We have had a beautiful experience diving with La Restinga diving from start to finish and these memories will last a lifetime for all of us. Booking with La Restinga (months in advance..) was easy and we were given comprehensive information and guidance from the start always with warmth and friendliness. We made some changes to the booking closer to our holiday and that was no problem, solutions found, again a positive warmth to all communications. For December it was a little bit windy, it was colder maybe for some but for us coming from Cornwall, UK it was summer daytime temperatures in the sun and spring/Autumn temperatures at night or in the shade. The water was a steady 21 degrees. The diving we chose was a super helpful refresher dive for me after many years of no diving and three newly UK qualified teenagers, and then 4 guided boat dives. The refresher from the shore into the harbour at La Restinga was great fun, plenty to see and re acclimatising was comfortable. Our instructors/guides were very knowledgeable and fun, luckily very good at English - our Spanish definitely needs work! The boat dives were relaxed but professional, we felt like we were in very good hands at all times, the warmth and friendliness of the team flowing through everything. As a family our minds were blown by the joy of sharing time underwater together observing beautiful things in new dimensions with new friends made over two days. We met groups from Madrid who were super kind and we all laughed our way through our Spanglish conversations. What else to say? The area of El Pinar including La Restinga is very relaxed, allow yourself to unwind, connect with everyone and everything around you, what an incredible place to spend time. Just returned from diving with Arrecifal and had one of the best diving experiences ever! The owners/dive masters were fantastic. We did a refresher one day which was super helpful and organized. The dives sites we experienced were unique with the volcanic formations as well as a lot of fishes! I cannot recommend Arrecifal enough! I hope my husband and I can return.

Very nice and informative centre. Very interesting information about the most recent underwater volcanic eruption including video footage and plenty of photographs. Also particularly interesting for me information was explanation how the island of El Hierro evolved.

We visited the Volcanological Interpretation Center today. We loved the exposition and the enlightening explation of the Island's birth and geolocical facets of and faces of the vulcanic activities in the past. Beautifully done, loved the 'lava garden' and the path through it, that was created. Also very fascinating to see the documentation and video show of the birth of the latest volcano off the shore of Restinga (still just below sea level, but who knows how long that will stay like that?!) :-) We had obtained a museum passport for the island, and this was the second highlight of the four we ticked off to date.

I had an awesome time with Tagoro Dive whilst on a five day diving trip with friends! The crew was super friendly and made everything feel personal. Loved the little touches like coffee in the morning and tea on the boat. They were really professional and made sure we were safe the whole time. Plus, their enthusiasm for showing us around their beautiful environment was contagious. The detailed debriefing panels are top! I highly recommend Tagoro Dive for a few days of diving fun!

I would give 6 stars if I could! I did my Advanced Open Water certification plus Deep Diving specialty with Tagoro Dive, and couldn't have asked for better teachers and guides to the underwater world of El Hierro. I ended up logging 12 dives at Tagoro, and they were all a blast, with clear briefings and debriefings, great organization, good equipment, and new things to discover underwater every day. Plus, on my very last dive, I had the luck and privilege to see the elusive Tiburon Solrayo (Odontaspis ferox), a species of shark that can be observed only in a handful of spots in the whole world! Tagoro runs some of the best dives Ive been to. They place great emphasis on safety without being too strict or pampering. In briefings, they teach divers to navigate currents and be safe when the situations were challenging. My own oversights were gently corrected while good habits acknowledged, these are qualities that great instructors embody. Ive had the pleasure of having the pillars of the Tagoro team and their family leading my dives and/or being my buddy on dives. Marisa has a keen eye for spotting tiny Harlequin crabs in corals, Adri knows the addresses of unique creatures like the fang toothed yellow moray with its glassy teeth, David I am grateful for recommending Tacoron at night, and Anto has the ability to point out slipper lobsters and demonstrate how to make bubble rings. Evan pointed out expertly camouflaged flounders, Jaime kept a watchful eye over me, and Pille pointed out an unforgettably beautiful pregnant small toothed sand tiger shark that must have been 4m long! Their energy injects a vibrancy amongst all the divers making each trip fun filled. Last but not least, they always pick up trash either below or above the water, exemplifying conservationalism and love for ones environment. I wholeheartedly recommend them. I just finished 2 great days of diving with Buceo El Bajón. Small groups, fun staff, and amazing dives. If you love diving, El Hierro should be on your bucket list. The visibility, rock formations, and marine life are all incredible. Before booking my trip I had lots of small logistics questions, which were quickly answered and very helpful. Most of them had nothing to do with diving , but Ginella took the time to answer everything. I did 4 dives in total, including 2 at El Bajón, the most famous dive in the area. I can’t imagine a better experience and I’m sure I will be back next year!

For starters, I would like to apologise to the incredible team at Buceo El Bajón for how long overdue this review is! I dove with BeB for three days in April, and each dive was better than the last. I booked the accommodation package; it was a brilliant value, and staying directly above the dive centre in my own (spacious, immaculate, sunshine-filled) flat could not have been a better experience - especially getting to take a hot shower immediately after putting away equipment. The team at the dive center weren't only knowledgeable and safe; they were also *fun*. I laughed so much and felt really well taken care of - and trusted as an experienced diver. I noticed that most of their online reviews were in Spanish, and indeed, I was the only person on the boat who wasn't fluent in Spanish - but I sure got to put years of study into practice, and if there was something I didn't understand, there was always someone on the boat who could explain it to me in English. To the instructors, boat captain, and owners, thank you for overwhelmingly positive memories. Also... El Hierro is a really special place - one I would love to come back to. Hold tight during the Bajón dive, and watch where you grab the rock!

We did our PADI Advanced Open water at El Bajon and also some fun dives & we are so happy we decided to do it at this dive centre! Most of the instructors speak English & the vibe there is super nice and relaxed. Also, the divespots were very beautiful and diverse :) We had an amazing couple of days of diving there & I would recommend it to everyone!

Thank you Tom, you make one of the finest, easy going and fun instructor I've ever had. All are really kind and respectful. The boat is a little party boat which gives you the "fiesta" feeling on the top:). Fear prices, great instructions and good equipment. We did our first dive at the center and it was amazing! Everything very well explained so we felt save and at ease during the dive. The people there are super friendly and open while obviously knowing what they are doing :) At first, we were a bit turned off by the prospect of doing the dive in the harbour area, but the la Restinga harbour is amazingly beautiful and full of wildlife :) there were turtles and cuttlefish amongst other funny creatures and we got to pet a sea cucumber 🥒!
