post Office, located furtherest south of the world! Post Office is small and very antique looking. The location of this post office is amazing too. It is right at the water and it adds another positive point as you can get passport stamps from here. (I didn't get a chance to get the stamps as I visited this place during weekend.) There isn't much to see other than the post office and the sea. So I'd say it's a good place to "stop by" so that you can cross your "Things to do in Ushuaia" list. Tips: You can still get the passport stamps from the tourist Ushuaia Information Center in Ushuaia. So if you are just looking for the passport stamps, just know that you have another option.
Lovely spot but hundreds of people go there everyday in the hopes of sending their postcards from the end of the world and getting stamped accordingly. A) the guy is never there, we tried several times over two days, and; B) It’s unclear if it’s a real post office. There’s a mailbox there but it’s unclear if the real post office picks up there. Numerous people commented that their mail never arrived from here. C) The above makes it a tourist trap Anyway, the little rock beach is lovely with a view towards the small Isla Redonda and Chile. If the guy actually shows up, you can get your passport stamped and try your luck. You’d think that with all the tourists going there and all the legends about this place, that the real post office OR the national park would issue some official information or warning but apparently that’s too much to ask. Lame.
Nice little post office inside of the national park. They didn’t have a lot of post card options when we went. The line wasn’t too long. It was fun sending a post card from “the end of the world”.
This is a old Post Office. You can get your passport stamped here as a souvenir. You also get a beautiful view of Beagle channel and snow clad mountains.
