We stopped here for a drink when driving past without any idea what we were expecting. It's a beautiful old square, lovely restaurants and the buildings are so historic. Well worth a visit.
Tipical old fashioned Spanish small city from the central region of the country with a certain charisma. The historical sites and a few shops and pubs offer you the opportunity to spend 3 -4 pleasant ours there.
This is a lovely small village, rather far away from the beaten tracks and mass tourism at 1.5 - 2 hours driving from Madrid. The place invites for a walk and have a drink and/or some food.
Great Medieval Town. We also went when the Medieval Fair was running. Amazing experience!
Very nice place, it really looks like a typical Spanish old town.

(Translated by Google) After visiting Ayllón, it is well deserved that it is one of the most beautiful towns in Spain... It has a special charm, it is worth visiting, along with it the church of San Miguel, which we found spectacular. One of the few places where we have been allowed to enter with our pet, a 10-year-old Labrador dog. Many thanks to the girl there for her kindness. And congratulations on the beautiful town you have and so well cared for.

It is a late Romanesque temple, already transitioning towards Gothic. With a semicircular or cylindrical apse and a robust belfry, its façade, half-hidden by the balcony of the atrium, all built in the 16th century, shows the serene beauty of its Byzantine rose windows. The purpose of the aforementioned balcony was none other than to serve the members of the ecclesiastical chapter as an exceptional viewpoint from which to attend the bullfighting celebrations, which at that time were held in the square. Currently, there is an exceptional alabaster tomb in San Miguel that served as a burial site for María Álvarez de Vallejo and her husband, Pedro Gutiérrez, secretary and treasurer of Don Diego I López Pacheco and his second wife, Doña Juana Enríquez, marquises from Villena. The original location of the tomb was another Romanesque church in the town, that of San Juan, where the treasurer and his wife paid for the construction of a monumental Gothic chapel - that of San Sebastián - to house it. However, at the end of the sixties of the last 20th century, the church of San Juan passed into private hands and both the tomb and the chapel grille came to San Miguel. Today the church of San Miguel houses the Tourist Office and exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events are programmed there. We went on Tuesday, December 5 and it was closed. Incredible. That's why our low rating.

Very typical and nice place for tapas. Either outside or inside; in a table or stand up. It is possible to ask for gluten free tapas such as calamares or even croquetas. The cost is ok for a tourist place. Besides, it seems to be great in summer because it is in front of the river.
Just had coffee €1.50 a nice local bar. Friendly staff.

Really nice and helpful staff, at least one of the Ladies. Giving the map full of information and advising local food to taste. I really recommend to visit this place before sighseeing the old city. There is also wooden 3D design of the city to see it from other perspective.
Very friendly service. Since there was not enough people for the tour of the aqueduct, we got recommended the longer tour through the whole city which included the tickets for two entrances and was very informative. The tour guide was lovely and everyone really enjoyed the tour.
Marta from Tourist Information helped us to change our train schedule, she called, spent so much time, and all the time with so much patience and so friendly and alwas with her lovely smile. Thank you soo much. Siavash visitor of Segovia from Germany
