Great museum with plenty to see. Would highly recommend. Good price too.
What a fantastic and very interesting museum and very cheap entry fee would highly recommend
A very nice museum about the Nazi occupation in Diekirch and Luxembourg in general. We stayed there for around one hour and a half and it was really interesting to see how the war was lived here. The entrance tickets were €5 per person, so there is absolutely no reason to skip this museum if you're interested in modern history (or also in weapons and military vehicles!)
Very nice museum. Not too big. Not a ton of reading. Signs are in French, German and English. Bathrooms on site. Cash only for the gift shop. Arrows on the ground showing you where to go. It sits in a very cute town as well.
The Musée National d’Histoire Militaire in Diekirch is one of the most detailed and immersive military museums in the region. It focuses primarily on World War II, with a strong emphasis on the Battle of the Bulge and Luxembourg’s role in the conflict. The museum features lifelike dioramas, authentic uniforms, weapons, vehicles, and personal stories that give a deep insight into the human experience of war. It’s both educational and emotionally powerful—a great place for history buffs and anyone looking to understand the local impact of global events.
Nice establishment, definitely worth a visit if your into WWII history. It seems like every museum where ever you are has the same idea, just cramm as much stuff in one place as you can and call it a museum. Several things i haven't seen before like the V3 prototype, panzerfaust and panzerschreck, the collection itself is pretty cool.
Amazing ❤️ Musem, You will find many items related to World War II and many items used by the German and US military at that time.
The museum has great expositions with staging of different war scenes. It also has an impressive collection of military vehicles. The price is only 5 eur. Definitely recommend a visit.

SUPER cool. It has carriages, old cars from de 40's, motorbikes, explanatory videos and great souvenirs. Although for me they were a tiny bit expensive they are super cool nevertheless. If you get the Luxembourg pass you can enter for free. If you are a fan of the history of the automotive industry, you should 100% check it out. Loved it. And please don't touch the vehicles, I saw a couple of them with fingerprints and hurts to see so well maintained cars not being respected as they deserve, it's a museum.
Nicely done smallish museum of vintage cars. There was an exhibition of MG cars downstairs and Diekirch brewery memorabilia upstairs. Interesting and worth a trip.
We've been there this afternoon because the Luxembourg open museum weekend and it was told to us that the museum is closed THIS WEEKEND, but if we want the beer museum was open (not included in the event of open museums, because not listed in the event official site). This was so so disappointing as we came here from Luxembourg ville just fir this museum today.
They have some lovely vehicles on display, but most are on display from a distance. None of the cars behind the first row can be seen properly. The place is small and overcrowded with cars, I can understand they don’t want people touching the cars but if cannot look at them from both sides, what’s the point. I would just remind the people running this museum…at the Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart the cars are worth million yet you can look at them from every angle your just asked not to touch. Sorry I cannot recommend this museum.
A small but very nice museum. We didn't know Robert Opron until then and some of the cars on display were also unknown to us. The displays were also well signposted. The beer museum on the upper floor was also very interesting. All in all, a lovely museum. The only thing that left a bad aftertaste during our visit was the reception staff. We bought something at the end of our stay and while we were there the man at the counter started shouting at a lady. That really didn't make a good impression.
At the time we visited, the museum had an exhibition of historical Citroën cars, as well as some other vintage models. The place is not very big but still it's worth visiting for the retro car enthusiast.
Amazing! One of the best we have ever visited. Truly captured the essence.
I wouldn't call this place a museum, is basically a small sites with collectibles. Do not recommend on this place.

Amazing food. Fresh and very authentic Italian. Wine tasting was done after our dining in the restaurant and we got to taste a little from the north to south Italy. Definitely a must go to when you are in Diekirch or nearby. Well done and thank you for an excellent afternoon.
This restaurant is not bad at all and the interior design reminds me a lot of the ones from Italy. It does taste quite good but I have to say that me and my company found the portions rather small for the elevated price. The owner ia very friendly but be also careful because we took the spaghetti bolognese which is included in the launch for 12.80 yet he wanted to bill it to us as outside of the launch menu for 16.30. It got however corrected after we told him.
I had tomato bruschetta as appetiser, (a rather large portion of) ossobucco as the main course and semifreddo as dessert. Lovely food, perfectly executed, perfect balance of flavours in every dish. Simple, elegant Italian touch to every dish, even the dessert was not too sweet, which I love, the coffee was good and the bread very tasty. What is also important the waiter is very friendly and kind. I might want a bit cosier interior, which since the pandemic has become a bit more sterile. Maybe to allow more space and distance between guests they had to get rid of some shelves from the walls? If so, chapeau for thinking of this. And the food and service is very good. So I enjoyed my lunch fully.
Great experience! Excellent food! Fine wines! Exquisite flair!
My favorite restaurant in Diekirch 🥰 Delicious fresh food & good wine😍

We visited this museum with 7 y.o. and 4 y.o. kids and had great time! 😍 There are plenty of interesting interactive objects, the most amazing for the kids was the large 3D map, where you can switch the buttons and enlighten the corresponding areas and buildings on the map 👍❤️ So I definitely recommend visiting and spending an hour or so inside. The staff was very friendly, too!
It's fine. A small town museum with a nice tile mosaic floor from 150AD and a creepy Roman crypt! Super scary and the highlight of the museum, IMHO.
Beautiful museum with extraordinarily friendly personnel. The catacombs and mosaic are impressive and the rest of the exhibitions are somewhat small scale. But nice for kids because these are interactive. Definitely worth the visit!
Good museum for kids
Wonderful museum and staff! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
For a little walk in there really nice
Nice museum with some impressive local findings like a roman mosaic. Very child-friendly.

Sang in an a cappella concert here. Wonderful acoustic in this very old church.

Needless to say, I was a tour guide there in my youth. Our old church is still as pretty and well-preserved as ever. See you soon! (Translated by Google) It was under the Roman Empire that the Luxembourg regions experienced their first territorial divisions. Administratively, Luxembourg, belonging to the city of Trévires, is part of the Gallia Belgica. The first major roads connected the places whose numbers increased in parallel with a growing population. Farms are being set up all over the country to guarantee supplies. Such a farm was probably also built in Diekirch in the 1st century AD. After the first crisis of the empire, the manor was probably abandoned in the 3rd century AD. Some of the outbuildings will still be in use later. The first church in the region was installed in one of these houses in the 7th century "Vielle Eglise Saint Laurent".

Best cinema theater in Luxembourg. 8.5 EUR the ticket per adult Drinks and pop corn are reasonably priced.( For example x- large popcorn 3.5 euros) Seats are super comfortable and plenty of legroom!! Free parking outside
Grounded, cheap, pleasant. You can enjoy your movie without disturbance. It's different from the big movie theaters which is good.
Colorful cinema, with comfortable seats which normally no one before you stuck in your view. Free parking nearby, though normally it is difficult to find a parking place (during the week / work hours). You can book your tickets online, but you can also buy at the cashier's. Most movies are German dubbed, yet you can also find original versions.
We love Cine Scala, Super tidy, well maintained cinema hall. Love their popcorn! Their staff are very good too.
The seats are large, they don't fold like in most cinemas - which make it so much more comfortable! - and the distance between your seat and the seat in front of you is big enough you don't even have to flinch for someone to pass comfortably! A cup of popcorn is 2€, so you can definitely allow yourself to have some. And the cinema room is proportional to the screen so even though it's a relatively small room it's just as comfortable as a large one!
A wonderful cinema with decent pricing, free parking behind, a good location overall and super friendly staff. The seats are comfy, the sound is amazing, definitely recommend.
Really enjoy this cinema. Its clean, modern, has many show rooms and its good priced (under 10 euros per movie). It is mostly quiet (sometimes you're like 10 people in a room) and I love that. I even had sometimes a movie all by myself, which was amazing! You can enjoy movies without loud people around. Sometimes the cinema gets really packed and online reservation is recommended, but thats rarely occuring. I only remember Oppenheimer, Avengers Endgame and Spiderman being fully sold out.
Great seats, good sound, veey good alternative to the bug cinemas in town.

The best place to rent a bike in the area!!! The service is professional and really kind and friendly. There is a lot of bicycles in great condition and cheap prices. Highly recommended!!!
Very quick service. Was looking for a place to rent mountainbikes in luxembourg, and this one has lots of them, so it is unlikely to run out. The price, €60 for 4 bikes for a day, was very reasonable.
Best bike rental experience of my life. Stuff served me very quickly and with high quality. Gave me everything I needed and the bike was in very good condition with no flaws. I recommend it to everyone who is going on a trip to Luxembourg and wants to go out by bike. Diekirch is close to Luxembourg and the price is very good.
Great service! We rented mountainbikes at Rent a Bike, and had a great experience because of their good service. They advised us a nice trail (Bettendorf-Reisdorf), which was exactly what we were looking for. On the way, we got a flat tire unfortunately, but after a phone call they brought a new bike so that we could continue our trail. Due to this delay, we were a bit late with returning the bikes, but it was not a problem at all. This was more than we expected!
Prices to rent a bike are amazing to begin with. Furthermore, the people from rentabike are fluent in German, French and English, which makes conversation easy. We were also helped tremendously with information about the area, places to go and an app for your phone that has all the mountainbike routes.
Super service for my family of 5 (3 kids) were provided by professional ‘Specialized’ mountains bikes. Jo who helped us was super helpful adjusting the bikes and saddles heights. Thank you very much for such a top notch customer friendliness! We can recommend everybody to go to Rentabike Diekirch! About the trails: 16 is a lazy along side the river separate bike path. We did also the mountainbike trail 25 (Bettendorf-Wallendorf) and the very strenuous trail 14 starting just south of Diekirch in a 8 shaped for so you can choose part 1, 2 or both part of the trail.
Perfect! We have visited this rentabike for some e-Bikes for a little tour to Viande. Friendly staff and good bikes for a fair price. It’s recommended to reservate the bikes. Parc your Car nearby the river for €1 a day. Nice area to visit and spend a day.
Fantastic place to rent bikes to travel for example to Echternach and back. Good service and a fair price.
