Very informativ and interesting museum, I was very surprised about the setup. It’s a must go with children and parents.
I have heard very favorable references about Centro Ciência Viva da Floresta and regard it as an important infrastructure for the dissemination of science in a city hidden in the interior of the country. Unfortunately, I visited it on a Saturday morning and … it was closed!
Interesting, peaceful and tranquil. We'll worth a visit
Amazing and very interactive museum, great for children of all ages and adults, very interesting and we all learned a lot, all displays are in English as well... Great to visit at any time, it has an antique fire engine where children can get in the front seat and ring the bell, fire fighter simulation by truck and airplane, short movie, lots of things to try out and play. there is also a playground and a lake outside... pretty amazing place to visit!!!
Very nice museum, it's cool that is interactive. Not much English. But when you are nearby bring a visit
The place is well designed, spotlessly clean, informative and has interactive activities for both adults and children. Outside there is plenty of space to walk and relax and a playground for children. The floor crew are knowlegable and very helpful. Even though we did not speak the language, they did their best to pass on information. The only downsides are that there are dying ants and also fish in aquariums. With today's technology there is no need for this and should be freed.
A very interesting and well presented exhibition of forest related science exhibits. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful even with the restrictions in place because of the COVID 19 pandemic. (At the moment you are required to book the time of your visit to ensure you can be accommodated within the reduced capacity of the centre.) There is a good cafe on a cool terrace too. There is lots here for children and adults alike.
The guidance made by the exhibition team was wonderful, the room themes were very interesting... inside and outside! Very nice to open kids minds.

“Another place close to my town that I had to check, the views from there are incredible! “Portas de Almourão” are located +- 20 km from Proença-a-Nova, close to a town named “Foz do Cobrão”. On each side of the valley you have platforms to observe the incredible views of the place!” - that’s how I described this amazing place! The views are stunning and the little village of Foz do Cobrão and Sobral Fernando are so cute, the little streets are picture perfect! Not forgetting to talk about the natural swimming pool inside the village and on the main river, what else could you ask?!
The beach right next to it are super calm and a nice spot for a picnic
Not an easy hike. Use good footwear and take lots of water with you but don't forget swimwear and camera 'cos the spot is amazing!
(Translated by Google) A pleasant and very interesting place to visit. The natural beauty is remarkable when the weather is not dry and the river has a significant flow. For the more adventurous, there are numerous hiking trails in the mountains that flank the Ocreza River.
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful geological landscape, with griffon vultures and black storks flying over it. There is a trail from Sobral Fernando, but unfortunately it is not marked on the ground. It is worth exploring the area and going down to the river to see the "doors" from the front and enjoy the whole setting!

Vale a pena a paragem.
(Translated by Google) Magnificent natural scenery set in a serene valley crossed by the Ocreza River. A sort of miniature version of the Portas do Ródão, only about 20 minutes away by car. There is an excellent viewpoint next to the road parallel to the river where you can enjoy the view from the front of the gates. The site can be accessed via a forest road (preferably on foot or by 4x4) accessed via the same road. (Original) Cenário natural magnífico inserido num vale sereno percorrido pelo rio Ocreza. Uma espécie de miniatura das Portas do Ródão separadas por apenas cerca de 20 minutos de carro.
