Today we had a great experience with Espaço Talassa. We made a mistake with booking but the man behind the reception was very helpfull and managed to get us tickets for the afternoon. In the morning we visites the whale watch tower and museum. After a good briefing we went with Frida as our guide and Rodrigo as the skipper on tour. We saw a lot of whales and dolphins, from 4 different species. Frida gave us a lot background information and Rodrigo guided us safely over the ocean. There was no rush, we had a lot of time to watch and make photos. Thanks for this wonderful day!
We were among the lucky ones who got to pop the champagne because we witnessed something truly rare - a sperm whale breaching right out of the water! Despite the very low chance of seeing whales that day, we not only spotted several different sperm whales, but also got to see one of them leap out of the ocean. Absolutely unforgettable! Our guides, Becky and João, were simply fantastic - they explained the behavior of the sperm whales and dolphins in such an engaging way and patiently answered all our questions. Espaço Talassa is an absolute must if you’re visiting the Azores - I can’t recommend them enough!
We had the best whalewatching experience! You start with a little briefing to get to know more about the animals. We then got a very honest update about the conditions and the possibility to see some whales or dolphins, after which you can decide whether to take the trip or to reschedule. We took our chances and had amazing trip including the sighting of three species. Big props to our guide Beccy and our skipper Ines, who did an amazing job both on the water and during the briefings. Also, the wellbeing of the animals was always a priority. The shop is also worth a visit! Lots of nice souvenirs with reasonable prices. We'll definetely try to come back!
Got to see pilot whales, sperm whales, Risso dolphins and bottle nose dolphins!! Guides and instructors were great. Had a wonderful time.
The best Whale Watching company out there! Amazing explications, super interesting and what a show we saw! Don’t know why it does not have 5 stars 🤙🏼
Very good guided whale watching tour. Highly trained, entertaining, and friendly guides. Perfectly organised and professional event.
As far as I’m concerned, the only place anyone should be doing whale watching in The Azores! The guides are super knowledgeable, the company has integrity, and we had a wonderful time! We loved how passionate they were about climate activism and respecting the animals. We saw 3 whale species, 2 different species of dolphins, and many different sea birds. They are the oldest whale watching company in The Azores. Highly recommend!
The tour and the guides& skippers were great! they are so much caring about the animals and explaining a lot, there is also an introduction befor the tour starts on the boat! I can only recommend this place for sustainable whale watching!

We watched a 1970 video and it was interesting from so many different angles. The fact that things were not sugarcoated and the focus on the wailers was great. We then walked around the museum. It took about an hour to do the movie and the museum. I think it was well worth the 2 pounds and entry fee.
A very interesting and informative museum, with a very nice collection of exhibits, paintings and historical photographs related to the history of whaling. They also show a film on the subject of whaling, filmed in 1970, in short, one learns everything about whaling.
Good documentary film about whale hunting from 1969. A lot of artifacts including hunting boats on display
it was a great museum and interesting and rlly made well w like also how the place was built in food it was enjoyable and all HOWEVER HUGE MISSED OPPORTUNITY NOT TO PUT A SIGN AT THE START SAYING 'WHALECOME'😔😔🙂‍↔️
This was very informative. Shirt movie explained the history. Worthwhile stop.
Small museum with information around the whalers from Pico. The film/video gives a lot of information about the Wahlers and their live, very recommended.
Be sure to watch the movie, you will learn so much about the history of whaling here in Pico
Interesting to learn they were still whaling by row boats and hand thrown harpoons as late as 1970. Crazy.

Perfect! We saw 3 whales and many dolphins. It was hard to capture them, they were fast :) Staff is friendly and everything was well organised. Some recommendations before your trip. Company said they give jackets and pants, but we didn’t get it so take with you waterproof clothes. The jacket with hook would be nice since it’s windy and waterproof pants not must have, but nice to have. The same for shoes, sleepers are the best option, but not so necessary if it’s a sunny day. Suncream is recommended too. P.S. Thank you for Kima in the end ;)
We had an amazing time whale watching with theses guys. We saw both common and striped dolphins. Literally hundreds of them, then an unbelievable display from a lone female humpback 🐋 who jumped out of the ocean to the right of our zodiac. The best was saved for last as we floated along for a while beside two female sperm whales who were suckling their young calves. The sea was quite choppy meaning quite a few people were sick, but we had no problem and enjoyed every minute of this three hour excursion.
You will almost certainly see whales, and you may be additionally surprised by playful dolphins, perhaps even an organism - Physalia physalis, which belongs to the fireflies, and there may be a Kareta sea turtle nearby. The latter feed on stingrays, so they are often in the company of jellyfish. The team is well organized, but keep in mind that the path of the whales and dolphins is quite wet, so wear appropriate clothing. The waterproof jacket can be taken without a layer at the starting point, but the waterproof pants...no..
We went on a whale and dolphin watching tour with Aqua Açores in Pico, and it was an incredible experience! We were a bit worried it would feel too touristy, but it turned out to be the exact opposite. We went out in a zodiac boat, which made the experience feel much more intimate and respectful of the animals. Our guide, Ana, was truly passionate and shared lots of fascinating facts and anecdotes about the animals we saw along the way. The team is really well organized, they work with spotters up in the mountains who help locate the whales and dolphins so the boat can head in the right direction. We saw several sperm whales and many dolphins from different species. It was a magical and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
Awesome experience. We were able to see several species of whales, including a sperm whale and calf, despite it being somewhat off season. Guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. If you get sea-sick I might avoid whalewatching in Pico as it’s quite bumpy.
I did the experience and I cant but reacting to people complaining about the fact they saw "just dolphins" and foremost suggesting that the company do false advertising. We are in nature, animals are not driven by a game controller. it would be like asking a discount to a casino when you lost your money to the machines. and the point is, whatever encounter we make on the sea worth the money, even if we meet a few dolphins, which is already like touching grace to my opinion! the company does a great work. The skipper and the guide are very professional and heart people, I recommand to do 2 trips, because it will show that it is Nature whi is "the boss", yesterday was fantastic a lot of dolphins, spermwhales and pilot whales, the sea was calm, 2 days ago, was different, yes we did not see spermwhales but different species of dolphins and different behaviours , even if we did not see whales, we had encounters and they were magical, merci to the team of Aquaacores who do the best to co co create with the sea and ocean beeings to give happiness to people. Merci beaucoup
Huge disappointment! Didn't see the sperm whales or any other whale, only see birds and a pack of common dolphins. You must correctly choose your day with help of weather forecast to make the tour, chances can get really low to see big whales. The day we went it was foggy and visibility was very low. As these companies work with help of the watchers and they cannot see where the whales are from the shore. On these occasions the captains / company should not leave because chances are really low to watch anything. Family of six payed good price to see nothing, not even a discount for next time. Just another business making money. Maybe in a few years I will try again
Really great tour! Sofia (our guide) was super nice and spoke really good english. She was constantly making sure everyone was okay (the ride was slightly bumpy at some point) and knew a lot about the wild life! We were able to spot dolphins (of 3 different species) and a sperm whale.

A large park that has plenty of seating, places for BBQs, toilets and a "fitness" trail that is good for kids, even adults! There's also a pen area that holds deer. Apparently it gets busy on weekends but we came during on a Monday in June and we pretty much had the park to ourselves. You can make it to the sea from the park, you'll need to pass the football pitches and follow the road to the left.
Great place to go with the kids. Two playgrounds: one for little kids and one for older ones. There was also some BBQs, tables to eat, restrooms, sport fields, deers, sport devices.
What seen to be a nice place with the history of the island and well maintained, turned out to be a prison for a dozen deers squeezed in a small place between the rocks, a downer to see their sad faces
The forest is nice but I didn’t like the deer enclosure. The space for those animals is small they don’t seem to live good there..
Hardly anyone use this park because the whole island is a park in itself. Hiking trail is available bit kind of hidden. Washroom facilities available. There is also a deer enclosure too.
wonderful place, perfect for kids and adults, also with gym equipment, to play and have a picnic, with shelter, and discover the story of the islands
Nice place. The only problem is the main road. Where people dont have respect at speed.
Good social distancing measures in place, they have live deer living in a separate space in the park, great for families and children. Fresh water fountains, private areas with your own barbeque available, senior area to do exercise with unique equipment, ample parking and bathrooms available. Lots of children equipment, one of the best parks in all of Pico, stunning views of the ocean overlooking a football court.

We had a great experience with Zeca and his team. We did the "Advanced Adventurer Course" and it was an enjoyable experience. After our couse we did multiple dives and a trip to the Princess Alice bank. Everything was arranged very well (personal, safe and professional). When I send the diveschool a whatsapp message to book and arrange the response was quick and clear.
Amazing shore diving / very family friendly !! We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this diving center! The guides, Luana and Fred, truly made the trip unforgettable. Their expertise and friendliness created a welcoming atmosphere. What stood out to me was their flexibility and their remarkable ability to accommodate families with babies, making it a truly inclusive and enjoyable adventure. Luana and Fred's professionalism and warm personalities created an exceptional diving experience. We can't wait to return and explore the underwater world with them again!
Super experience with these people, I haven't dived for a year and they helped me a lot at all times and the marine fauna of the Azores is another level! Thx Luana and company
We had a really good experience diving with Brizacores. Did two dives in the morning with them. The staff is really friendly and we felt that the experience was both personal and professional. What stood out was that the whole time we didn't feel like we were just another customer for a business. We would without a doubt go with them if we're diving in Pico again.
Contacted this shop regarding a liveaboard trip. I was initially given the courtesy of a response with dates and some basic information, but afterward the owner stopped responding. Multiple phone calls and emails were ignored - behavior I'd expect from a teenager, not a professionally run dive shop. The owner's wife even picked up and said she'd get him to respond to me, but I was never given that basic courtesy. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable in my book, and in some sense I suppose I was done a favor since I don't think the way I was treated is indicative of the type of business at which I'd like to spend my money. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
Had a great dive with José in early November. Dive was booked last minute in the late morning for later in the day. José met us in town and was accommodating, knowledgeable and professional, and quickly got the dive organized. We did a nice, casual shore dive with great visibility that was precisely what I was looking for. I would dive with Brizaçores whenever returning to Pico.
Very nice outfit, professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The whole family, including 60 year olds and teens, did a dive baptism and loved it! Thanks guys for a great experience
Nice dives with Zeca, very attentive instructor

(Translated by Google) Nice from the outside, but the tower was locked even though it says online that it is open all the time. An information board outside explains which animals you might see. We didn't see/recognize any, but we didn't expect that either. Don't drive on the gravel road, stay on the main road. There is a footpath from there. (Translated by Google) We stopped for a visit last September while in Lajes do Pico. We certainly expected more from how it was acclaimed in our tour guide. If you want a relaxing and professional massage, come here. Two of us got hot stone massages and it was wonderful. From the friendliness of the front staff, to the smell of oils/lotion, and candles, it was very soothing. The masseuses we had were very nice and tailored the massage to our needs. I will be back here again, and hopefully soon.
I experienced from Barbara working with me, a high quality range of competent techniques applied to the needs of my injury. Exceptional personal attentiveness to my needs also. Robyn / Robina McCurdy from New Zealand.
I was experiencing back pain due to travel I called the clinic and they were able to give me a massage appointment the next day. My massage was with Pedro and it was fantastic 24 hours later and by back pain is completely gone i absolutely recommend PhysioEmotion. The bonus is that everyone speaks English. 10/10 will be returning to the clinic
I had the most amazing Azorean massage ( regular massage combined with with warmed smooth lava rocks) that soothes your whole body. Thank you so much for making my day so wonderful, and for your professionalism.
I get a very good therapeutic massage. Thank you very much! It was a special service that you pic us up and also bring back to our hotel. The ambiente was nice and very relaxed. Thank you.
We had 2 massages on 2 days and both were amazing🤗! Receptionste is very helpfull and friendly and therapists are very professional. We just called and could come the same day. Veey clean and good. Just simply perfect!
Patricia has done reflexology on my feet for several years which is a blessing. I do not know what condition I would be in with walking today if not for this. They are all so caring and genuine. We are blessed here in Pico to have these many helpful services available!!! Thank you Brenda
I love Patricia. She has done wonders for me. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. It's very clean, professional and very friendly staff.
