If you are a bird and nature lover place is worth visiting. 90 kms from Nellore a hour and half drive by car. November appears to be the best time to visit as a variety of birds nest here. They however fly to Pulicat bird sanctuary to feed where one can see flamingoes as well and enjoy a boat ride in the lake. Hire a cab or drive your car. Opens at 8 am and closes at 5 pm.
Nellapattu Bird Sanctuary is a lovely place for birding in Feb, lots of Pelicans and Openbills breeding season with their chicks just grown up during this time, once you get out of Chennai it’s a wonderful road to Nellapattu Sanctuary.
We came all the way from Canada to show my son that how birds migrate . Unfortunately they developed the sanctuary so we well with the food shops and nothing else , there are no binoculars are no proper guidelines , everybody was using phones to see the birds .and few years back there used to show a movie regarding the migration but now it’s just a show off nothing else very disappointing.this shows how we r getting away from nature and getting closer to business
If you are a bird lover only you visit nellapatu bird sanctuary. For all tourists, I would suggest to get a rented or own vehicle to santuary for to and fro journey to santuary. I took a bus from Nellore to sullurpeta..and asked driver to stop at nellapattu and walked around 1.5 km from highway to santuary. It's really exhausting. One should walk alot to have a good view of birds. Birds were there but not worthy of so much effort for not so bird loving person. Facilities: There are no hotels nearby, get your food packed and have ample of energy to walk around. Washrooms are available. You will have small playground sort of thing and birds to watch. Ps: This review is mainly for tourist. As I drained my complete energy visiting nellapatu for nothing.
Lot of birds than Pulicat Sanctuary. It's better to go here and enjoy the view. Make sure you are well equipped with cameras and lenses.
Favourite destination for different migrant birds. With lake and surrounded by crop fields. You can listen birds speaking
Went to this bird sanctuary on 30th June. It was closed. We were told that as the water body is dry due to summer, there are no birds to watch. It is expected to be opened in October. But there was no sign board in English regarding this closure.
A very good place for Bird lovers. You can find a variety of flora and fauna over there.

Very good and powerful temple, please visit and get grace of goddess Kamakshi Amma. I felt divinity in this temple
Jonnawada Kamakshi Temple is an ancient, spiritually powerful temple near Nellore, attracting many devotees for its serene riverbank ambiance and divine blessings. While highly respected, some visitors note that maintenance and staff behavior could be improved for a better pilgrim experience.
An ancient temple dedicated to Lord Mallikarjunaswamy and Goddess Kamakshi thayar. It’s on the banks of Pennar river . It’s a Sakthi Peedam , graced by Adhi Shankaracharya. There are different sannadhis for Annapoorani, Navagraham and so on . In the main temple , Lakshmi Ganapathi and Adhi shankara vigrahams are present . This shrine is brimmed with Divinity and peacefulness Temple rituals are in full swing with Kalyanotsvam. Approach to the temple entrance from main road has to be nearly maintained by the local authorities along with the bathing areas of the river banks . They are quite unhygienic, chaotic and with encroachments.

Visited Chengalamma Temple after many years and the ambiance still remains peaceful and divine. The temple holds a timeless charm with its serene surroundings and traditional structure. It was heartwarming to see school children visiting the temple, adding life and learning to the spiritual atmosphere. The place continues to reflect cultural richness and devotion, making it a pleasant experience for both devotees and visitors.
Temple was good with nice maintenance, all facilities are available their. At afternoon they are providing annaprasadam , must visit place.
Nice temple on the way to Nellore. Avoid morning hrs between 7 and 0845. Free entry
I feel truly blessed to have visited the historic Chengalamma Temple, which has stood for over 400 years. The energy of the place is deeply spiritual and calming, and the temple's serene atmosphere offers a moment of peace and reflection. The architecture, though simple, carries the weight of centuries of devotion and tradition. It was a humbling experience to stand in a place where generations have come to seek blessings. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit, and I sincerely hope to return again. A must-visit for anyone seeking spiritual connection and cultural heritage.
We initially found this temple by accident...now it's an annual tradition for my family. We've been coming here since 3 years now. The aura that this temple is unmatched. This place has quite the profound history. The temple is well maintained. But the rooms here could use more service, the rooms need more attention as the doors, beds and especially the bathrooms are not well maintained. Overall, I highly recommend this place, it is one of the most peaceful places out there!
Big temple, which is famous among that region of people. This is my first time there. It seems, there is some celebration going on due to navarathri. Moderate crowd.
Nice temple every one have to visit During dasara full of temple with decoration and uthsava vigrahas

Shopping
Vibrant mall featuring retail shops, boutiques, fast-food outlets & other eateries, plus a theater.
Slide 1 of 8
In Nellore this is one good Mall good maintenance Hindi small gaming's available shopping available anything is available in this month always welcome
This mall in Nellore stands as the sole shopping destination, featuring a well-structured layout across its 5 floors. With dedicated spaces for cinema, a diverse food court, engaging games, and renowned shops like Reliance Mart, KFC, Max, and Trends, it offers a comprehensive shopping and entertainment experience. Noteworthy is their festive spirit, as they intricately decorate the ground floor during upcoming festivals, creating a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere for visitors.
Disappointing Visit: MGB Mall Suffers from Poor Maintenance and Lack of Brands My recent visit to MGB Mall was unfortunately quite disappointing, primarily due to two significant issues: the noticeable decline in maintenance and the prevalent lack of open and engaging brand spaces. Firstly, the overall upkeep of the mall has clearly deteriorated. From dimly lit corridors to dusty surfaces and even some visible wear and tear on the common areas, the mall feels neglected. This lack of attention to basic cleanliness and maintenance significantly detracts from the shopping experience and gives the impression of a venue that is no longer prioritized. A well-maintained environment is crucial for any retail space, and MGB Mall is currently falling short in this regard. Secondly, and equally concerning, is the abundance of closed storefronts and empty retail spaces. It's disheartening to walk through sections of the mall only to find shuttered shops or vacant units. This not only creates an uninviting and somewhat desolate atmosphere but also severely limits the variety of brands and products available to shoppers. Many of the previously available brands seem to have disappeared, leaving behind empty shells that highlight a lack of current and engaging retail options. For a mall that aims to attract visitors, having so many unoccupied spaces is a major drawback. In its current state, MGB Mall struggles to offer a compelling reason to visit. The poor maintenance makes it an unappeasant environment, and the significant number of closed and empty brand spaces means there's very little to see or buy. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and invests in both the upkeep of the mall and in attracting new and diverse brands to fill the empty units. Until then, I would hesitate to recommend MGB Mall as a primary shopping destination.
Mall ambience was excellent and calming. However get disappointed with the food; disgusting quality. I even decay spots in my icecream. The gaming zone on the other hand gave a better experience; it had quite a few faltering games but those which were fine functioned well. All phases except the food, face a satisfying experience. Food standards and quality truly need to be improved.
Best place for your children to enjoy and for you to shop, but please don't enter in reliance grocery shop, its horrible. Don't know what people are doing there. Nothing is available in it's designated place. But yes lots of things for children in MGB you also enjoy movie with shopping, perfect place yo Hangout.
MGB Mall children's play with games on shopping very good mall best place Nellore so 😎
Good experience I love it MGB MALL 😍😍😍

Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region!
Penchalakona Temple is a very peaceful and divine place. It is surrounded by beautiful hills and greenery. The temple is for Lord Narasimha Swamy and has a very powerful feeling. The journey to the temple is also very nice, with good natural views. There is a natural spring (koneru) near the temple where many people take a holy bath. The water feels very fresh. The temple priests are polite and do puja properly. Parking and small food stalls are available, but facilities can be a little better. Overall, it is a very good place to visit with family for peace and blessings. Best time to go is early morning and Saturday's.
This is some beautiful Narasimha Swamy temple setup in hills and forest area in Nellore district. Temple wasn't crowded even on Sunday. Had beautiful darshanam. Om Shri Lakshmi Narasimhaya Namaha.
Fantastic experience, love the vibe of this place, Beautiful and peaceful temple, Breathtaking views of the mountains and especially the waterfall is amazing. Need to trek for a good 45 minutes to reach the waterfall and it's worthy of each and every step. *Elderly people better avoid this trek *Need to carry food and water *No mobile signals in this place *Best to visit after moderate rains *Once in a lifetime experience...! Try to reach the waterfall in the first hours to avoid the crowd.
We visited Penchalakona Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple on a weekday, and the experience was truly peaceful and spiritual. The temple is surrounded by beautiful hills and greenery. The location itself feels very calm and divine. There were no crowds, and we got to sit quietly in front of the deity without any rush. The priest told us that Saturdays are very crowded, as people come to see the deity without any decoration (natural form), which happens only on that day. Sundays are a bit crowded too. Weekdays are the best time for a quiet and peaceful darshan. The place is so beautiful that I would recommend staying overnight if possible. Early mornings and evenings feel magical here. A must-visit place for anyone looking for peace, nature, and spiritual connection. 🙏
OM Namo Narasimhaya! One of the Nava (nine) Narasimha kshetras in Andhra. The main diety is Narasimha and is Swayabhu. Goddess Lakshmi temple is few meters far and little bit hight to the main temple. This powerful temple is 2hour journey from Nellore. You can find a famous penchalakona water falls 2km from the main temple. We need to go by walk to reach the falls. It would be very beautiful during the rainy season. Dont miss this beautiful place when you are around.
Lord Penusila Lakshmi Nrusimha. The divine and powerful god. A divine and peaceful temple nestled in the hills. Lord Penusila Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is worshipped here with great devotion. Very good, convenient and centrally air conditioned convention center in the heart of the Nellore town. There are two of this kind. Lavish parking is also there.
The Hall is good and spacious to cater for about 800 people and their dining needs. But the 🅿️ parking is pathetic , Not at all maintained. And it's not easy to drive over the ramp for basement parking. The lack of sunlight is a bit disadvantage to this Space. The entrance gallery is Extremely good with good lighting and maintained well. It would be nice to capture entry pictures and videos of bride and groom or special dignitory for any event
Interior was good with good lighting Official look, with nice seating capacity. But no mobile signals inside convention hall. Very near to Rtc Bus Stand.
Very good and speciaus with all facilities.
It is basically situated in the cellar, no proper ventilation and planning of bride and bridegroom rooms. It is best for gathering than the marriage functions. The ambience is good though
Attended a wedding. Good ambiance and also food is good. But the A/C has been switched off after sometime.
The function Hall and the dining area are spacious and classy. They have a spacious parking area for cars and bikes and the surroundings are decent.
Best for small functions. Enough space for 200 people. Under ground parking is little difficult to park a car.
