Way better than we expected. Initially it was not on our visiting list for Baia Mare and we decided ad-hoc to visit it. We only regret we didn't allocated more time here. Kids were really impressed and we could not believe some of the "stones" are naturally formed on this planet.

One word, awesome! Such a great place to visit and see some incredible crystals formed millions of years ago. Pictures don't do them justice, you really need to go and see them up close and see all the details! You can also understand a bit about the minerals that can be found in the region. For staff and keepers, you might consider adding more specimens that can be bought, because the few that you have are not enough. Also, you might consider adding a section about how they are mined and processed, since so many people worked very hard in order for visitors to see these wonderful things!

They are so helpful, I had a problem with a make up for a wedding party and they made it for me for free with a high quality cosmetics. Just like a regular mall, but without the experience on having a parking space for people with disabilities, the information bureau didn't do anything about tall 30 to 40 cars placed on them, local police doesn't care (I guess?). The planetarium is really nice. You can learn about the solar system and have fun with your friends or family members. The guided tour is interactive, you will be asked question too. Can't wait to go there again!

A wonderful journey through the constellations and the night sky. The analogue presentation we attended was full of interactive explanations. One can see if someone loves what they're doing because the amount of information and details given to us was more we had had expected. The prices are also very low in comparison to the services offered to the visitors. The analogue presentation is far better than watching the digital one. Make sure to check the timetable. Worth visiting!

My toddler really liked the 2 indoor swimming pools for kids. Towards the end of the day you can enjoy a nice quiet sunset in the outdoor pool. Some of the water toys for children were missing screws, with possibly questionable safety. Nothing major, but I don’t think they audit and repair these as often as they should as nothing changed over 2 weeks we visited. End of the day the showers had no cold water to mix, meaning you had to choose between burning hot or no shower.. 🙃 it’s in the details where experience can be improved, but would definitely recommend. Solid 3 stars for now.

Great swimming pool on the outskirts of Baia Mare. Good selection of outdoor and (newly done) indoor pools. Can get busy in the weekend during the summer. A bit expensive, but kids have lots of fun. Slides are fun and staff is relaxed. Baby pool is really nice. Water temperature is really good! Can recommend when looking for a fun day with kids.

Dirty chairs, outside main pool water is dirty, the green space is not care for as it should, not enough umbrellas. The water slides are ok. The inside swiming pool it is ok. The changing area it is ok. The view of the surrounding is nice. There is a bar with terrace where are serving food and drinks. Prices are good 30 ron per adult and 15 ron for child - all day during week days and 40 ron/adult in the weekend. Anyway i've been disappointed by the fact that the area is not very good care for and the dirty water from the outside main pool.

Wonderful place with a lot of activities for kids and adults. Multiple saunas, I’ve bath, jacuzzi and a place to settle your hunger. In terms of parking there are 3 car parks so there’s plenty of space for everyone. Take your loved ones, friends or kids and just go have some relaxing fun.

Really nice, interesting old house with fabulous Romanian art from 19th and 20th century. Lot to see. Recommended!

Nice local art museum with good collection

Amazing exhibition with paintings belonging to local artists! The building itself has a unique charm and it also still has stoves from the baroque period in almost every room. I asked the lady from the reception and according to her the building used to be part of the mines bureaus until 1920 when a wealthy lawyer bought the building and tranformed it into his house and brought the 100 years old stoves from abroad most probably from Austria. Totally recomend a visit to this beautiful museum!

Amazing place to visit and discover more information about the history of Baia Mare. It takes about 1 hour to do the whole tour with the main exhibit plus the clock collection that is in another room of the buliding.

I recommend this place for tandem paragliding. The pilot spoke well English, was very friendly and professional. The flight was an awesome experience with stunning views. I felt very safe during the session.
