The place is amazing and beautiful. It's really easy to find and the entrance is $1.50 per person. We didn't hire a guide and didn't get lost on our way. We made it to the main waterfall even crossing the river by ourselves. We went there during January and the water flow was pretty strong so we couldn't get that much into the river.
One of the many beautiful waterfalls in and around Napo.
A very bad experience. It takes 45-60 minutes to reach the waterfall. The path is very bad and slippery. At the starting point you have to pay 2USD. However, halfway you have to pay another dollar to a man. There are other waterfalls in Ecuador that are way more impressive, like the waterfalls near Banos and Laguna Azul, where you can swim in the water.
Beautiful, next time I will camp there
(Translated by Google) A beautiful little corner of the province of Napo, on the way to Puerto Misahuallí. The cost is 1.50 USD. It is recommended to use good footwear to avoid slipping on the road. Walk of approximately 1 hour up and down to the waterfall, perfect for bathers. Recommended. Recomendado.
(Translated by Google) A very beautiful place, the walk is long and muddy, it is best to go with comfortable clothing and good shoes for the mud, in addition to your swimsuit of course and bring hydration, otherwise be ready to enjoy nature and its refreshing waters.
(Translated by Google) We never found the “camping” area but the waterfall is incredible!! A path full of green bordering the unmissable river!! It is essential to wear trekking shoes. Supposedly there are two entrances, the first costs 2.5 for foreigners and 1.5 for nationals and then to enter the waterfall itself another dollar more (the only price if the “owner” is at the door). It is important that if the river is swollen not to cross it because it is very difficult to return. You can also bathe in the waterfall!
(Translated by Google) Very good adventure, recommendation, go with boots because the path is a little complicated, and something normal since you are looking for nature and it is something natural to the place, but my family and I enjoyed it very much.
