16th-century castle with a grand frescoed hall, gardens with a lake & views of the Euganean hills.
Slide 1 of 8
A wonderful, ancient castle, built between the sixteenth and nineteenth century, with important additions along its history, and huge wings for hundreds of royal guests. There is also a large garden, and a beautiful view over the surrounding hills, the famous Colli Euganei. The castle can be visited and it operates also as a restaurant with caterings for large meetings. Worth a visit, I recommend a visit with a guide, who can bring more added value to it.
My sister's wedding was nothing short of magical! I can't express enough how amazing this place was. Every detail was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we created unforgettable memories. It truly was a day filled with joy and celebration! It felt like a fairy tale
Nothing else to say other than beautiful. The frescos are so well preserved, rich and colorful. The whole architecture is interesting because it was thought to be a castle to host events to entertain the nobility of the time. The audio guides are really informative and add some really interesting details. The parc is enchanting as well. The ticket price is around 10 euros and a small discount can be provided for certain categories. The history behind this castle is fascinating and intertwined with other noble Houses and palaces of Europe. (the noble floor, the most beautiful one, cannot be photographed).
Stunning frescoed interiors and a lovely garden — truly worth every minute and every penny. Also for non Italian you will get very informative booklet in English.
Best wine visit ever! Intimate, great wine & great cheese, etc. Small family owned since 1913. Amazing wine bought!
Filippo provided an excellent tour for our river cruise group. He really brought out the personalities and historical significance of the frescos and garden, with a good dose of humor.
Nice to visit if you are in the area. Good renovation, well preserved pictures on walls, very interesting garden. Need about 1.5 hours. Has toilet and also refreshments dispensers.
Well organized audio tour, informative without information overload.

The staff is so kind and polite. Highly recommended this place for kids. There are a lot of things to learn, and they explain everything very well. If someone need there's the possibility of having an interesting boat ride.
This is not a real museum it's just a bunch of old maritime paraphernalia and some replica boats. No instructions, no guide. 10 Euros per person is daylight robbery to be honest. I'm sorry but there should be someone tidying it up and adding some notes and explanation.
Very interesting navigation museum, you will find there many historical things related to river jobs
Very interesting 👌 and good experience
Unique museum of the Venetian boatmen. One of them telling you amazing stories of older times. It,s a pity that administration's do not support it!
The owner is a lovely 85 y old man ex captain of a merchant ship who collected all you can see through 40 years of researches, you can see his tough and splendid soul through his voice. I'll share this place to everyone and I hope all the best for this little rare gemstone of history.. (too bad this museum is not promoted how it should be.. so remember to share ;) !!
This is a great place to bring your kids. We've seen and learned a lot of cool things about the history of river navigation in Italy. All original accessories, boat parts, furniture and many other things that make your eyes run all around you. Maurizio is a very nice guy that really loves what he does. He is a great museum guide... Definitely a place to visit.
Unfortunately when we visited on a Sunday we discovered it was only open on Saturdays. Pity. So 3 star reflects our disappointment not the quality of the museum. And in fairness there was a notice saying that it was open on request.

Great pizza and cold beer!
The food was okay. We each got a pizza and shared a salad. The pizza was a bit tasteless. It is definitely more of a bar than an eatery.
GREAT PIZZA TAKE AWAY. DELICIOUS, HUGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Very good pizza Definitely recommend
Very pleasant place with good food
Really great pizza. Service could have been better, maybe the server was a trainee personnel but that does not leave a great experience. Pasta was good but very salty.
Really nice, friendly waitress and very good drinks and food, we ll visit again
Delicious burger, quick service, crispy and dry fried potatoes. Drunk a valpolicella superiore 2015 that was also amazing.

(Translated by Google) I accompanied my wife for a mud treatment on her hands. Excellent place, impeccable service, and attentive and very kind staff. The only downside is the distance, as it's the closest place with health insurance. Traveling almost 100 km there and back for 12 days is a bit embarrassing, but that's not the fault of these fantastic spas.
(Translated by Google) I went to the swimming pool at the county with my 8-year-old niece. I found the cost of €20 per adult and €12 per child a bit excessive. I don't understand this difference. As for a slide that is supposed to be for [children], there are also adults who use it. You should explain to me why €20 per adult perhaps consumes more water!? As for there are no other attractions that justify it.
(Translated by Google) Good morning, I returned yesterday, Sunday, October 5, 2025, with my wife. Like last time, I'm disappointed by the water temperature in the hydromassage pool. It's barely warm. I also mentioned it to the lifeguard, who replied, "I'll report it." It's a real shame. I travel almost 150 km to stay in water that's barely warm. I really don't understand.... In other establishments, the water is much warmer and more welcoming. It's a real shame.
(Translated by Google) Terrible experience. The atmosphere was anything but relaxing: I personally witnessed the owner verbally assaulting employees in front of customers and other co-workers. These were embarrassing and unpleasant scenes, completely out of place in a center that is supposed to promote well-being and serenity. Such a toxic atmosphere can only negatively impact the entire experience. Not recommended. (Original) Esperienza pessima. Sconsigliato.

(Translated by Google) We've been coming here for several years, even several times a week, but the last time we were there, we became demoralized and demotivated. Excessive checks over trivialities, when in fact we need more checks on pool cleanliness and maybe some refreshments for the staff, who most likely don't know how to do their job.
(Translated by Google) Prices are too high...a disgrace. €20 entry after 2:30 pm plus a supplement for a deckchair. A few years ago, it was €12, which was already a lot, but it was reasonable considering the spa. From €12 to €20 seems excessive to me, a disgrace.

Villa Selvatico is an absolute gem! The beautiful architecture of the villa is stunning, and the surrounding garden is equally breathtaking. One of the highlights is the grand staircase leading from the garden up to the villa – it creates such a magical and romantic atmosphere, especially for weddings. The views from the villa, especially at night, are simply unforgettable. Inside, it’s like stepping into a dream – with old frescos adorning the walls and ceilings, adding a touch of history and elegance to every room. We especially loved the candle-lit dinner setup; it’s incredibly romantic and creates the perfect mood for an unforgettable evening. As wedding photographers, we were in awe of every corner of Villa Selvatico. It’s the ideal venue for couples looking for a place that combines charm, history, and romance. We can’t recommend it enough!
The place is located inside a beautiful park. It's an old villa dated from perhaps the 16th century. There are a number of marble statues around the place. You can walk up from the ground to the villa, though that takes a lot of steps. There is an elevator, though. The interior contains fresco paintings, and affords a panoramic view of all four directions of the Italian contryside.
The picture tells everything, it is a must to go to. I would suggest to go in Spring or Autumn, so you'll avoid the mosquitoes in Summer and the mud in Winter. There is a good cafeteria the also serves wine. Before going visit the webpage because it is not always opened to the public.
Interesting place to visit for both the gardens and house. We visited in February but it must be spectacular in April.
Wonderful place! And the glass of prosseco was a very good surprise!

(Translated by Google) This church ⛪ certainly represents one of the symbols of the "Battle that was", so to speak, before the town's urban development moved towards the opposite bank of the canal of the same name. Having arrived on site some time ago around 5.30pm 🕠, I parked on the other side of the road (there are very few spaces) and then headed on foot 🚶🏻‍♂️ towards the structure ⛪. Unfortunately, it is in a state that appears, if not abandoned (I have not actually found confirmation in this sense), at least of considerable degradation. The layer of plaster is at the same time peeling in various places and blackened by the smog; furthermore, a scaffolding installed just below the pediment certainly does not contribute to making the view more pleasant 👁. Nonetheless, I was able to appreciate the beautiful profile of the bell tower (characteristic and richly decorated) and the facade (embellished with statues placed in special niches). Via a path on the side of the building ⛪ ("Via della Chiesa") it is possible to reach the back of the complex, although there is nothing else significant apart from a secondary entrance and a plaque affixed to the perimeter wall 🧱. On the main access door 🚪, strictly barred 🚫, there were obviously neither opening hours nor any other information. Absolute zero even in terms of caption panels 🪧. Certainly the location, close to the busy S.S. 16 "Adriatica", and the lack of a churchyard do not facilitate any visits on site. In any case, exploring Battaglia Terme and its points of interest (which are quite a few), it is worth making a stop here too 👍. (Translated by Google) This is the main place of worship 🙏🏻 in Battaglia Terme. The structure ⛪ overlooks a large square adjacent to Viale dei Colli Euganei ⛰, one of the most important streets in the town. The building ⛪ has a decidedly modern and stylized design (in fact it has always given me the impression of resembling those Protestant churches found in the USA 🇺🇸) which certainly cannot please everyone. The internal environments, on the other hand, are very light and "bright" and convey a feeling of spaciousness that I appreciate. This "new" headquarters of the parish of San Giacomo Apostolo has taken the place of the previous one; the old church ⛪ of Battaglia was in fact located on the opposite side of the canal that runs alongside the S.S. 16 "Adriatica" (the same, in truth, still exists despite its state of neglect if not abandonment). I noticed that the old accesses to the patronage have been "barred" 🚧 by a gate (once upon a time you could access freely from the square); if on the one hand I understand certain "practical" needs for control and surveillance of the area, on the other I cannot deny that this leaves me a little perplexed 🤔 (a gate certainly does not convey that idea of welcome and openness which should instead be the basis of an institution like the patronage). I don't know if (and how much) things have changed since the days of the legendary Don Antonio 🧓🏻 (I still remember him when he stopped by to warmly greet the boys 👦🏻👧🏻), but I must say that I was still a little surprised by it. Furthermore, speaking of the priest himself 🧓🏻, it is worth remembering that the creation of the "new church" ⛪ in Battaglia was owed precisely to him (he was parish priest in the town from 1971 to 2006 without interruption). The structure ⛪ is also located next to the large INPS park 🌳, an important green space for the entire community. To understand and learn about Battaglia and its history, I believe we can start right here 👍. P.S.❗️❗️❗️GOOGLE CENSORSHIP❗️❗️❗️ REVIEW REPUBLISHED WITH THIS NEW PROFILE CREATED FOLLOWING THE SHAMEFUL AND UNJUSTIFIED BLACKOUT OF THE PREVIOUS BY GOOGLE ADMINISTRATORS ❗️❗️❗️STOP CENSORSHIP❗️❗️❗️ (Original) Si tratta del principale luogo di culto 🙏🏻 di Battaglia Terme. (Translated by Google) It remains one of my favorite places for walks in the countryside, but I don't understand how the citizens of Battaglia can accept such a level of degradation and carelessness. It would be a place to be valorised, a true jewel for the country. I'm only showing a couple of photos because otherwise I wouldn't finish any more, there are so many things in disrepair, certainly outside of any safety standards, both for adults and children. Although the park is popular, it is practically in a state of abandonment. The hotel was demolished in the fascist era when the austere building of the National Fascist Institute of Social Security was built inside, which later became the INPS institute. The park is characterized by tree-lined avenues with large centenary specimens, a place full of history and suitable for a pleasant walk.
