It's not a place you want to star rate, but it has been well preserved and open to the public to recount, in a small way, the abhorrent conditions the Czech Jews had to endure. Important for as many people to visit and appreciate that this must never happen again.
Really sad to get to know the past and how was life or surviving in a place like this, the entrance was about 10€ per person, there are toilets for free inside, don't miss the cinema, it shows a movie of about 20 minutes where you can get most of the information and history for free as well and it was translated in English.
If you’re planning a visit to the Terezín Memorial, I highly recommend making an online reservation in advance. While there are a few basic informational signs scattered around the site, most of the historical context and stories require a guided explanation to truly understand the significance of what you're seeing. The admission ticket includes a guided tour, but you must book it online beforehand through their official website. Several language options are available, making it accessible for international visitors. There is a small kiosk within the site that offers vending machines, and the town has a few grocery stores. However, it’s a good idea to bring your own light meal and drinking water for the visit, as options on-site are limited. Also, make sure to set aside time to visit the other museums in town. The ticket to the concentration camp also grants you access to several important museums in the town of Terezín, and they are absolutely worth seeing. These museums provide essential context and help paint a fuller picture of the site's history.
My nephew as me about Auschwitz when we were in Germany so we drove there the following week. As I read on the Internet that we need to reserve as we won’t get in, that was false, the free entrance are limited and need to be reserved but the tour in your language happens every couple hours or so and with many language, of it is 70€ but to really get the feeling and understanding of the place, I think you need the guided tour. Our guide was not that enthusiastic but I guess this is in their mantra. Her English was good for conversation but maybe a bit lacking for this kind of guiding but this did not bother the group I was in. For some reason I was expecting more from what everyone I know who have been there where telling me about the feeling and all but maybe I just been to too many of similar place when I was in the military… definitely recommend to go there with your younger members of the family so that we never forget and don’t let the Israelis repeat the same thing now with the Palestinians
A must visit, worth the day trip from Prague. We booked the tour online in advance but they didn’t even check the reservation. The guided tour was nice, if you don’t do it I’m not sure how you’d get information on the buildings as there is very little signage. They do run 4 or 5 tours at the same time, just in different languages. This means it’s quite crowded. It would be better if they staggered the times. They offer tours in many languages, and your entrance ticket here works in numerous other sights throughout the town as well.
A very well preserved exhibit. Definitely recommend getting a tour
Events that happened here shouldn't be forgotten. I appreciate how places like these remind us to never let these things happen again. Although, Theresienstadt wasn't really an extermination camp it reminds us of how much suffering humans can inflict on one another.

Terezin memorial was an emotional but very educational experience for me about Nazi crimes against humanity.
Somber visit. Much of the facilities in the prison portion of the facility are intact. Truly appalling conditions. There was a children's art exhibit there when we went which was amazing to see this time through children's eyes. Sad knowing most of them didn't make it. There were other art exhibits showing work of people held there and showed a glimpse into daily life there. Very close to Prague. Worth the visit. This was a waypoint to the big death camps. The guides at the facility were excellent.
Gut wrenching. Tour guide is too fast in camp. I recommend you find your own transport and then get the tour and take your time afterwards exploring. Good distance between camp and ghetto. The ghetto is now a lived in town with only traces if it's history so you will need help finding the hidden synagogue, and the model living quarters.
The whole town is involved in tourism related to the ghetto. There is no real guidance, you are given a map and you have to manage on your own. The arrival was also really complicated, 2 trains and a lot of walking. It is recommended to come with an guide and/or a vehicle
Had a good time walking around Lots to see
Very moving experience. Terezin has been maintained over the years, so you really get a sense of what it looked like, even though that gives you little sense of the real horror of the conditions here. We were in a group, so we had a tour guide. I highly recommend touring with a guide if possible. Everything is relatively flat but there are uneven entrances and exits and cobblestones and gravel.
Fascinating museum, one part of the entire Ghetto Museum site. Buy tickets here to the entire site and there's a professionally presented museum to introduce visitors to the history of the site. Everything is available in English and there are maps available of the entire site.
Just down the road from the garrison, or as it now known terezin concentration camp. Some beautiful artwork from the prisoners is on display. Its the whole structure of a fake town set up by the SS to fool the red Cross. Just to make them believe they were being humane. Here's where you wany to take your time walking around. It's now a small town but hardly anyone lives here, due to its history and the threat of flooding.

Fun & Games
Slide 1 of 8
+ simple linear story + friendly staff + largest cz escape room
In comparison to many other escape room games I've visited, this one is lacking in many aspects and unfortunately not offering anything "special" other than being the "biggest/longest". It consist of approximately 10-12 rooms in linear order, where in every room you solve only single thing. All of them (or almost all of them, but I believe that all of them) are taken 1:1 from TV shows or other escape rooms, I haven't seen any innovation or interesting ideas. It doesn't have any story (just series of puzzles), any atmosphere, everything is built out of wooden euro pallets with zero furnishing and other interesting locations or objects and it just feels "cheap". Also the game was poorly prepared (one unlocked lock and one puzzle not working). I would give it two stars, but just out of respect to the two friendly game masters I give it three.
(Translated by Google) I'm giving two stars because there were some interesting ideas/concepts in the game that caught my attention or amused me. The reason for such a low rating is the gamemaster's approach, which really disgusted me with the game. I could still understand his annoyed and bored expression and the fact that he was looking at his cell phone most of the time he accompanied us, because spending time like that repeatedly is certainly stereotypical. But he repeatedly made us idiots with his comments ("hints"), which escalated as we were probably not keeping up in his eyes. The lady who replaced him for about a third of the game and then accompanied us for half of the game did much better in his place, she was mysterious and played with us. We finished the game in 166 minutes, the time on the website is 120. But there were also times around 200 on the results wall. The fact that you brag that it is the biggest game in the Czech Republic is nice (and it was funny that it was mentioned to us as the first rule of the game instead of, for example, as part of the welcome), but it is not optimized at all. If you write that the game lasts 120 minutes, you should expect that the customer will take that as well and if they are not able to keep up, point them out and not make a fool of them when they want to look around the room and you drive them away instead. You yourself write that not everyone will finish the game on time, but that it is about the fun that awaits us.. The crowning moment was the conclusion, when we were supposed to complete our detective work, but instead of calmly solving it ourselves, the gentleman started pointing to the game sheet and basically filling it in for me. Appalling! I myself work in another escape game, so I could understand that maybe not everything works, etc. (which didn't happen, there was no technical hitch) but the behavior and attitude of the gamemaster was disgusting.
(Translated by Google) Super guy (roommaster), well thought-out activities, the game went smoothly, so we did one action only after a hint, otherwise it was possible. (Original) Super týpek (roommaster), bezva vymyšlené aktivity, hra šla na pohodu, jednu akci jsme tedy dali až po nápovědě, jinak to šlo.
(Translated by Google) Super elaborate escape room! No task was the same, the complexity varied. From screwing brain threads to fine motor skills, or peasant thinking! I recommend and preferably 3-4 people! (Original) Super propracovaná únikovka! Žádný úkol nebyl stejný, složitost různá. Od šroubování závitů mozkových po jemnou motoriku, či selské myšlení! Doporučuji a nejlépe 3-4 lidé!

(Translated by Google) The best escape room, we've been there for the second time, the first time in 2021, it was a different game, this time it was more like Boyard Fortress and we had a lot of fun, we played in four groups, we appreciated the variety of tasks and the guide's approach :) thank you very much for a great experience! (Original) Nejlepší unikovka, už jsme byli podruhé, poprvé v roce 2021, to byla jiná hra, teď to bylo spíš do Pevnosti Boyard a moc nás to bavilo, hráli jsme ve čtyřech, ocenili jsme rozmanitost úkolů a přístup průvodkyně :) moc děkujeme za prima zážitek!
(Translated by Google) Four stars because there is always room for improvement, but it was a nice afternoon. I don't want to repeat here what has already been written here regarding the elaboration and description of the game itself, a little bit from a different perspective: originally we were supposed to go in a completely different lineup, but in the end even a wheelchair user completed the game with us. The game is not wheelchair accessible in the description, but we were able to take wheelchair users on the phone. Assistance is needed, definitely don't go here without it. There were more of us than him, so we managed everything together. The path to the yard has huge stones. Bigger than Prague's cat heads, better than the path through the treetops of Pustevny. Length approx. 6m. There is also a toilet in this section, which is not wheelchair accessible. There is one step and again assistance is needed. There is not much room for manipulation, but it is possible. It's probably better to jump in front of a gas station somewhere. Next, we had to carry the cart up the stairs to the floor. It's the concrete steps in the yard that are in most of the photos. Our wheelchair user climbs the stairs with help, but two strong men from our group carried him out with the wheelchair. Then there are no stairs. We only had to fold the cart about three times to get it through the narrow door opening. The game itself is not just about fitness, and it really is like Boyard's Fortress, where each member is good at something else and everyone works together, each according to their abilities and skills. Our wheelchair user was thrilled with the game.

My first ever visit to a camp and it was such a sad realization of what the Jewish community went through. Very reflective day on how fortunate some of us are to live normally and how unfortunate some of us were with unimaginable torture they went through. It is a day trip from Prague which we booked via get your guide. From 1-6:30. Guide was good, transport was good. The only problem is no breaks for any food as all the sites close by 5 PM.
I really recommend setting aside a full day for your visit. In the morning, you can do the guided tour of the concentration camp, and then in the afternoon, when it gets hotter, it's a good time to check out the indoor museums in town — your ticket covers those too. Some of the most powerful parts of the visit are in these museums, especially the drawings and writings made by the children who were held in Terezín. It’s emotional and deeply moving, and it really drives home the importance of remembering what happened — and making sure it never happens again.
If you don’t want to subject yourself to complete sadness for the lives lost this is not for you. I went on a weekend after avoiding it all my life. It is an overwhelming experience but I booked a guided tour and met interesting people along the way. These are the only pics I took and did not feel right taking more. Definitely something that needs to be seen although it breaks my heart
very sad, very expensive, and not well presented. But the subject is important. The photos are from columbarium and it is free of charge
There was a school group visiting at same time . Visited with our Viking River tour group so arrangements made prior to visit . Our Viking guide took us inside and explained some of the displays and then we were on our own to explore . The display of luggage , belongings taken from those , children , adults and the letters, poems , drawings found and displayed , one can spend hours reading . There is also a movie to watch that was part used for propaganda during WWII. Amazing the area is now occupied by residents who want to live in the memory.
This was a very interesting place. Lots of history from various periods but most of the information focuses on the second world war where it was used as a transfer camp by the Nazi's. A little overwhelming considering what terrible things happened there. It is a very large place so wear good shoes. Lots of outdoor walking so if it is hot wear sunscreen and a hat. We did this with an English guide which made the experience a lot better. It would be hard if you were on your own as many of the signs are only in Czech and German.
A full day, (in 5 hours) although very sobering. The camp is extremely well preserved and authentic. The guide was well spoken, easily understandable and clearly had a vast knowledge of the subject. Admittedly, I’m pretty lazy…This tour does have a significant amount of walking. Although it says “wheelchair accessible” I wouldn’t do it. Sophie/Sophia was an excellent tour manager. Very well-informed and anxious to help with information regarding the city and country along the way. Well worth the money.
Nicely repaired buildings ,it's a must go to for any History lovers. Defo watch the movie last Butterfly for some inside.

A grim prison used by the Nazis during World War II The fortress here dates from the Austro-Hungarian period. It was later used as a prison, where the notorious Gavrilo Princip was held. Later the Nazis used it as a prison for Jews and political prisoners who had resisted them. It’s worth getting the guided tour, as much of the prison isn’t really obvious without a tour guide. A sobering place, but worth seeing if we want to remember what came before us.
(Translated by Google) A very historic place where time has stood still. Since I was the only German at the time, the elderly gentleman guided me through the fortress alone. His stories really gave you goosebumps. Many thanks to the great tour, although I was alone, the tour would have been canceled elsewhere. If I'm ever in Prague again, I'll definitely take a look at the facilities again. The facility is very well preserved and many things are still in their original condition. It's important to deal with that part of the story so it doesn't repeat itself. The long walk through the 500m long tunnel was also exciting. If you get cold very quickly, you should take something long-sleeved to pull over, as it is quite cool in the tunnel. Likewise, one should not be afraid of narrow and dark spaces.

A must visit so that the horrors of the Holocaust are not forgotten

This is a relatively small museum, but if you love cars, a communist era, you will be in heaven. There are all kinds of Eastern European communist Eric cars the admission is low and parking is free. This is a must see for anybody who loves these cars.
Recommended to see, if you're checking out the fortress/Concentration Camp, you might as well check this out too. Cheap to enter, some nice old cars/bikes from the old Czech/Russia era, interesting, and its all in one hall. It would be nicer if you could actually walk around and look into the cars/bikes.
There are some cars here, but its a bit loveless and sad. Cars are ok, but All is dusty, nearly no Light. No need to come for this, but if you are here and interested in cars...its ok.
It’s a “must see” in this incredible city ! We spend a good time in this place ! It’s was wonderful. Sincerely, this afternoon is in my top 3 Lifetime !!!! They’ve got the biggest bar in Czech Republic, the beer is so cheap and so gooooood Thank you to every waiters et owners of this wonderful place, it’s was a very great times ❤️
80 CZK - and get to see million $ cars. Bring your kids - will be fun!
Great little antique car museum
What an amazing day with my friends! The barman was super friendly, talking about the story of city which is very interesting. I recommand this spot for anyone who come to Terezin!
Nothing special. One barn filled with old cars, predominantly czech. Nice touch is that for most of them you have detailed description and the is also a pricelist comparison of all cars sold in 1977.
