Google took us right below so we thought we had to climb the hill to reach it but there is definitely a pathway above leading directly to the statue and view. We felt silly but it was a nice workout up the hill. The view is beautiful but definitely check out El Hornacal in Humahuaca for a more impressive more of something like this. photos taken by @alejandroseveriniph
Very nice scenic view, just hard to find it's place to stop. Just park along the road and climb a little mountain to have an upper view.
It was a great pit stop. I stopped, stretched my legs, saw a beautiful spot and continued on the adventures with my partner, Alex. Make sure to check out the cemetery right below (or passing Maimara to Tilcara).
Breathtaking ( and not just because of the altitude ;-)
(Translated by Google) Stop here! This viewpoint is a mandatory stop on your trip through Jujuy. The views are simply spectacular. Don't forget your camera to capture this magical moment. The mountains, with their ocher and reddish colors, look like they were hand-painted. The wind plays with your hair as you feel on top of the world. Below, Maimará unfolds like a painting, and the route winds between the hills, creating a landscape worthy of a postcard. Don't miss it.

What a unique experience! It was wonderful to learn how Bodega Dupont makes their wines at such a high altitude - there is clearly a lot of passion for both winemaking and the region. They may be a smaller scale operation but that makes the experience more personal and the wine taste better (in this not-professional-wine-taster's opinion). Note that you should definitely heed their directions to NOT use google maps or other GPS guidance (they send very clear driving directions to get to the winery - be prepared for dirt roads!). Sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful views of the Painter's Palette!
One of the most beautiful terraces, but unfortunately that's it. I went with the intention of buying several of their best wines, and asked for a "tasting". What they gave was over an hour of explanation of how the wine is made in super unnecessary detail (anyone who's visited 1 vineyard already knows this). No commentary on how the process affects he flavours, nothing about how each one taste what food they go with etc. And after losing an hour of my life, they only offered the tiniest pour I have seen in all of Argentina, of their cheapest wine. It's a real shame, because I'm sure their good wines are good, and I'd have happily bought a few of them, but unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the terrace and didn't buy any wine.
This wine yard is a beautiful spot in Maymara, highly recommend the visit - wines are amazing and the visit guided by Alejandro is worth it, the passion for the product and attention to detail made our day! The place is breathtaking so wine lovers do not miss it 😀
(Translated by Google) A winery well worth a visit. Our host was Jovito, a true luxury. A genius, he explained the entire artisanal process to us, and with such passion, he conveyed the love that everyone who works there has for what they do, which shows in their products: quality is their hallmark. I highly recommend it. (Original) Una bodega que bien vale ir a conocer. Nuestro anfitrión fue Jovito, un lujo. Recomiendo 100%.

(Translated by Google) Federico, the guide, treated us very well. He explained the winery's production process and how they achieve high-quality wines in the canyon. The route provided by Google Maps didn't take us there. The winery is across the Rio Grande, and from there the entire route is marked with blue signs. Reservations are required in advance. The road is suitable for driving, with no risk of getting stuck or going through water. The handmade bridge is solid. The distance to the center of Maimara is about 7 minutes, and on foot about 25 minutes, a path that's not difficult or demanding. The explanation is very good, and the wines are delicious. Beautiful museum, located in a serene valley. The building is local yet modern and the exhibition was very interesting. The staff were welcoming and informative, we managed to make up the language gaps.
Wonderful cultural experience in the middle of The jujuy andes. Small photography museum, library and coffee. A gem hidden in Huichara, across Tilcara 11 min by car. A MUST VISIT WHEN TRAVELLING BETWEEN TIK ARA AND PURMAMARCA! Opening hours are limited 11 am- 2pm.
This museum is a gem! The setting is gorgeous, the galleries are inviting and attractive, and the photography on display is thought-provoking and of high quality. It’s worth the trip down the dirt road to MEC and you’ll remember your visit for a long time. Don’t miss the silent gallery! We also enjoyed speaking with the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
A very nice museum of photos. Some national artists and a specific room where the exhibition changes from time to time. When I was there there were artists from Jujuy. It is free. You have to drive from RN9 to there in a gravel road. The architecture of the building is modern and nice.
Fantastic museum in a perfect location
Excelent photos and attention!
