I’d rather visit a place that takes its customers seriously and doesn’t make them feel like they are stupid for making this mistake.

It is very nice place, the outside pool is great on sunny days. The green area to lay down and access the lake is somewhat small and overall the location is not huge but you can definitely spend a couple hours here, there is a slide for little kids and one for grown-ups as well as kiddy pools and quiet areas. It is located about 600 meters on the street leading to the old Town so as part of a trip is a great option, specially if you have kids along. If you are by yourself and just wish to spend sometime on the some there might be better suited options for you.

Im Einzelnen: - Verkehrstechnisch ist die Segelschule sehr gut zu erreichen; vom Bahnhof Überlingen-Therme sind es 50 Meter und als Autofahrer erreicht man das Ziel am Eingang von Überlingen auch sehr schnell. Parkplätze sind vor der Haustür. - Die Segelschule hat einen eigenen kleinen Yachthafen und das Büro ist in einem malerischen, festgesetzten Schiff untergebracht - Ich habe mein Bodenseeschifferpatent Segeln letzte Woche hier gemacht und wurde sehr gut und umfassend auf die Prüfung vorbereitet (die ich auch problemlos bestanden habe) - Auch die Organisation rund um den Segelkurs war unbürokratisch und sehr freundlich - vom Buchen des Kurses, über das Umbuchen wegen Corona, bis hin zur Aufteilung der Trainingsstunden (wegen nachlassendem Wind haben wir z.B. einmal die Mittagspause ausfallen lassen und dafür früher Schluss gemacht) - Die Varianta-Segelboote, mit denen die Segelschule stattfindet, sind geräumig, bequem und gut zu fahren - Gleich im Anschluss an die Segelprüfung habe ich für den Rest des Tages eine Varianta mit Elektromotor ausgeliehen, was auch wieder ganz unbürokratisch lief Alles in allem kann ich sowohl die Segelschule als auch den Vercharterer nur empfehlen.
