This trip is PHENOMENAL! I booked a group of six to go out to the Skelligs on a non-landing trip and the weather forecast was looking sketchy for the booked day. The company reached out the day before and offered a trip for that day and we were able to take it. Jay was an amazing guide who had personal history with Skellig Michael and it showed. We were able to see dolphins, seals, gannets, puffins, and get great views of the monastery all while fighting the weather! A must do trip when traveling the ring of Kerry.
What an awesome experience we had with Devane tours on our boat trip. The weather cooperated and we toured around the Skelligs. Bonus wildlife: gannets, seals, and a pod of dolphins. Informative caption talked to us about the history of the breeding gannet and puffin populations as well as the monks on Skellig Michael. It's a great trip!
We had booked in advance for a landing tour of Michael skellig, this was not available due to a judicial court situation. We were offered an alternative tour around the island/s which we were happy to take. This is the third time over 30 years I have tried... the weather was undesirable previously. We were not disappointed at all, maybe my son a bit BUT the tour was stunning, I/we felt like we were in a David Attenborough documentary with extras. Didn't realise there were three stairways to the monastery. The Skipper, 'Jay' was a local whose grandfather had been a lighthouse keeper, knew the island inside and out and went out of his way to show us the wildlife and birdlife on the Cliffs, of which I have never had the privilege to see before. We have done trips off Tasmania, but I think this actually was the icing on the cake. The Cliffs, the birds and yes, we were able to see the monastery from the sea. Highly recommend with, or without the trip to the top. Will definitely do this trip again, take your chance weather permitting...
Had a great tour with on Saturday, very lucky with the weather. Nicky was a great captain, very knowledgeable and good fun. We even got to get up and close to the islands. Would recommend
Do to the weather condition they had to cancel the landing tour. Nevertheless we got the offer to change it to the not landing tour around the Skellig Islands. The tour was amazing and they waves very strong like a small rollercoaster. We saw various birds and some dolphins. They had extra raincoats for everyone.
Amazing trip, Rachel was the best tour guide ever and her boat handling skills at the landing point, on a marginal landing day, were super. Herself and Hugh made a great team and made us feel so welcome. Can't wait to go again.
Fantastic tours, highly recommend! We were lucky enough that the weather improved enough for us to go out and onto Skellig Michael but the tour cancelled be cancelled last minute because of the weather.
We had the best morning . We got so lucky with our weather. Nicky was such a great guide. He was hilarious and so informative. Puffins galore this time of the year. We even got to see a pod of dolphins to top it all off. I would highley recommend this company.

Declan and his pilot are lovely people. They sure know their stuff! The pilot’s skill and Declan’s guidance made the experience a memorable one. The only thing I would say is that if you get even remotely seasick, you may want to reconsider this one. The day I went was “calm,” and the boat rocked substantially on probably 3ft swells. Make sure you bring your sea legs! It’s worth it!
Absolutely fantastic tour that you must do if you swing by Skellig. The islands are just breathtaking, even from afar. And the boat driver was really nice. Be wary : even on a calm day, you might feel sick because of the motion while heading to the island.
Brendan and John Casey were outstanding tour operators. We booked 6 months in advance and were fortunate to have good weather for our trip. (If the weather forced cancellation of the trip we were assured a full refund, or at our choice we could possibly convert to a trip around the islands with no landing at all reduced price; this would be a good fallback option.) The island is a magnificent, unforgettable hike. Be sure to wear proper footwear and clothing, including a rain jacket and hat that won’t blow off, and take water and snacks as there is none on the island. (There is a pit toilet.) If you have vertigo, fear of heights/exposure, or reduced mobility you may choose not to hike the full 600 exposed, ancient steps to the top, but if you’re careful and take your time most people can do it. This was an absolute highlight of our Ireland trip.
I couldn't recommend this tour enough! We were meant to do the Landing tour, however due to an ongoing legal case not related to the company, the tour had to be switched to the Eco boat tour. Nonetheless we all enjoyed the tour. There is free parking at the port near the tour meeting point, which was easy to find. The boat felt spacious since they only took on 12 passengers per boat. It left on time and took just over 2 hours for the whole journey. The staff are knowledgeable and shared plenty of interesting information about the islands. We even were lucky enough to spot dolphins, which came up close to the boat!
These guys are fantastic! Our shippers were very relaxed and enthusiastic. We had the luck of a mirror sea so they could drive us in places you can usually not come due to the weather, very nice!
Y sister and I did the eco tour yesterday, unfortunately unable to land due to licensing issues! What an experience!! Obviously the Skelligs are magnificent, as is the 70,000 string population of gannets on the Skelligs beag. I had a touch of seasickness but John, the skipper and Phillip, the guide were on hand. Two lovely guys. Would highly recommend
Wonderful trip. Our skipper and young guide were very good. Full of information about the islands and sealife. Loads of birds. Puffins, gannets, a few seals. Had a spot of sea sickness but we were taken good care of. They kept checking in to make sure we were fine. Very attentive. (Apologies I've forgotten your names).Even put up a shelter from the sea spray on the way back. Would recommend highly.
The landing tour on Skellig Michael was just wonderful. The island itself is incredible. The boat picked us up from the pier, the guides were safe, knowledgeable and fun. They offered wet weather trousers and coats to protect from sea spray. After visiting Great Skellig we cruised around to see the lighthouse and seals, then headed to Little Skellig and the gannets. We all took a turn to drive the boat on the way back! I can't recommend this company highly enough if you are thinking of visiting the Skelligs. Thank you!

We went on a weekday towards the end of the day you do have to pay for parking, but the experience is free. When I say these views are breathtaking it’s an understatement. I can stand up here for hours. It truly is amazing. I would recommend going to all of the viewpoints, they all provide different angles and take your time.
Located and owned by a private party, this is a must do! Only 5 euros per person, the views are very beautiful and well worth it. In my opinion, its better than Cliffs of Moher. There are also a few farm animals here and plenty of parking. Highly recommended!
The views were amazing! It was very windy but somehow it was even more impressive because of that. 5€ for the entry is fine as parking and toilets are free. From the parking lot it’s a short walk and you’ve got three bigger view points. On short way to the cliffs we met donkeys, cows and alpacas. We loved it!
Super underrated! Entrance fee is €5 per person, and they close at 4:30pm. Do allow more time for this place as it was such a good walk, the views are superb, and you will need the time to enjoy the views. It’s probably a good but easy 10mins walk to each of the lookout points, and they are all built and safe. While the tours to Skellig Michael tours are not operating, this is the place to see them from a distance.
Yes it adds a bit of driving time to the ring of Kerry, but it’s the crown jewel of the experience. Do not skip this! It does cost to walk to the cliffs, so watch your timing. The last entry was 3:30 pm on a Tuesday in November. It was beautiful. 5 euros is reasonable to maintain this site and for the nice restrooms. Do not skip! You can see puffin island as well.
The whole place is set up with a gate, parking lot, and toilets, with €5 entry. It’s well managed, and the trail up to and along the cliffs are well maintained. Provides some very spectacular views. We couldn’t see Skellig when we were there because it was too foggy, but the highest viewpoint was up in the clouds, and you could really see the power of the water as it sloshed around at the bottom of the cliffs
Kerry cliffs are amazing - There is paid parking to access, a nicely maintained path to walk up towards them and along them. Clean bathrooms. They are wild and magnificent - prefer over the "more popular" cliffs of Moher more north. You must make the detour on the Ring of Kerry drive to see these cliffs!
We visited the Kerry Cliffs this past week and it was amazing! Very windy so the left cliff was closed. The view from the right was amazing, beautiful, awe inspiring. The wind was intense. I had to brace myself to not get blown sideways. This experience feels very close to nature and wild. There are restrooms and snacks near the bottom, near the parking lot. This is a little off the beaten path but a must see!

Great experience. I would highly recommend a visit onto the island if you are physically able as it is an exerting climb but if you take your time anyone can do it. The scenery was beautiful and the tour guide was very interesting.10/10
Adventurous boat 🚢 ride ,from Portmagee ,historic ancient rocky islet islands, little Skellingthorpe home to rare species to gannet birds, the bigger island has the monastery in Atlantic ocean
I met up with my ex wife while searching for our adopted daughter it was generally a pretty nice trip Apart from Sierens. I recommend old port tavern and Kaer Trolde
Had a fist fight with a troll here. It was a tough fight but i cane out on top in the end
Beautiful view, great day with family (2 teenagers and a husband). Not for the faint of hearts. You need to be fit (not running 10km every morning fir) but at least once a day for a long walk. Don't underestimate the heights. Will recommend.
The experience was excellent. I had a really good time. This was an experience absolutely worth doing. The island is really beautiful and the views are amazing. Four items to know before you go. 1). Take something if you get even the slightest bit motion sick because the ride over is across the open ocean and it can be really choppy. 2). There is a bathroom on the island. 3). The climb to the top is strenuous. It isn't long but it is very tiring. 4). Bring a water bottle and food to have something to eat and drink at the top.
Ive been to skelligs a few years ago .I went from portmagee the boat trip was grand for about a mile out and then it got rough .it was grand coming back. Skelligs is a spectacular place Its a good climb to the top but well worth it id advise caution when climbing the steps and coming down the bee hive huts made of stone are stunning. Id recommend You put it on your bucket list.
Fupping not a place I'd go to party or go hide from the other Jedi. But yes, if I was a miserable wee monk who liked beating himself up and denying himself the joys of the world and was trying to find a place where the Vikings might not find me, then this would be the place!

Skellig Walker cruises was the best Skellig boat experience anyone could ask for. Not only is he boat brand new and the crew, Cav and Dara, were kind, nice, considerate. They even brought ginger on board for people if they are queasy from the waves. Truly the best. This absolutely without reservation is the company to sail with on your way to the skelligs. Cannot say enough wonderful things. (boat was specifically made to be versatile for the landing on Skellig Michael and there is not just indoor seating enough for all aboard but also outdoor seating and a bathroom - they really thought of everything)
Great Skippers! No need for ponchos on the way out with their indoor seating. Outdoor seating for the calmer ride back to the mainland. Easy to use booking system. Great communication and customer service. They offer two tours one where you go on the island and one where you ride around. We used both services and were very pleased with the experience.
Giving these guys 5stars. Boat was modern clean and fast and the most comfortable boat there in my opinion you could sit inside or out in comfort. Crew were very attentive and funny and very knowledgeable about the area as well as both skellig islands. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and highly recommended the boat and crew. Will definitely look for these guys again .
Skellig Walker is the best boat to and from Skellig in the whole fleet. They are the only boat with a roof where you don't get drenched if the waves are big. The Captain and crew are excellent. Did I mention that this is also the fastest boat to Skellig? I almost didn't want to review they are so good.
On the day we were there we had the fastest boat (w/head) meaning much more (enjoyable) time on the island. The guides and captain were warm and helped with a nervous climber. Islands are one of the world’s all time best sites, even without the Star Wars tie-in
Great experience! Boat with airplane seats were comfortable when we rode inside and driver took pictures and gave wonderful information about wildlife, monks, and Star Wars. Looked to be the most comfortable boat at the dock.
Amazing!!! Loved Captain Cav and his assistant. We had an amazing time, they took great care of us. Couldn’t have asked for a better day. Well worth ever penny. I would love to come back and do it again!
Truly an outstanding experience. Very accommodation and fearless in the face of that crazy Irish weather. The best boat in the business for the job.

Lovely shop. My husband and I stopped here and they have amazing art and lots of interesting gifts and crafts to buy.
After a while, the souvenir shops in Ireland tend to blend into one another because they all seem to stock the same things. Enter Cois Cuain - small but mighty! Tasteful gifts, some handmade, a lot of it local to the area. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I bought a beautiful bracelet there after searching for something similar for days in different shops. It's worth a visit!
Great weekend away..shop and Web site excellent...delivery all over Ireland...we stayed at the Moorings next door.. our room was above the shop .

Definitely recommend! We had fantastic weather, hiked up to the monastery, and saw tons of puffins! It’s very steep and you must be ready for that- wear layers and good hiking shoes. Our captain and his daughter were great hosts. You may think it’s booked (as we originally thought) but try Skellig Michael Landing - they had openings and were great!
We had a great experience. I would advise anybody who wants to do the landing tour to book a couple of weeks in advance. We were fortunate to catch really good weather so the tour went ahead as scheduled. There were a lot of unique and interesting things to see along the way and on the island like gannets, puffins and the infamous huts. On the island the OPW workers will tell you about the island's history and wildlife. Cornelia and Nealie went out of their way to take good care of all onboard.
Had originally booked the Landing Tour, but it had to be changed to a “view from the water” tour. It was still worth it and the views of both islands were fantastic! Highly recommended! The captain was very nice and knowledgable… and since we used to be a stone mason on the island, he could give some insights on his time there. I will definitely come back - hopefully, I can do the landing tour then :)
This was the most beautiful trip of our lives, and we’d love to say a huge thank you! 😊 Our experienced captain navigated the rough sea with ease and took us safely to the stunning Skelligs. The entire experience was magical - from the breathtaking scenery to the sense of adventure on the open water. We’ll be recommending Skellig Michael Voyage to anyone planning a trip to Ireland. It was truly unforgettable! 🌊⛰️ Thank you once again! 🙏😊
Super experience. Very good boat company with father and daughter team. Great information about points of interest encountered to the island. Nealie toured the island before we disembarked which was a great idea as we got true sense of the island size and noted main features, most importantly edges not to go near! They brought us to little skellig too, taking a slow route around it so we could see the gannets. Highly recommended.
We drove all the way down to Kerry after flying to Ireland to go on the landing tour. We booked months in advance with our tour and accommodations and were greatly looking forward to seeing puffins. The tour got cancelled the night before due to an ongoing court battle - if we would've known ahead of time at all we could've changed plans to go elsewhere in the country. They gave us a refund but we still lost valuable time on bookings and plans.
Had an amazing trip today with Skellig Michael Voyage. Great family run business. Thanks to Nealie’s son Dom, our skipper and his daughter Cornelia, our deck lady for taking such good care of us during the trip. Explaining everything to us when we are at Skellig Michael and making sure we are all good on the boat. I would highly recommend booking a tour with them. Thanks again!
Such a wonderful experience taking the landing tour with this company. Nealie and his daughter were excellent tour guides and take great pride in what they do. Not once did I feel unsafe making the journey to Skellig Michael. another person traveling to the island got sick on the tour and Cornealia went out of her way to make sure they were comfortable throughout the tour (as well as the others on board). They both were also very knowledgeable and made multiple stops throughout the trip to share their knowledge of other islands as we passed them, as well as allowed time for photo ops. Would highly recommend booking with this company. Thanks for the memories that will last a lifetime.
