This is a really nice place to go if you are in the local area. It's an old Iron Age sites which is a great historical interest. It can get a little breezy up here. It's great for a walk around and if the sun is shining or it's not too windy then you can have long walks and also meet people who are still camping in the local area.
Excellent hill Fort. Great parking, great views and perfect for families and dogs. Dogs are to be kept on a lead as lots of other dogs, and grazing animals. 15 century white horse but lacking in artistic form and its been rendered with white cement. Great villages near by and lovely church at Edington.
Free parking with wide open space for walking, playing or picnics. Temporary toilets and ice cream van. Paragliding at top. The white horse has lots of surrounding paths with amazing views. Lots of butterflies and flowers.
An under rated attraction close to Salisbury. I remember reading about this place in books when I was a child and it was unbelievable to see it. Gives a great view of the area as well. Very large car park as well.
Fantastic place for exploration and a picnic - even on a windy day, the Iron Age bods thoughtfully dug trenches where it was sheltered, warm and sunny. The horse is beautiful, recently restored very well. Lots of free parking. Thank you to all concerned.
Went on the most beautiful day. Great parking available. Dogs allowed some on lead and some off lead. No one seemed to be bothered. Stunning views from the hill be careful of small kids couldn’t slip as it very steep in areas.
Gorgeous views for miles, we stayed for the sunset and that was magical. The horse was spectacular
The hill is best enjoyed by walking up the steep hill from the layby halfway between Westry and Barton. Lots of wild flowers and insects

Stayed for 3 nights for a post Christmas break. Beautiful spacious room with gorgeous shower. Sian,Cristina ( and all staff ) were brilliant- friendly and efficient. Food was fantastic throughout- absolutely recommend the loin of Venison- though all meals were excellent. Nice location for Stonehenge where we enjoyed a fantastic sunset and topped off with a visit to Wolves of Wiltshire for an incredible animal adventure.
Really lovely pub located in rural westbury. Outdoor area had plenty of benches, with its own bar and freshly made pizza from another van. Was perfect on a warm summer evening. Food was great, though felt the mackerel toast at £9 was a tad sharp. Burgers were lovely- 3D ordered and the Korean burger. Hadn’t tried a Korean burger before- a good portion size but a tad too sweet for my liking (not sure if that is standard for a Korean burger). Service was great, friendly staff. Presentation of food was fantastic. Really loved the toast and calamari plates. Parking free of charge but fairly busy (was a Friday night though). Would recommend visiting here.
Cosy English pub with outdoor garden, and picturesque surrounding fields. Garden is perfect for some reading with a little drink. They play light music outside which sets a relaxed vibe
We have the excellent set menu lunch. Food was tasty and brough to us in good time by friendly but effective staff. Special shout out to the fries which other shadowed the thick cut chips that come with fish and chips. Really like the cozy and rustic ambience. The weather wasn't great so look forward to visiting again and trying the outdoor seating.
First time I’ve been there even though I’m a semi local who has been away for twenty odd years , used to live up in westbury and didn’t have posh pubs back in my day , recommended by one of me mates one others where worried it would be an bit steep or posh for us Most pleasantly surprised their local own micro brew beers were only a fiver each well in our reach , ample outside seating for our tribe reunion , nice gardens benches Didn’t really see much of staff but ones we saw were nice. They have food and a shop but didn’t use this time , it was just a meet up and pint chat night Will be back seemed a little clarkson farm shopish but not a bad thing if doing local grub a beer Nice place
Great rooms — clean, fresh and spacious. Bathroom was great, with very nice shower. Breakfast was good. They were full for dinner, so can’t say anything about the dinner menu. There’s also a nice farmer’s shop nearby. Definitely will stay here next year!
Very lovely place we found whilst doing a roadtrip. Roast was really good, we had the pork option and it was lovely. Staff were nice and accommodating, place was nice and cosy. Car park was a bit tight and busy at the time, but street parking is easy. Highly recommended for a good Sunday roast.
Stopped over for breakfast before our walk. Amazing breakfast. Mine was spicy beef pulled rib, on a large muffin.. coffee was very good as well.

A most incredible and beautiful church. Truly impressive.
What a beautifully restored building. It’s a shame nothing is left of the Saxon structure but the priory has some nice 14th and 17th century tombs and lovely internal architecture. Well worth a visit.
I attended the Edington music festival for the first time this year and it was a joy. A beautiful church in a beautiful part of England.
Brilliant afternoon listening to Bratton Silver Band
Beautiful place with lots of history
Interesting place with a music festival in August
Great place and nice experience.
Beautiful priory church with an amazing history, set in lovely countryside on the edge of Salisbury Plain. We visited for the music festival, which was outstanding. Hopefully back again next year.

Great 21st birthday, excellent DJ organised, perfect place for a special function, bonus having a pool table, darts & seating & being able to purchase food & if course the bar for drinks. So easy not to have to worry about cattery for people or sorting drinks, it's available for people if they wish too! Manger polite, professional, well organised, so helpful. I highly recommend player's Club Westbury to hire out. Thank you to you all again, daughter loved it & so did everyone who came, you nailed it!!
Visited for a Sunday roast, on entering was greeted by a clean but somewhat dated room, with a small bar and a serving area for a carvery. The room was busy but my party managed to find a table, after buying drinks we decided to eat, there was a choice of three meats and a wide choice of veg. After returning to our table and starting our meals everyone agreed that their meals were excellent and were all thoroughly enjoyed. Judging by how busy it was, everybody else enjoyed theirs. Can recommend eating here.
Not going to lie. It was a pleasant game of snooker for my son and his grandad but the place is dingy and dirty. Reminded me of snooker clubs in the 70s and 80s - thought they had all closed down!
Great bar staff! The location Is great for a pint at a lunch break or after work. Drinks are a decent price and plenty of places to sit, little dinghy but feels like a proper bar feeling.
Great family club. We had a great night gathering for drinks for my grandsons 18th Birthday. People could choose to play pool or snooker as well. Brilliant thank you. 😊
Absolutely love the Sunday carvery here! the décor is the only thing that lets the place down, spend some money and do the place up hasn't been done since the 90's by the looks of things! if you can look past this the food and staff are brilliant!
Great pub with snooker, pool and other pub games, good food and good for all the family.
Nice pool tables, decent range of beers, ciders at good prices. Carvers and cooked dinners looked pretty good and under a fiver for lasagne garlic bread and salad can't go wrong.

Transit station

After a fraught taxi journey from Weymouth after our 7.33am train to Bath Spa was cancelled, we arrived at Westbury around 10.45 am and met a fantastic guy who was providing customer service for the station. I don't recall his name, it may have begun with J. He gave us so much help, info and reassurance. Wish I could stand him a huge thank you.
I stopped at Westbury for 45minutes and had my lunch. I am so impressed by the service, the 5* quality of the food and care taken at every stage. I am in a wheelchair and the assistance excelled in every way. If I could I would vote this station as the BEST
Got the train from Paddington Station stopped at WestburyThe staff are very helpful and the station is very clean.. 5 minutes away is the Railway inn pub serving great food all day with great offers also has screens of train times so you can catch your connection without worrying if your going to miss. Grateful place to eat food is 5 star.
Very nice station with plenty of amenities. You can find a car park(not free),customer toilets, coffee shop, vending machines stacked with snacks and drinks, customer help point, customer waiting areas with small library of books, outdoor customer seats, customer cycle racks, customer lifts and customer telephone boxes.
We've really tried to make the most of this train station route, going direct to London. But after 3 failed and 2 very delayed journeys, it seems that more trains are cancelled or heavily delayed than not. The trains are not regular, meaning if yours is cancelled, you have a long wait before the next one comes in!
Nice small town station. There was cleanliness everywhere. All I didn’t like they installed rubbish bins just next to benches where people need to sit. That’s not a good hygiene. Except that I got it good
Worst station you can experience in the West Country, if experience is a guide. Rude, unhelpful staff and trains always late!
Nice railway station. Between 2 and 3 platforms located cafe and small waiting area

This was a lovely oasis of birdsong. Conveniently placed benches to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. Lots of gentle paths, some a bit muddy, that wound around the area. Lots of great habitat for birds and other animals. A haze of bluebells, and flutter of butterflies. It was lovely.
Beautiful walk and the bluebells were just gorgeous. Just what we needed to re-set mind space, feed the soul and senses 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
On parking in the Car park, the first impression was the overwhelming smell of Urine 🧐 of course dogs jump out and have a wee, but jeez this was Pungent 🥴. Carpark is fine otherwise, and the walk was fine, as a stop off heading South
Really nice place to go for a walk, the moderate path can be very muddy if it's rained recently! But the easy walk isn't too bad & you can do it twice if you want to walk so more! Only downside is the parking is very small! And there is no one where really else close by to park! Apart from that really nice!
An excellent place to take your dog, especially if the dog is good off lead. Mine had a fabulous time rooting through the undergrowth. There is a hard surfaced path so you don't need wellies and other tracks that you can wander around more within the woods.
Beautiful walk! I try to go every year while the bluebells are out.
Lovely little nature reserve! It can be quite muddy/boggy in places due to the beautifully tall pine trees blocking out a lot of natural sunlight on the ground. Neverless, kids and your dogs will love it!
Nice woods and a good sized walk, very popular with dog-walkers. Small car park can get busy and there are no overflow options when full. No amenities (eg toilets/picnic tables/coffee shops) - that may be a plus or minus depending on your point of view! A locals spot rather than a tourist attraction I'd say.

The best card shop around, really. I went to a chain card shop in warminster first. I cannot exaggerate enough just how much more choice there was in this card shop in Westbury. I thoroughly recommend going here, they are a local business worth supporting. The staff are wonderfully kind, helpful, and sensitive where necessary. Please support this business
Large selection of gifts and cards for all occasions. Good prices and helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of car parking in the high street car park. 1st hour parking is free, you still need to get a free parking ticket
Staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and help you with what ever you need, been using this shop for as long as I can remember. Highly recommend 😊👌
Fantastic local shop. An asset to Westbury. Went above and beyond for my mug printing requirements. Some great cards in stock for all needs. Support local
Fantastic shop, with lots to find for my loved ones. And staff were excellent too, couldn't have been nicer.
Excellent shop and buying from the website was really easy and quick (ordered on Tuesday and cards arrived by Thursday).
Love cards plus beautiful cards lovely staff you will always find what you need in cards plus stage go extra mile
A treasure trove. Love this shop. Staff are awesome they bend over backwards to find your every desire.
