The last part of the path did not have any light (used my cellphone), but the night view up there is really pretty.
Is this a joke? There is nothing here where this “mirador” marked. It’s a random spot on the side is the road. Yes, Iruya town is beautiful, and there are several other great mirador spots, but don’t waste your time coming to the spot where this is marked. There is nothing here. Go to Mirador del Condor instead.

This hike a relatively short in distance yet quite steep and the surface has loose gravel and rocks. It is the kind of hike I love but it is not for those with mobility limitations, poor physical fitness, or most children. The view from the top is a beautiful reward, as is the air, the silence… and the magic, as cliché as that may sound.
Irusha should be called “the rainbow valley” 🌈 if you climb to the mirador you will understand why. Between the column/ stalagmite rock formations and the colours of the cliffs, I was in awe with the beauty this valley holds. The more you look at the colours, the more intense they seem to become. I took us about 1 hour from el inicio del Sendero with many small breaks to let the heartbeats go down; we arrived at the top at about 5pm, prime time to watch the condor show (in the morning they were on the other side of the valley, going toward San Isidro). Take your time, enough water, a little jacket and go spend the late afternoon up there - it’s so worth it. The track continues for as long as you want to walk after the mirador and at some point you can even spot san Isidro from afar ! @marjo_coq 🤍
Great views. Don't trust the Google directions as it leads you the wrong way. Time to climb approximately 3 hours return but afterwards I am extremely unfit. Lots of goats and dogs to pet.
It's an intermediate level hike. Locals suggest being at the top by 3pm or later, when chances of seeing cóndor birds are higher. Might be chilly, even in summer.
Worth the hike to get up. Just go slow, bring water, and take it easy. The view from the top is spectacular.
(Translated by Google) Beautiful place. We didn't make it all the way to the top because we were running late to catch the bus, but the entire trip still offers unique views. I estimate the climb to take an hour and a half for inexperienced or slightly experienced hikers who are still willing to take it. Take breaks because the climb is steep, and the descent takes half that time or less. Nothing beats going and seeing it in person.
(Translated by Google) The climb is a bit tiring because it's very steep. But it's worth the joy! You have to go carefully and slowly; there's no rush. I recommend staying at the lookout point for a while. The view is beautiful, and the condors really do fly by. Magical.

(Translated by Google) The Iruya River is the continuation of the Colanzuli River. Once the latter has passed through the town of Iruya, it already takes this name. Further down, it receives the San Isidro River as a tributary, then the San Juan, the San Pedro and others, until it flows into the Bermejo River. Walking from Iruya to La Palca, you can have a very nice view of the Iruya River as it joins the San Isidro River. A short excursion, which, walking calmly, can be done in two hours. It's worth it!!!
