Looking back on our time in Flores, I would say renting e-bikes was easily one of the best choices we made! It gave us a very convenient, flexible, and stress-free way of exploring the island without having to deal with bus schedules or a car. Although not their primary service, I can 100% recommend WestCanyon for e-bike rentals! Very reliable and communication with Marco was smooth and easy! 💯

Level 1 Canyoning with Marco and Ryan was a fantastic experience. The equipment was great and we had sufficient layers to keep us warm throughout. Great diversity of challenges including jumps, slides, rappelling, and zip lines. Highly recommended!

I did level 1 with Hugo and Romeu and loved it! It was out of my comfort zone but both guides were amazing, very professional, safety is taken seriously, and I felt comfortable doing this knowing I was in good hands. I definitely recommend canyoning in Flores with WestCanyon, and disconnect from your phone for a couple of hours. They took great photos and videos!

We are totally happy with our experience with west canyon and we are so glad that we did a canyoning tour with them. We did a level one tour and had not one moment were we felt insecure. The two guides were a lot of fun and had a good look at all the members of the group. Not my first but by far the best Canyoning I've ever done!!! Marco and Hugo are awesome guides and the Canyoning is something else. Standing on top of a 115m Waterfall, knowing that you have to rapple down there in a few moments was one of the most insane experiences I ever had! Amazing canyoning experience in Flores 🙌 The booking process was very easy (only whats app confirmation needed). Our guide Marco was very well prepared and made us feel confortable during the whole experience. My husband and I signed for the level I canyoning experience and it was AWESOME! We had cool jumps, slides and descended pretty cool waterfalls. Even though we were the only 2 people canyoning that day, the price stayed the same (low season). 100% recommended , also for people without any experience like me 😝

We really enjoyed this museum. It was very interesting and we learned a lot about whaling and how it started in Portugal. On top of that we came on a Sunday and found out there was no admission charge on Sundays. I'd highly recommend it on any day!

I visited the old "Fabrica" where they were processing the whales to make oil from them at the middle of 20th century. It is now (since 2015) a museum, where the entrance is very cheap (I think I payed just 2e for entrance). The museum is interesting, set up according to modern museology, with pictures, old whaling tools, a lot of information, an interesting video and more. Spend possibly 45 minutes inside and was impressed. This was the best visit of whaling industry museum I did in the Azores, as I visited another two whaling museums in Pico island. The area in front of the museum with the Atlantic ocean waves rolling in gray rocks is wild and beautiful.

We really enjoyed our visit — it’s well-organized and very interesting. A big plus is that it’s just 10 minutes from the airport, and they kindly let us leave our luggage there for free. The man at the ticket desk was also incredibly kind and welcoming!

We did Canyoning at OC Experience. They were very professional and took all safety standards very seriously while also giving us a well organized adventure. The process from booking to meeting the guides went very smooth and they made it an unforgettable experience. They made pictures along the way so that you don’t have to think of GoPro’s or phones. Our trip to Corvo with Francisco Pimentel as guide was even better than we hoped. We really appreciated his expert knowledge of birds, plants, geology, and history. The boat trip and everything else was professional and well organized. Couldn't ask for more :-)

We had an amazing time riding the Zodiac over to Corvo from Flores in June. The crew took exceptional care of our safety and we loved the open water trip. It was exhilarating and Corvo was so quaint and such a welcoming village. We loved the trip with our driver to the Caldera. It was clear and what a view. We were very lucky with the weather. Our guide showed us through the village and we met David at the unique lock store . Very interesting indeed as we watched him create these centuries old locks. Would highly recommend this company for your trip to Corvo. The trip ended with a lovely coastline tour to see up close the pristine waters and natural pools and caves. In Flores the next day we had an amazing guide Francisco. His love for Flores was so apparent and he didn’t leave any part of the island unexplored by the time we finished the tour. In the morning we explored the southern coastline and then returned to Santa Cruz for an authentic Portuguese lunch in a local restaurant. So delicious and charming. We enjoy eating with the local citizens. After lunch we travelled to completely unspoiled areas at the higher elevations and enjoyed the calderas and true God’s country. This area is protected and completely surrounded by lakes and forests. If you enjoy the outdoors this is a piece of heaven on earth. Lastly we continued to the many waterfalls and hiked to a very special place where at least a dozen different waterfalls converged onto a pristine lake. Save time to pause and reflect on where you are. You will sense the calm nature can bring to enjoy this moment. Francisco, thank you for sharing this memorable day with us from sharing your knowledge to your special bond with your grandfather and the reason you do what you do to the serene beauty of Flores.
