A beautifully maintained, peaceful, serene monument to the American Forces who fought here during WW1. Visible from the town below and lit up by night, it’s not hard to spot the memorial from afar.
Beautiful memorial, staff was very welcoming and kind.
The most underrated place in France. It was stunning. Well worth renting a stick shift van to drive there. Unthinking, I sat on the grass for a selfie and I was approached by a guard to get off the grass and show respect. I was so impressed, he was right!
If you go too quickly, you could easily miss the free museum under the monument. Great content in English and French.
Great monument showcasing the history of all the troops and battles fought in the late stages of the Great War. Shows the bond of the American and French people with pride and respect. The view is impressive and there is plenty of parking.
Please make a visit to this site. It tells the World War 1 story of the military operations in the region. A spectacular view of Château-Thierry and the Marne Valley. The staff is ABMC are there to support your visit. Château-Thierry is a great place for a lunch stop.
Magnificent USA war memorial, immaculately kept and impressive tribute to those who gave their today for our tomorrow.
Beautiful with a view of the valley.

This monument is beautiful and very well kept. We visited on an early Friday afternoon and the staff were very kind. I would recommend visiting this site in the morning as the sun shines on the monument in beautiful ways. Overall I had a very pleasant experience.
Recomended 100%. Visite the cemetery before tough. You will get pamphlets and information that will give you more context on what you are looking at.
Amazing. Very serene and beautiful here on a crisp fall day. So much history and significance for US Marines such as myself. Great place to have a quiet afternoon and enjoy nature and history and appreciate it. Marines, If you go to the Mairie (mayors office and museum) in the village of Belleau, ask for the key to the Devil Dog Fountain. It's just across the road from the office! Fill up your bottles and drink from history!!!
What a wonderful tribute to the United States Marine Corps.
Great place to experience the history of this pivotal battle. An absolute must visit for any Marine. The cemetery was moving, and the historical trail was well.done and well maintained. Drink from the Devil Dog fountain at the museum. Semper Fi.
Nice marine museum for family outing in Lisbon. My boys enjoyed the history lesson from explorers to modern submarines.
Less we forget! Absolutely beautiful place to remember our fellow Marines! I would recommend for U.S. visitors to add destination address and add a second stop to return back to wherever you came from before leaving. I have T-Mobile and I had no service for a long time and getting home was a challenge.
Nice spot for a stroll. We went in December and it was really wet and muddy. This would be a great place if it weren't wet. Download the map so you can read about the marked spots along the way. We didn't see restrooms or a gift shop.

Cute museum showing the live and oeuvre de La Fontaine. Definitely a place to go when in the city!
Nice place. A lot of La Fontaine.
(Translated by Google) I visited the museum for free as a couple on the Jean de la Fontaine holiday weekend. It is a very beautiful house with small rooms and very good quality parquet flooring, it is a very well maintained museum. A superb wooden library, a pretty flower garden, paintings, fabric armchairs representing fables as well as crockery. And memories about all the fables learned in school and about other unknowns. A shop with history books and fables, mugs, collectible sewing thimbles, puzzles... The courtyard is paved for the house of Jean de la Fontaine.

(Translated by Google) Of course the essential place for any French person who remembers a dozen of the most famous fables, but it is also to discover those that we know less. And above all to remember the naive spirit that we had at school when we learned our recitations and to perceive their meaning, with adult understanding, allowing us to discover the naughty, hidden talent of La Fontaine . A real gem. (Original) Bien entendu le lieu incontournable pour tout français qui se rappelle d'une dizaine des plus célèbres fables mais c'est aussi de découvrir celles que l'on connaît moins. Un vrai petit bijou.

We really had a great morning here. With a large group, we were able to go on a cellar tour, play a game, and taste delicious wines. The wine cellars looked so beautiful, and the tour was super interesting. Our guides could explain everything well, in English and Dutch. So that was great. It was honestly so well organized, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The communication in advance was also very pleasant, and they were very thoughtful! It was truly a great visit; thanks again for your hospitality and your beautiful winery! 😊 I would highly recommend this place!
Cool experience! We walked in a little late for the tour in English but they graciously were able to accommodate our group of 7. Our guide, Emmanuelle, was funny and knowledgeable. The champagne was delicious!
We had a wonderful tour and tasting! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and delightful. She was happy to answer our group’s questions and the tour was very interesting even for someone who had been to tours previously. Top-notch
We went on a fantastic tour of the caves and champagne making process. Loved Our guide Galina . She not only covered the history but also of the town of Chateau Thierry
We absolutely loved this place, the tour and the champagne! Our tour guide was so sweet and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend for a day trip if staying in Paris - was a 45 min train ride out. Great hospitality and loved getting to know the history of Champagne.
Pannier was recommended to us for a tour of the cellars by the owners of the b&b we were staying at, and we cannot fault their choice. One of us had never done a tour like this before and the bar is now set high. Our guide was knowledgeable, with a dry wit. She encouraged questions from the group, and seemed thorough in pointing out little known (to us, at least) facets of the whole champagne-making process, as well as ushering us around the caves in friendly fashion. The tasting afterwards was generous, with hints and tips on opening and pouring the wine. Excellent afternoon out.
Arrived just before 5pm, one hour before the advertised closing time. My husband, who is a fluent French speaker, went in to enquire if they were open and was told yes. When we went in as a group of four however, we were told in an extremely brusque manner that we could not go on a tour or sample any champagne. In fact, the man behind the counter was extremely rude and monosyllabic, even though the whole conversation on our side was in fluent French, and he was not helpful in the slightest. Meanwhile, there were about a dozen people quaffing champagne and having a lovely time in the cave’s drinking area next to us. We’ll always remember that. Well done Pannier. Perhaps you could work on your customer service? We have rarely felt less welcome.
An amazing history and tour of the caves learning about how champagne is made, followed by champagne tasting and canapés.

We had the opportunity to enjoy of walking through this beautiful and magical place, it's like to get back in time. That town is itself magical. Pd. You can get there from Paris in public transport, by metro.
Beautiful view and park inside. There are fun activities for kids here and you get the history for free at the museum. Really nice place.

A great show: both instructive and fun. I advise it as for bird lovers as for amateurs. I really enjoyed it.
Great place to spend an afternoon. We only visited the net and the cafe, but entertained 3 boys of different ages for a couple of hours. The garden near the entrance is also worth a visit, if only to try their home made infusions, are from the garden produce that day.
We saw the birds-of-prey show in 2011. It was the best bird show we have seen in France (1), Austria (1), and Germany (7). The three handlers were in medieval costume, and we three were the only ones in the audience. Many kinds of birds were flown. We put on the glove and held one of the birds, and another stood on my head! The ticket-seller warned us the show was in French (of course!), but we were able to speak in English with one of the handlers after the show. Superb!

Yesterday pilgrimage to the memorial by climbing through the vines to celebrate my July 14th, going back down through the woods, and arriving in the suburbs, stroll in the city center seeing an official celebration being prepared, a few convolutions later I get closer to a terrace where crepes laugh for lunch. Interpellation of the radiant occupant of a 6-wheel chair proudly displaying the city flag on the back of her vehicle, "Where did you get it, I've been looking for it for 2 years". It's brand new from the morning ceremony, she assures me that she will try to find one for me. And I follow my path aimlessly, castle and a drink on its exceptional terrace, back down and back along the Marne to Essomes.. Happy, full of this city that is Château-Moi. I had done 21 km during the day without feeling them... Incredibly combined circumstances I will spend the afternoon of the next day with the charming lady on wheels... I love this city, it tames me. July 15, 2020 Discovery, above all pilgrimage in this city to which I owe my first name Thierry. My great-uncle died on July 9, 1918 at hill 204, it is in his memory that I bear the name of this very pleasant town. Unmissable Monsieur Jean de La Fontaine who is present everywhere in the gardens, a multitude of small displays, but also illustration panels by Chagall or Doré. It is also a very quiet town on the banks of the Marne, the castle, the Hôtel-Dieu of course. A city where I felt good and whose name I am proud to bear. A city where I will return very quickly. (Translated by Google) A very nice and pleasant city... which is becoming less and less so. Drug addicts hanging around, homeless people at bus stops yelling and squatting, ah, that's a good image here. What's unfortunate is that we see vehicles driving too fast on the one hand, but also more and more vehicles with suspicious individuals hanging around and acting like jerks. It might be a good idea, from time to time, to organize enforcement campaigns at roundabouts and speed cameras too (especially on Avenue Jules Lefebvre and Rue de la Prairie), where some people think they're on a racetrack. And for us cyclists, we should also think about renovating cycle lanes... In several places, they've almost disappeared. Same here, Rue des Garats, the town halls of Brasles and Château are passing the buck; they've supposedly been redone for years. All this has already been mentioned but unfortunately the road is still classified as dangerous given the holes and cracked surfaces. Really lovely little herb garden. Lovingly cared for by an absolutely charming gardener. There is a bee hive with a chimney! A brilliant idea that protects the bees and also people in the garden. The gardener can open little doors in the hive where you can see the bees at work behind glass. Fascinating. You can also buy delicious honey. The garden is perched at the end of the castle grounds in a lovely quiet corner of the city. The gardener is also fascinating to talk with about the herbs. Enjoy.🙂

Lovely track, one of the best around, good tarmac, high grip, not too rough on tyres. A Challenging technical course. Decent clean toilets and a coffee machine
Pros: - good surface - lot of corners (left and right) - toilet & shower - low speed track ---> safe for crashes Cons: - location (very far from highway) - small paddock area, you need to be earlier otherwise no spot and then you'll have to park on rocks parking 😅 - 10 km away from the nearest gas station - small track results in the use of only second and third gear all the time (except on the straight in fourth gear)
Awesome track for learning car control without much risk. Top location
Great track for practicing your bike (and car probably too) driving skills. Not a track to race like an idiot, but great to improve your technical riding!
Nice little track. Relatively safe for motorbikes and easy access for press and media to get close to the track. If you are a photographer, wear strong shoes and watch carefully with each step you take. Very rough grassy terrain. Break is from 13:00-15:00 so you can do a track walk here easily.
We had the entire circuit for us and it was a blast !!
Nice track. No huge speed but technical curves
