Very interesting tank to see. It is a Tiger I tank that according to the sign broke down and then suffered an internal explosion. It was originally outside of town but has been moved here and put on display. It has great and easy parking and while the tank is fenced off you are still pretty close to it.
I've taken visitors there many times. They are always impressed so I guess it must be a good local attraction.
The Tiger tank, officially known as the Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E, was a formidable German heavy tank which played a significant role in the armored battles of World War II. The Tiger tank was highly effective in combat, thanks to its combination of firepower, protection, and mobility. It could engage enemy tanks at long ranges with its main gun and withstand hits from most Allied anti-tank weapons. Despite its strengths, the Tiger tank had several weaknesses, including mechanical reliability issues, high fuel consumption, and difficulties with transportation due to its weight and size. Its complex design also made maintenance and repair challenging, especially under battlefield conditions. The one on display here suffered a similar fate and per the signage, likely ran out of gas and was made inoperable by its crew. There is an area to pull off the road to park. There is also signage to explain the history of the tank. Stopped on our way from Paris to Normandy - worth the additional time to stop and see despite the rain.
Wow a Tiger by the road.. Easy to reach and good aire to rest in in.. Not everyday yo see one of these... More Tiger in your tank🐯
Pretty cool to see a Tiger 1 up close, plenty of parking, and it's free so worth half hour of your time.
If you want to a German Tiger Tank, it's parked on the side of the road, with plenty of car parking.
This Tiger tank was captured and left to remain at its current location since WWII. It is worn out but not rusty and it may worth a stop-by if you are not visiting any war museum that has one in it. We went from Normandy to Val de Loire and passed by here
Great to see a Tiger out in the wild. The beast is in a sorry state, but it's very accessible and plenty of free parking.

Perfect little place for the kids and staff were just lovely. Enough information to learn (in little recordings in English using QR code) and the tasting was perfect for us. Definitely worth a visit for a manageable indoor activity
A fantastic museum to visit. Very friendly locals covering the history and process of Camembert. We had an English movie, audio tour of the museum and tasting with cider. It was all excellent. I would highly recommend coming to visit. They are open all day when we visited.
Lovely museum run by volunteers and one staff member. Interesting video about the early production of Camembert cheese which held the children's attention. Then able to walk around artefacts used in cheese production. Again the young children loved it. Just a small museum but definitely worth a visit.
Lovely place. Staff that run the museum were so nice and really made the visit great. Learnt a lot about how Camembert was made.
A great learning experience and they also cater for English speakers.
A small museum dedicated to authentic Camembert. We enjoyed the tasting plate too. We learnt a lot.
Lovely small museum. Polite and helpful staff. The information DVD could be played in English which our children of 8 years old enjoyed. The tasting plates are well worth the €1 or €2 price. The cidre, or apple juice provided with the selection of Camembert was good. The museum it's self was easy to navigate and had interesting contents. Thank you for a good experience.
A very enjoyable museum experience, albeit rather small. The introductory film was informative and the cheese making paraphernalia well displayed and all info in English and French. The shop was well stocked with some excellent cheeses, cider and apple juice, well worth a visit.

Beautiful church in Neo-Gothic style that miraculously survived the bombing of World War II. The first stone was laid in 1888. None of the stained glass is original, but it is very beautiful and detailed. Behind the church is a playground. In front of the church is the Vimoutiers market square, with some shops, restaurants, and cafés. Parking is available in the square in front of the church.
Built in 1896 inspired by gothic style. The church looks rather modern but the colourful windows create a nice atmosphere.
(Translated by Google) Church built at the end of the 19th century in neo-Gothic style. Miraculously spared during the American bombings of June 14, 1944, with the exception of its stained glass windows which were pulverized, it houses an organ classified as a historic monument created by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, one of the greatest organ builders of the 19th century to whom we owe also the organ of Notre-Dame de Paris. The identically reconstructed stained glass windows (financed thanks to Margaret Mitchell) tell the history of Normandy. To visit. A visiter.
(Translated by Google) Finally an open church!! On the afternoon of an Easter Sunday, thank you for that. Beautiful facade, Gothic period interior, however I am less of a fan of the recent but quite bright stained glass windows. (Original) Enfin une église ouverte !! L apres-midi d'un dimanche de Pâques merci à vous pour cela. Belle façade, intérieur époque gothique en revanche suis moins fan des vitraux récents mais assez lumineux.
(Translated by Google) Well worth a visit. It is incomprehensible that nothing can be found in the church about the glazier who created the beautiful windows. (Original) Zeer de moeite van het bezoeken waard. Onbegrijpelijk dat er in de kerk niets te vinden is over de glazenier van de prachtige ramen.
