Great day out in beautiful dog friendly stately home grounds (terraces excluded). Lots of walking routes to follow. Abundance of flora to soak up in the gardens. House is also full of history and fantastic “tour guide” volunteers. Also worth noting that national trust members have free entry, and affiliates (Scotland) also, Highly recommended
We visited for free on a Heritage Weekend, along with hundreds of others, but the staff were welcoming and coped well. We had lunches in the Dairy Cafe -all good. The gardens and setting are wonderful. The house us very interesting. The highlight is the Rex Whistler mural, which we were able to appreciate because a volunteer guide showed us many of the details personal to the family and special effects.
A fantastic day out! Beautiful house and well kept grounds with a great disc golf course. The café was okay, but the real highlight was the stunning view across the Menai Strait to the mountains of Eryri and Rex Whistler's mural inside the home.
Amazing house and history of the family. The gardens are formal but it does create a nice fairly flat walk with the added bonus of potentially seeing red squirrels. The mural in the dining room is particularly impressive. A must visit for any history buff who is interested in the Napoleonic Wars.
Had a fantastic experience here. Both Tracey and Keith were very, very knowledgeable. The views out are amazing. With the beautiful house set in a tranquil environment. Plenty to see and do.
The place was easy to find and parking the car was easy, the walk to the house is quite long, but they do have a shuttle buggy for those who have difficulty walking distances, the house whilst plain and grey outside it holds many treasures insides well worth a visit. We went on a Monday thinking it wouldn't be busy, but it was very busy and popular.
The house and grounds are nicely situated overlooking the strip of sea between Anglesey and Wales (which looks like a large river). There is a medium-sized walk around the gardens, with woodland paths, cut lawns, walled path overlooking the sea, play areas and the terraced garden, although the whole lot can be walked around in 30-45 minutes so not the biggest walks. Most areas outside are dog-friendly, except for the terraced gardens (because of the flower beds I guess, which are well-tendered and definitely worth a walk around with camera in hand). The house itself, although seeming quite large, can probably be walked around in as little as 15 minutes if you are not reading all the information or looking at everything. The cafe does seem to struggle when it's busy, it took over 20 minutes queueing at 1pm, although the food was fine (usual offerings of savoury items at National Trust properties, and nice cakes too).
Strong Austere and imposing house built on the edge of the Menai. Lovely gardens and walks and a house full of rich history. The house is fairly sparsely decorated but the team do their best to bring it to life with booklets in every room. Interesting military history especially for fans of the Napoleonic Wars.

Iconic and historical Railway Station that is an absolute must for a photo opportunity! The station itself lacks facilities and the inside is closed, but it's very conveniently placed right in the village center next to the main street and James Pringle Weavers.
The famous Llanfair-PG (couldn't be bothered to type out the whole thing) train station. A simple little station which had decent parking. The shopping centre nearby was very large and eclectic in the range of products though we thought most items were too expensive.
A lovely small clean Railway Station with the longest name I suspect in the World and unless you are able to speak Welsh it is totally unpronounceable. There are regular Trains to South Wales & Holyhead and the views are gorgeous. A lovely part of the UK.
I visited this neat, little station on my trip to North Wales. The parking is good, there were a few spots open. My 10 year old was the only one begging for it but we ended up taking the train to Holyhead. The nearby shop is also quite good, my son got a few souvenirs, some items are expensive and even my son said that his souvenirs were.
Visited on Saturday, 06th September 2025. Located in the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is a fake name really created for the purpose of being an attraction. Not a criticism, but good to know either way. Located near the access bridges to Anglesey, you're only going to stop off if in the area. The station sign you want a picture of is located in 3 locations, so you can get a shot on the platform or in the car park. Once you get your photo, there is a nearby shop for souvenirs as well as another representation of the sign and an English translation of the gobbledegook that makes up the name in Welsh. 10-15 mins stop.
The name alone draws visitor ,a huge gift shop has been built, including easy access toilets, ans a cafe the entrance has a large sign with its translation,,the focal point of many photos
What a lovely day out .Europe's longest place name
Quaint train station with the longest name in Europe. The mall next to it had friendly staff who taught us how to say it. I'm amazed they can remember because it's so long! Had fun shopping. There's also a cafe. One stop shop. There's also a Co-op next door with the full name on. Thank you 😊

Fantastic climbing gym. Great route setting, grades from 3+ - 8c (v0 - V11). The space is big and open lots of wall. Mostly bouldering with a lead climbing wall and a couple auto-belays. They have free weights, weight belts, campus boards to train. It gets busy on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The car park is small and awkward. Great gym
great vibes , friendly staff and great routes! The setters clearly put a lot of work into making the routes interesting and fun at every grade. The routes are varied in style leaning towards the outdoorsy with subtle movement and well thought out beta. Add to this good snacks and good coffee with a well stocked shop and what more could you wish for.
First time to an indoor climbing wall. I was pleasantly suprised and happy to such a well kept venue. There are tables available to sit at and also there is a shop on site. Where you can purchase climbing gear / equipment. In addition to that, you can also purchase snacks too. Decent venue for those that love to climb as the challenges are plentiful.
First time at the wall yesterday. Entered the bouldering competition and was impressed by the setting and the venue. Really enjoyable comp and friendly and helpful staff. There were 36 problems, I did ok despite being a sport climber who never boulders 🤣
My daughter has started having lessons here once a week. Place is clean and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There is a shop on site for all your climbing essentials and I'm sure they do have a few drinks and coffee available. Not much else to say. Car park is quite small though only downside.
I really like the style of routes here, + they have a decent amount of bouldering routes for beginners I've also used the 2 autobelay routes + thought they were very good for a beginner too. Nice mix of difficulty The staff are all super friendly + helpful, and help create a nice chill atmosphere Staff seem to reset routes regularly, so there's often something new to try Brilliant place (:
Very friendly 2 adults and 2 children 11 & 9 we had the instructor Ryan, great knowledge good equipment kids were very happy and adults aswell. Thank you Ryan 😊
The children had a great time during the kids session. The instructor Will made them feel welcome and installed them with confidence.

Over the last 2 days I had the opportunity to join Rich when he came up to work with Cullercoats Bike and Kayak to provide the assessment and accreditation course for the British Canoeing 3* Sea Sit-on Kayak Course. The venue was the North Sea around Whitley Bay and Cullercoats, I learnt so many good things over the last 2 days and also got rid of a few bad habits i have picked up over my years of paddling, was also great to put some names and tweak the skills on techniques i had taught myself over the years. Thankfully I passed the course and I am now British Canoeing Certified 3 Star for Sea Sit-on kayaks in the sea, very happy about that and i feel much more confident in that environment as a result, i've many years of paddling experience but it is mostly freshwater and i have been keen to expand my hobby to the ocean safely and competently, this is a nice step forward in that direction. Looking forward to joining Rich down in Anglesey, Wales in the near future to advance my paddle skills and sea competence even further. Thanks everyone who was involved in this, it was brilliant.

If only more shops supported local businesses as this one does, the world would be a happier place! Fantastic owner with a very good eye that has ensured the well store is well stocked with carefully chosen items.
Excellent little shop. Perfect gifts handcrafted by local artisans. It's definitely worth a visit if you're on Anglesey.

What a wonderful gallery space. I visited for the first time this weekend and was given such a warm welcome. I bought some lovely greetings cards and left feeling very inspired. My sister had a large scale painting framed and Bethan was really helpful in choosing the frame. It exceeded all expectations.
I couldn’t be happier with the service at Ger Y Fenai. They did a fantastic job framing my football shirt. It looks absolutely top-notch. Friendly, professional, and clearly take great pride in their work. Highly recommend!
Such an amazing place well worth a visit , a real gem on such a beautiful island. Took a picture in for a new more updated frame and was delighted with the result . Take a look around an incredible array of fine art including prints and many showcasing local artists, from pictures of local areas, to stunning scenes around Snowdonia and so very much more , definitely something for every taste and price. So nice to see a small local business which puts customer service and satisfaction first . Parking no problem across the road too , you may even be greeted by two beautiful gallery cats , a very warm charming and friendly place, see for yourself.
I will start by saying Bethan and the team at the gallery are brilliant! Not only have I been impressed and very satisfied by the standard of the framing I have had done but the level of professionalism and helpful guidance really did make me feel at ease that my paintings would be left in good hands. The friendly nature/feel really shines through.
Beautiful art gallery in the heart of Llanfair PG, Great service, outstanding choice of art work , relaxed atmosphere , really pleased with my purchase. Also offers a top quality framing service , highly recommended visiting Oriel Ger y Fenai. 10/10, I will be visiting again
Great service and quality framing. The owner was really welcoming and was happy to give advice. Good place for local art, would recommend for anyone to visit. Such a lovely little gallery.
Amazing gallery and amazing customer service every time! Wouldn’t go anywhere else for framing big or small! Also a great selection of different artists and styles! Not a place to miss!
Some lovely paintings and a much larger gallery than it looks. Good range of subjects and prices. Definitely worth a visit 😃
