Another great road to ride in Italy, amazing views.
Very nice place..all they way..the road with motorbike...real nice...
Solemn site of a ww1 memorial honoring those who had passed defending the area. Well kept up and a wonderful memorial dedicated to the memories and sacrifice of the brave soldiers. The views around it are one of a kind and it’s easy to access. Worth checking out if you are passing by.
The Military Memorial at Tonale Pass was constructed between 1922 and 1924 to honor the soldiers who gave their lives during the White War. Originally designed as a "sacred enclosure," it featured a bronze replica of the Winged Victory of Brescia at its center. Over time, the site was expanded into an ossuary, housing the remains of more than 847 soldiers relocated from nearby military cemeteries. Among them are eight Austro-Hungarian soldiers and five unidentified soldiers whose bodies were recovered from the Lobbia Alta glacier in 1964. Positioned along the state road at the border of Lombardy and Trentino, the Memorial stands as a solemn tribute to those who fell. A sign at the edge of the "Sacred Zone" notes that on April 14, 1983, the Ministry of Defense—through the General Commissioner for War Fallen Honors—entrusted its perpetual care to the municipality of Ponte di Legno. Today, the Memorial draws thousands of visitors throughout the year. It also serves as a site for official commemorations, particularly in summer, with participation from military and veterans' associations from both Austria and Italy.
A nice stop, and the weather was perfect!
Interesting memorial place in the middle of tourist city full of skiing visitors. Place to mourne about hundreds of dead soldiers fighting here in the First World War. Stop for a while after finishing your cappuccino.
Nice memorial site
You have to go inside to feel it,very errie experience,it's like you can feel the war inside, sounds crazy but that's why it's such a sacred place.

Great food and sunny terrace with nice sightseen. It's near the slope.
Went here for a weeks skiing weather was amazing snow best we have had in April for many years excellent for beginners and novices the scenery was amazing
Nice village, good ski area, for beginners to intermediates.
We saw marmots! That made our day
(Translated by Google) If you go in broad daylight during the peak summer season, it's virtually impossible to spot a marmot... but that doesn't mean the place isn't beautiful. The new children's play area allows families to spend a peaceful day outdoors and keep the little ones entertained with specially designed trails and giant slides. If you're traveling to Val di Sole with children, this is definitely a must-visit because it's very suitable for them. Getting there is a nice hike, but nothing too difficult. If you're traveling without children or with youngsters who are hiking, you can reach the Passo dei Contrabbandieri or even the Bozzi refuge; the views will make you forget the hike.
(Translated by Google) A child- and family-friendly environment. Games and wooden sculptures alternate. It seems like a great way to motivate children and parents to walk in nature and do some trekking. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the lack of shade on very hot and sunny days. At the top of the park, however, there's a large shelter where you can stop for a coffee or something, or at least have a picnic. The village is in a natural setting and free to enter. (Original) Ambiente x bambini e famiglie.

Loved the bridge <3
(Translated by Google) Breathtaking experience, passage on a double walkway in the Sentiero dei Fiori via ferrata. Very well maintained and with double safety rope. No net underneath. Walkways anchored to the rocks on both sides. Fantastic path both for the panoramic position and for the exposure. I will definitely go back.. (Translated by Google) Flower path, enchanting landscape. Excellent for a trek with friends. Via ferrata with wonderful itinerary. It mostly takes place on the crest of the mountain. It is a historic place, in fact the route was prepared by the Italian soldiers who lived there during the First World War. It is not of high technical difficulty. Definitely worth it for the scenery. The wooden walkways and the two suspension bridges are beautiful.
(Translated by Google) Unforgettable experience!!!!!! We did it at the end of the season by choice, trying to avoid the queues of the most popular periods. It takes a minimum of training to get there and certainly a good pair of boots and the right equipment. Unfortunately we found it to be a bad day, unfortunately the view wasn't that great but it's definitely a good excuse to return. (Original) Esperienza indimenticabile!!!!!!
(Translated by Google) What can I say, beautiful panorama, not very difficult via ferrata that deserves the name, sad to see the glacier with plastic blankets. There are many objects related to the war around. Departure from Tonale with cable car to the ref. Paradise Pass. We also added Cima Payer, which was technically more difficult compared to the via ferrata. Then the Lago Scuro ring, following the Presena pass, where we took the cable car down to Tonale.
(Translated by Google) Presena Fantastic via ferrata with two spectacular Tibetan bridges structured at 3000 meters so I highly recommend doing it between May and September with via ferrata equipment and a decent workout on the legs. Mountains full of history, when you walk along the via ferrata it is impossible not to think of those soldiers who lived and fought at the summit. The only downside is the almost mandatory descent by cable car from the Presena peak to the first block (Original) Presena Fantastica ferrata con due spettacolari ponti tibetani strutturata sui 3000 mt quindi consiglio vivamente di fare tra maggio e settembre con attrezzatura da ferrata e un discreto allenamento sulle gambe.
(Translated by Google) The climb from where the cable car arrives is challenging. To be done with via ferrata equipment and suitable footwear. Stunning views and flowers....lots of flowers... Panorami stupendi e fiori....tanti fiori...

I highly recommend 6PUNTO9! I had lessons with Alessandro for four days and learned to snowboard without any previous experience. I always skied and wanted to change that (it was a really great decision). During this time I not only learned to snowboard but also had a great time. It was immediately obvious that Alessandro likes to share what he loves, so the atmosphere was wonderful. He always explained everything thoroughly, so I had no doubts how to do something. Patience, commitment, empathy, communication skills and good organisation accompanied each lesson. It was an unforgettable experience for me. Thank you very much!
Eccellente! I had three, two hour snowboard lessons each with Mauricio, Lorenzo and Matteo. Excellent instructors, very patient, friendly and helpful. A great help and lots of progress from last year; I can now link my turns! 👏🏽 🏂 Thank you for all your help ☺️ See you next year ! Vikki, Glasgow
We had an excellent experience renting ski and snowboard equipment from 6Punto9 in Passo Tonale. The service was outstanding, and the equipment was top-notch. The staff’s communication in English was impressive, which isn’t always common in Italy, and they had extensive knowledge about the gear they rent out. We rented snowboards, skis, boots, helmets, and more for 8 days, and everything was of great quality. I also appreciated the flexibility to swap my snowboard a few times to try different setups – a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to explore various experiences on the slopes. To top it off, their location is super convenient – just a 2-minute walk from the slopes. Overall, 6Punto9 offers excellent customer service, high-quality equipment, and great convenience. Highly recommended! Thank you, Piotr and Family
Just the best service, from hiring the equipment to the amazing group and solo lessons. Everyone is professional, kind and always in a good mood! Best holidays vibes. We love 6punto9
Great experience with ranting three great snowboard sets, one of them I tried a new for me “step on” system and was satisfied a lot. A special thanks to the guys from the service and training teams! Always helpful and with the great hints on surroundings
I had such an amazing experience with my instructor Lorenzo. He was super professional and made sure I understood everything he was explaining. His English is amazing which makes the experience so much easier. He is very caring while participating in the lesson and makes sure to film and do a video in order to give the student a good memory from the lesson. I feel like my snowboarding skills are up a level and I can’t wait to book another lesson🤩
The absolute best rental store ive seen in my life. Every single one if the workers were amazing and super enthusiastic to help, the gear was perfect and the shoes i got were actually brand new and taken out of the box, the prices were great, the service was insane absolutely amazing store. No matter what, you can go in the store any time and theyll change your gear completely for free and immediately. If you want to try to switch from ski or snowboard they’ll immediately help you and its completely free. Also the first rental store ive seen that offer step-on bindings. And the step-ons were very cheap only 17 euros extra for 5 days. They even bothered to give me a yellow snowboard so it will match my jacket. Ive never seen a store that was even close to being this helpful and giving such good service. 100% recommend. Best store ive ever been in and its not even close. Genuinely made my trip better. 10/10
Hands down the best snowboard shop I’ve rented from! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had the perfect gear, and their honesty and professionalism really stood out. Prices were super fair, and the private lesson I took was next-level—insanely good coaching for advanced riders. If you’re in the area, this is the place to go!

(Translated by Google) Easily reachable from the Tonale pass, Forte Mero was a modern military construction for close combat. It was built in 1913 to create a stronger line between the Zaccarana and Pozzi Alti forts. Its size was very small compared to the other forts and it was armed with only 7 8mm machine guns. Nonetheless, both strategically and technologically it was absolutely cutting edge. From its position it clearly dominated the entire valley up to the Presena glacier and was equipped with electricity, a telephone connection and an optical telegraph. Like the other nearby forts, this one was also demolished by the inhabitants of the valley to recover the precious ferrous material.

In detail I can say that you get there after a walk that is suitable for everyone, even small children including, as usual, mushrooms, berries and mufflers that will keep you company along the way. There are areas equipped with tables and benches and right in front of the fort there is a point equipped for lighting a fire. During the route you cross paths that lead to the dead city and the Zaccarana fort, while continuing a few meters beyond the Mere fort you arrive at the Strino barracks, another obligatory point for enthusiasts.
