Well run, immaculately maintained, relevantly curated, and staffed by knowledgeable volunteers. This is a perfect example of what a local industrial history museum should be like. A fascinating place to visit, the entry fee is very reasonable, and it's well worth a special trip.
Very interesting museum and well worth the visit.
Lots to see, a great museum. Totally exceed our expectations.
Run by an extremely knowledgeable and friendly group of volunteers, Radstock Museum is a great example of what a local museum should be like. Children were made to feel welcome and there were little trails for them to complete. We were here around 2 hours as my little one was fascinated with all the pictures, big horse and carriage model and mine which you can walk through. Tickets valid for 1 year and extremely reasonably priced.
A well run museum with interesting exhibits for all ages. Good clean toilets and lovely tea shop. Of real interest to anyone who enjoys learning about the history of coal mining and general industrial archaeology in the Radstock area. Well worth a visit.
Tickets valid for 1 year from date of purchase at a great value of £7 - clean small museum that is well set out and plenty of details for people to look into - open Tuesday to Friday 2 pm to 5 pm Saturday 11 am to 5 pm and Sundays closed Mondays closed but open Bank holiday Mondays 2pm to 5 pm - café open if they have the volunteers - easily accessible by bus from Bristol or Bath with one service being every 1/2 hour and £2 single fares capped until December 2024 Volunteers are friendly
Pleasant, interesting local museum. Records local life and bygones as well as the coalfields. Tableaux of the coal seam, blacksmith forge, shop, parlour, school room etc. Small cafe. Enough to engage adults and kids. No on-site parking, and we found no signage to any parking. Ticket buys admission to the end of the year, not 12 months.
Such a great place to visit with children. The volunteers are great with kids and the lady who was working in the coffee shop was so accommodating and chatty. Gift shop has some lovely toys to. I think it's great that there is always something new and to do and take part in during the holidays.

I spent the night here with my van. Had a great few days. There's loads of space, either in a family orientated field, where it's quiet and relaxing. Or in a grouped field, where it's a bit more lively. There's an electric hook up available as well. The people that work there are helpful and friendly, and it's clean with everything you need. Toilets, showers, etc. Place to wash up your plates and a pub. The pub sells decent food at a very good price. There is also live music every weekend in the barn till late. The cider is amazing and strong. A really good stay, we will be returning without a doubt.
First time visitors to Tuckers Grave, we did not leave disappointed. Super chilled site, no long lists of rules, basically "don't be a dick & we'll all be fine" sums it up. Great cider pub, live bands both Saturday & Sunday who were very good. The on site cafe is also super value, the pizzas are pretty large & really tasty, the breakfasts are great & burgers also tasty, the prices are very good too, meaning we didn't feel the need to cook all weekend, we ate at the cafe all weekend. To top it off all of the staff were lovely, super friendly & made you feel really welcome. We will definitely be returning, thanks for a fab weekend.
Busy camp site on Friday / Saturday, but empty on Sunday. Good toilet block, but could have done with a better clean each day. Plenty of space to pitch up, with a relaxed friendly atmosphere. There is separation into family, groups and adult areas that work well. The pub has a great cider selection and the food looked good, I only had some chips. I will be back!
Wow what an amazing set up. Such a warm fun loving family place. Amazing food at the restaurant with the options of homemade lush pasties and other savouries... plus wicked menu that caters for everyone. Lights out at 12 and music stops. Which everybody adheres to. Mine and my girlfriend 1st time. Live music was brilliant along with the cocktail bus. Boom ticks all our boxes. Oh and don't forget every kinda cider you could ever wish for xxxxxx
We had a lovely couple of days stay here. Set up in the Family camp area down the bottom on the level bit. It was a Thursday and Bikers night, which made my 2 yr old grandsons night , plus the food hut was open. We had the burgers , which were very nice and a 3 beers. Friday night , again a busy night with a live band on in the " shed " next to the double decker bus, but due to having young kids with us we had to listen from camp..plenty of ABBA and other classics been belted out. In all, a great place for families, couples , groups and solo folk. Will we go back...defo, as we say in Brum...was Bostin..
Absolute gem of a campground, the hospitality and welcome are outstanding. From the moment you arrive, nothing is too much trouble. As for the facilities, everything is clean, functional, and cared for. There is a good mix of camping spaces, electric, and water available on hardstanding areas. The Washroom is heated, open 24/7, and does not require coins or credits. Weekends are lively, with music events, and the barn becomes a separate entity for dancing and adult beverages. 100% recommended.
Don’t waste your time and money going there. Bathrooms are filthy and they keep the deposit saying we left rubbish behind. They’ve taken pictures hours after we left when other people taken over the area we stayed in. Update after answer from owner: What do you have to say about the family staying next to us keeping us awake all night on Friday?? What do you have to say about the filthy bathrooms? Excuse me but sort of rules were not followed? Some members of the group had music on till 11pm which you couldn’t hear from 5 metres away. We haven’t been banned from other places and we stayed at Tuckers before. MONEY GRABBERS, just accept it. Horrible company. I’m waiting to see what sort of rules were not followed, I think we’re all ears ?!?! I’ll upload the pictures which you say we left the site dirty hence deposit taken. For everyone’s knowledge the first picture shows the quiet zone, second is the family area, third one, who knows. We stayed in the far back. Non of these pictures were taken on the area we stayed in. Your answer shows how much you don’t care about personal opinion as you only copy+paste. This attitude reflects on your business attitude
What a great place to stay. A real little gem. Booked as we wanted to go to Longleat and wanted somewhere you could have a fire. The cider house was also a big pull - and didn't let down!! They had a bikers event on one night, but the set out of the site meant that we couldn't even really hear the event from the camp site. They also have a great little games room with an olde skittles alley - great fun after a couple of ciders!!! Lovely staff, great cider - an unexpected find, would definitely return.

My daughter has been attending gymnastics here for the last couple of months and the coaches are fantastic. They are so enthusiastic and support all abilities of children, not just those who will be competing in competitions. We had previously attended another club and it's refreshing to see coaches here that are passionate about supporting children and having fun! I would highly recommend
We recently had a Duel Party at Writhlington Leisure Centre and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish! Everything was really well organised – the staff clearly knew exactly what they were doing and had the whole event running smoothly. What really stood out was how much pressure it took off us as parents. The team handled all the little details, meaning we could actually relax and enjoy the party too! The staff were friendly, helpful, and completely on top of everything, making it a stress-free and fun experience for everyone. The children had a fantastic time and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, hassle-free party option. Huge thanks to the team at Writhlington – you were fab!
Go Bananas Soft Play. Visited for the first time this week. Great place for soft play, plenty of parking, extensive soft play areas catering for babies to children. Cafe is reasonably priced and has friendly staff. Update, went again recently and still really good. Food on offer is good as are hot and cold drinks.
An excellent climbing wall with a great range of routes - try it, you'll love it! The Auto-belays make it feel very safe to climb and push your limits, and it's a wonderful way to do a whole body workout. Staff are so helpful, attentive and encouraging to new users.
Absolutely love the On Demand classes and all the virtual classes, plenty of choice to suit all abilities and those with busy schedules, from half hour classes to an hour. On demand allows you to choose your class when you arrive depending on what area you would like to focus on. A great atmosphere to workout in small classes or even alone. We are so lucky to have these facilities on our doorstep.
My son went to his ever holiday club today and we were both really anxious, I had my doubts he'd stay...but immediately upon arrival harry greeted us and was amazing with my son, he really welcomed him and knew exactly how to reassure us both he was so lovely. My son absolutely loved his day and will definitely be returning next year 👍🏼
Great place to take the kids or grandkids no matter what the weather, they will love it. It also has a place to eat & drink on site & the price is reasonable.. Go on do it..
This soft play is amazing! Round the corner from my house I go to the gym here and didn’t even realise they had one. I’ve been going here every week with my baby for a few months and it is so big! Lots of sections for different ages my baby loves it. My baby goes free until she is 1 and adults go free which is how it should be! The coffees are amazing and the menu is brilliant with really reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Great venue for today's Royal School of Ballet auditions. Could have made a fortune on coffee sales if the machine was on but found a place over the road.

Great local place for going to comedy evenings etc. They have a bar for refreshments as well. Even a dance studio there.

Great Pub, Great Service - Highly Reccomended :)
This place is a standard run down pub. Only upon finishing my drink I noticed something at the bottom of my glass that really shouldn't have been there - disgusting! I decided not to make a complaint to the manager as he himself supported a large stain from food he had eaten. I spoke to a local and they said he frequently sports a stain of some sort on his clothes. I won't be returning anytime soon 🤢
i came here with my friend Mophead04G, it was very cool however, i didn't get top link in the description of his vlog, that makes me sad.. im very lonely now, ever since tay k got taken away from me. i miss her so much
A local pub with a friendly landlord. Used to be a bit run down but is now in the process of being redecorated. A definite asset for the local community. Interesting example of a very old public house.
Great local pub in the heart of the old mining community near the former Tyning colliery. Great landlord and staff. Huge beer garden.
Not bad, infact good

Did one of their experience days with my Dad this weekend. Fantastic day. Learned a lot and enjoyed being able to hold the birds. Highly recommend a visit! I think we’ll go back to see the other animals at the centre on one of their open days if possible. A slight heads up, one of the flights of the birds involved having an owl fly to you and being able to hand feed it some raw chicken. The chap did ask if anyone wasn’t comfortable with touching the raw chicken piece. Normally I wouldn’t be comfortable without immediately washing my hands (which would have been impractical) but this was not my first bird of prey experience so I was prepared with sanitising hand wipes. But it was good of them to check everyone was okay with it. Just something to consider if you’re going to do an experience and are a bit icked out by that part.
Had an AMAZING time here, went for my best friends birthday and did the Rare and Endangered animals experience and got to handle and see lots of amazing animals, including the baby foxes! The staff member guiding us was super friendly and lovely, and it was well worth the money spent. Would 100% come here again.
An absolutely fantastic afternoon spent doing the owl experience. Plenty of opportunities to hold and interact with the different owls, lots of information given to us about them and it was amazing to see them up close. Highly recommend! Thank you for such an enjoyable experience!
Great little centre with a variety of birds and other animals. The staff are well informed and approachable and the cost is definitely a bargain for what you get It's only open to the public for specific experiences and days so you must buy your ticket in advance.
We visited for a 2 hour owl experience. It was amazing. We got to handle 5 different sorts of owls and flew 2 of them. The centre manager led the session and was super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this unreservedly.
Absolutely fantastic experience. The knowledge and facts known by the young man taking us through the day was incredible. We got time to hold and learn about lots of different owls and birds of prey.
Absolutely fantastic experience at the North Somerset Bird of Prey Centre’s opening day! We had such a brilliant time today — from the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the incredible birds in their care. The flying displays were an absolute highlight — getting to see owls, falcons, and eagles up close was truly unforgettable. It was clear how much care and respect goes into looking after the animals here. The team took the time to answer questions and share fascinating facts about each bird, making the whole visit feel really personal and engaging. The atmosphere was relaxed, family-friendly, and well-organized from start to finish. This is an amazing place doing important conservation and educational work. Highly recommend to anyone who loves wildlife or just wants a unique day out. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
Did the meet the animals experience this morning. Woody was an amazing guide, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Had such a great time, a choice of birds we could handle but they introduced us to all of birds on site. Fed the foxes and Armadillo, held the kookaburra, ferrets and bearded dragon. We loved it, great value for money and we will definitely be back. A wonderful place that everyone should visit.
