A real treasure trove. Excellent, clean and bright. Several floors with variety of exhibits & lift available.Very interesting displays, with clear descriptions. Thoroughly recommend a visit.
Museum charting the town of Cieza from its earliest days . Very interesting architecture.
A super town museum. Free entry. Set over 4 floors in the town's old casino, this delightful building is well repurposed. It's very open plan inside, with some seating areas and clean toilets. The displays have explanations written only in Spanish which as a foreigner meant little, however, you can usually piece together the text with the artifacts. The neanderthal exhibition was easy to follow and entertaining. The reproduced 12th century Siyasa houses were interesting and surprisingly large. The exhibition of Alfonso10th was very wordy, so I skipped it, and the even more baffling 19th century gent whose identity remained a mystery I ignored. Cieza is a workaday town so any entertainment is to be celebrated, do call in and spend an hour in this splendid building.
Museo Siyasa is a great museum. The reconstruction of the house from Medina Siyasa is fantastic and well worth going to the museum just for that. Very interesting. The displays are modern and well laid out. It's also free!

(Translated by Google) I haven't seen the entire place but from the outside you can guess how comfortable and pleasant it is, because it is and it's worth it. Especially for the decoration and attention. Everything very clean and cared for. Good location and not expensive prices. It seemed like a place to go every week. However, and with great regret, I only give it 3 stars: I personally like to be quiet in a cafe, but there are degrees of customer behavior that we usually tolerate when we go to a restaurant. I say this because there was a group of men who were shouting as if they were at a concert or something worse, and it was very unpleasant to endure that. Thank goodness it was in the entrance room, which is away from the bar. To give you an idea of the scandal and rudeness of those customers, there was a speaker with music about 3 meters away. Well, I almost couldn't identify the song and the lyrics of the screams that were heard. Imagine that the Shazam app could hardly identify the song it was trying to search for. Otherwise everything is fine, because I really like these types of places with charm and taste, clean. I hope that these customers are punctual at the time, just opened in the afternoon, because it was impossible to be happy with such a spectacle. The place deserves better customer care in that sense.

First time trying the climbing Alex made us feel relaxed and was there to provide advice and encouragement. Had a great time and will definitely be trying another of the events offered
We had an absolutely fantastic time, Alex was brilliant—super helpful and reassuring with our two young kids, keeping them at ease while also making the experience fun and exciting. The kids especially loved the heights of the K2 and are already asking to go again the next time we're in the area. I can’t recommend Alex and his team highly enough. A top-notch adventure and great for families!
Had such a fantastic time. The team were awesome; fun, safe, and knowledgeable. Also great at reassuring those more nervous participants. Highly recommend!
What a fantastic experience. Guides were absolutely brilliant and made sure it was inclusive of everyone’s ability and confidence! Guides did well to balance two different language speaking families and ensured it was a friendly, encouraging atmosphere throughout. Well worth the money!
We did the via ferrata del Zarzalar. The guides were very funny and we felt safe at all times. It was an unforgettable experience.
A fantastic, adventurous day with Buitre Aventuras! We did the canyoning down to the Río Segura and enjoyed every single moment! It is a spectacular adventure with a variety of slides, jumps and abseiling. The highlight was definitely the last abseiling down into the river Segura. Big compliments to the guides! From beginning to end, we felt in very good hands, we felt safe at all times and the guides took very good care of us. It was only my husband and me and the guides, so it was very personalised. The guides made sure we had fun and thanks to their humor and jokes, we were laughing all the times. They were also very professional and well equipped. The wetsuits, helmets, ropes,... all was new and in the best conditions. Thanks to the thick wetsuits, we were not cold in any moment and we enjoyed being in the water for a couple of hours. They also took photos of us and we could later download all photos from their website, this was definitely a big plus. We appreciated that they did not charge us any extra for the photos. We definitely recommend Buitre Aventuras and can't wait for our next adventure with them!
We all had a great time on this adventure. Our family was visiting from the U.S. and wasn’t sure what to expect but the water, jumps, and final repel was a trip we will never forget.
We had a very good experience with the climbing! They were patient if there was a difficulty and took there time to help you. Also, they had a little game trough the activity what was very fun to do. We recommend this and had very much fun!

After the invasion, burning and kidnapping of Ciezanos on April 6, 1477 by the Moors of Granada, this Fortress was built to repel future attacks. Octagonal in plan, in the upper body is The Conjuratory that was used to bless the fields and is one of the few remaining in the Region of Murcia. On the ceiling of the Conjuratory there are some frescoes made by the painter Muñoz Barberán.
(Translated by Google) The current Hermitage of San Bartolomé, considered the oldest Christian construction in Cieza, has its roots in the dawn of the birth of the current Cieza, although the first church of the town will not be directly linked to San Bartolomé until centuries later. The hermitage will sit on the primitive church of Cieza, a small temple whose dating is related to the new Christian settlement after the abandonment of the Muslim Siyâsa. The old church was rebuilt on several occasions due to the different Muslim attacks that devastated the town, and later due to its abandonment, probably following the same fate as the fortress built after the Muslim attack of 1477. The construction of a new one parish church much more in line with the needs of the growing population, relegated the hermitage to the background, becoming practically abandoned, and even being used, according to documents from the mid-19th century. XVI, as a shelter for the flock. One of the most notable reconstructions was carried out in 1541, on the occasion of the visit of Emperor Charles V, who spent the night in the town on December 9, 1541 and prayed in the patron's hermitage. The adoption of San Bartolomé as patron saint of the Ciezanos, which dates back to at least the end of the 19th century. XV, will be a determining factor in the fate of the old church. From the strong devotion to the apostle will arise in the s. XVI the Brotherhood of San Bartolomé, of patronage character, dedicated to all types of prayers and acts in honor of San Bartolomé. The remains of the old church will be reused for the institution of a hermitage in honor of the patron, of which we already have news in 1681, although the patron will spend most of the year in the chapel he has in the new parish church. From there every April 25 he solemnly moved to his hermitage, staying there until August 15. Around 1714, the remodeling of the hermitage began, which lasted for several decades, transforming its appearance and functionality to become a hermitage where the patron saint could be worshiped. In 1790 the image of the patron saint was definitively moved to his hermitage, since until then it was in his chapel in the parish church. In it you can see the artistic heritage of the Brotherhood. CONJURATORY: The Conjuratory of the Hermitage of San Bartolomé de Cieza, together with that of the Real Alcázar-Sanctuary of the Stª Cruz de Caravaca, constitute the only two examples preserved in the entire SE of Spain. Conspiracies were used to ward off clouds when there were signs of storms and weather adversities. It has an octagonal plan, opened by six quadrangular openings through which the saint looked out to chase away the storms. The interior is decorated with popular fresco paintings with vegetal motifs based on floral vases and garlands, roughly made, and originating from the early 19th century. XIX, in a very local baroque. In the vault a storm is staged with a large central cloud from which lightning emerges. ARCHITECTURE: The hermitage of San Bartolomé is sober in style, both outside and inside. It is made up of two superimposed bodies. The lower body has a single nave with a single main access door framed by a semicircular arch, and above it a porthole.

Built in 1703 on the old 16th century temple dedicated to Santa María. We can review the façade in a Rococo baroque, typical of the time, observing on both sides of the Corinthian capitals the face of the architects who designed it, attributing the construction work to the same masons who built the Vera Cruz de Caravaca hermitage years before, having, apart from the main door, two side doors. In the one on the left, called San Pedro, the date of construction is preserved in the upper part of it. The right door is dedicated to Santa María. In the second half of the 19th century, the church suffered a fire that forced renovations to the temple, such as the construction of a new bell tower in 1873, the work of Jose Marín Baldó in the Romanesque New Historicist style, which would take advantage of the previous baroque base. This bell tower has a clock oriented towards the Plaza Mayor, the nerve center of the town used by the Ciezanos throughout its history as a market, bullring and currently as the site of the Town Hall. The bell tower has a clock oriented towards the Plaza Mayor, the nerve center of the town used by the Ciezanos throughout its history as a market, bullring and currently as the site of the Town Hall. On Cartas Street you will find the entrance to the Sacristy of the Church. Entering it we see the photograph of an illustrious citizen of Cieza, Bishop Jesús Mérida Pérez, an influential person in the political life of the 1940s, who developed his ministry in Astorga (León). On both sides of his image are the shield of the Bishop of Mérida and on the other the plaque that the Ciezanos dedicated to him for his work in favor of the Ciezana town. Located in the central nave of the Basilica we find the main altar, the work of Cieza carpenters made after the civil war, due to the destruction during the war of the one built in 1911 by Sebastián Guillen, helped by Manuel Carrillo. Previously, there was a baroque altarpiece that was sold at the beginning of the century to the ¿Los Juanes¿ church in Valencia, to obtain funds for the installation of a new floor in our basilica. The processional images that we can admire inside were carved by Roque López, Benedito, González Moreno, Sánchez Lozano, Capuz, Manuel Juan Carrillo Marco and José Planes, among others. From Holy Week until the day of the Cross we can also admire the image of Santo Cristo del Consuelo, by Juan Rigusteza (17th century), the most venerated in the town. (Translated by Google) The temple is a wonder, restored a few years ago, it contains images of Holy Week in Cieza, declared of National Tourist Interest. It is worth visiting, it is a shame that it is only open during worship hours, so you can take advantage of about three-quarters of an hour beforehand to rotate your visit. Its main body houses the so-called choir on the first floor, where an impressive organ is located, also recently restored. We also find five chapels, where, among others, we can observe Christ and the Virgin by Álvarez Duarte, and other works of sculptural interest. In recent times and given the involvement of Brotherhoods of Passion, which are responsible for the maintenance of these chapels, the Basilica has taken another step in its interest.

(Translated by Google) I didn't know this place, today is the first time I have visited it and it seems like a very cozy place. It is not a very large venue, it is perfect for small celebrations (approximately 60 people) and has an external area to enjoy the outdoors, which also includes a play area for children and teenagers, such as a soccer field, table football and inflatable mattress. The cuisine is exceptional, the dishes are elaborate and the menus are very complete. But I wanted to highlight the staff, the attention has been unsurpassed. Recommended of course!! (Translated by Google) Highly recommended. I rented it for a family celebration. The facilities are very well maintained, as seen in the photos, very clean and like new. In addition, everything is designed so that adults and children can enjoy the day: several play areas for children, which are controlled by a camera so that parents can see them from the living room, barbecue, toilets inside and on the terrace, sound equipment both inside and outside, WiFi, bar with cameras that cool very well, tables of various types, different types of lighting, etc. I also hired catering for the food with them, and everything was great, you can tell that they cook with love and with quality raw materials. Abundant dishes, very well cooked and plated, everyone loved it. Antonio, the owner, is great, everything is easy for what you plan to do and he also provides very good ideas for the organization of the event. Their idea is that if you rent the place, you use it and feel at home, and that's how it was. Even better. That day it rained and several things had to be modified at the last minute, without any problem, they are a great team of very professional people! We had a great day, I hope we can repeat it soon! They also open the doors for lunches and dinners at certain times of the year, which I hope to be able to go to sometime! (Original) Muy recomendable.
