We had a very pleasant visit to the mills. Our guide was amazing, with a high knowledge of the mills and surroundings. The mills are very well preserved, and landscapes all around are breathtaking. Delicious cakes and cappuccino in the coffee shop
This heritage location is a must-visit. While the Google Maps show the closing time as 5 PM, it’s best to arrive before 4 PM to secure a spot. The entry fee is €12 per adult, and a guided tour pack is available from the reception. It’s an ideal spot to soak up the sunlight, with the mills visible from outside the compound wall. There’s also a beautiful park for kids and a lovely cafeteria that closes at 5 PM. This place is perfect for families, children, and history buffs. The photos which i am sharing here is captured from outside the compound wall.
We came on a Sunday morning with the kids and it was quite empty. We got a family tour all to ourselves which was quite nice. It was very informative and there was more to see than just mill related technology. The tour was quite technical though I found that at times it was difficult for the children to follow (aged 5,7,9) The highlight was definitely powering the watermill and seeing the inside wheels turn. The playground outside was also a nice reward for the kids 😅
Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions, took his time and was also funny. We had a great time! (The gift shop and cafe are also wonderful!)
We visited Skerries Mills recently and had a lovely experience. The guided tour was informative and gave great insight into the history of the windmills and watermill. The surroundings are peaceful, and the café was a perfect spot to relax afterward. A charming place that’s definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
Had a lovely time here. We did the tour with Alex. He was AMAZING. Knowledgeable, hilarious, and personable. We learned a lot, had a relaxing day, enjoyed the café and had a wonderful walk through the town. Highly recommend making a trip out here
It was worth every penny . Great informative guided tour. 2 wind mills and water mill. Still in operation or videos shown how they work. Food is great in their cafe . Nice play area for kids . Designated parking for EV cars tht was something new .
Our visit to Skerries Mills was an absolute delight. We did a tour with Alex at 4pm (their last tour of the day) and had an amazing time. It was such a lovely mix of interesting historical facts, humour and beautiful views - we will surely be back next time family is visiting. Do stop by here if you're in Skerries and do yourself a favor and grab some lunch before or after your tour at they café - they have amazing food and coffee.

Great wee pub at the harbour in Skerries. The bar staff are friendly and attentive, service was excellent. The atmosphere was great with lots of customers taking their drinks outside and enjoying a fantastic sunny evening. The views of the harbour and across the bay are fantastic. Definitely worth a visit.
Our favourite spot for Guinness and Aperol Spritz is Skerries. Can get busy but that's no issue for experienced staff. Really lively on the sunny days, people would enjoy time outside. Fantastic atmosphere.
AVOID GUINNESS HERE!!! The worst pint of Guinness I've had in a long time. As a bar man all my life, these are definitely using slopps 100%. Absolutely horrible pint of Guinness. Turned my stomach.
A nice comfortable Bar. Staff friendly and helpful. Has some of the best views. You could see sitting at the bar. Great pint of Guinness. Beautiful part of Dublin. Great atmosphere. On a clear day. You can see The Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea.
Great atmosphere and lovely views over harbour not to mention the quality drinks
Highly recommended, friendly staff, food beautiful, and the pints of Guinness, nice homely atmosphere,
As an American visiting Ireland, I found this place, unique, quaint with an exceptionally friendly staff
The best pub in the east for watching the sun set in the west! With the best view of Skerries harbour, partake in some "tidal studies" while you chat with the locals or friendly staff. The atmosphere is always alive in Joe's. Always a big favourite during the Skerries road races. In the summer this place is packed but don't worry, locals and visitors will spill out onto the street and soak up the rays! Try their toasties to tide you over...

Paddy really knows his stuff and will order in books if they are not in stock. Brilliant shop well worth a visit.
Lovely little shop downstairs with good choice of new and second hand books. Deceptively excellent school book section upstairs. Very helpful gentleman serving.
Skerries bookshop is a little gem in our town and Paddy,it's proprietor, is fantastic. What he might not have in stock he searches high and low for.
What a quaint book shop with the nicest and most helpful owner Paddy who will order any book you want! Don't go anywhere else!
Quant little bookshop ,owner very helpfull in location ing a book for me was quite pleased with my purchase a little gem 💎 😀
This isn't the biggest bookshop in the world but it's possibly the friendliest and most helpful. Doesn't hurt that it's in the best town in Ireland either!
Great little old style book store.Paddy behind is a gent and very helpful.
I always got my school books from here. Paddy is a great guy and always was friendly

Such a charming little pub. We only stopped for a drink on our way to the train station but wished we could've stayed longer. Excellent service, great drink but the selling point for me is the atmosphere through decor and music. I've never felt so comfortable in a pub before, it's more like a living room than anything. Highly recommend stopping by here :)
Lovely place to drink in at any time of year. But it would be better if parents kept their kids under better control or left them home altogether. No worries guys and I appreciate your response. Despite what I said I guess it's not easy for parents who fancy a drink and either want their kids to enjoy Christmas with them here or don't want to pay exorbitant child care costs.
Best experience with the bartender 🤗 He def looks like Richie Hawtin! You techno guy! Thanks for making our stay here the best experience! Very good Aperol Spritz made by the brunette girl from the back bar, and not talking about beers’ you should try them all!!! Have a pleasant stay! 🤗
This is about the coolest pub I've ever been in. The decor, the design, the memorabilia. If I owned a pub I'd want it to be just like this. Great staff and Guineas too. No food rating as we just came in for a drink.
This is a hidden gem nesseled on a side street in Skerries. Beautiful bar magical inside. Excellent service.
Such a beautiful pub. Great service, lovely atmosphere, nice and friendly staff, very original interior decorations. Love It!!!!!!
Beautiful bar, real open fire and great pint of Guinness!
Great pub! The interior is fantastic! Staff was friendly and on point.

Had a fantastic time at Karen's workshop. It is a great way to spend the day and great value for money considering you don't need to bring a thing with you and the lunch and coffee is fantastic. A fantastic gift for an art enthusiast or beginner, or to give yourself some time 'out'. I didn't know anything much about pigments/colour, so that was particularly interesting. It was my first time using oils and using the knife was great because although I didn't exactly master 😅 anything it was very different from brushes, so a totally new experience and very relaxing few hours. It's just a few mins from the train for anyone not driving. I feel I came away from the class with some clear concepts, great tips and ready to try give it a go myself. Would strongly recommend.
I purchased two of Karen's prints at the Kilkenny Design Centre in Dublin. Stunning images and reasonably priced. The prints are now hanging on my bedroom wall in Manchester. A promise of Spring on these dark and dismal November days. Highly recommended.
I did the seascape pallet knife class with Karen, it was a great day out. We first prepared the canvas and learned how to layout the scene. We then had a tea break where we got to know the other people on the course. We then continued with the seascape . Karen demonstrated every stage of the painting. The lunch was delicious. The painting was completed by 4pm, and each painting was unique and very acceptable. Karen was welcoming, friendly and helpful, her passion for art was very much in evidence. I can recommend the course highly as everything was included in the price.
I did four palette knife workshops with Karen over the past 2 years, Seascapes, Floral, Landscape and Wildflower Meadow and not only thoroughly enjoyed them but learned so much about using palette knives, composition and mixing colours. All in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Recently I joined Karen's Zoom classes and not having participated in online classes before I wasn't sure what to expect but while I certainly miss the face-to-face experience I found the zoom experience as informative, relaxed and enjoyable. Karen is so knowledgeable and helpful, no question phases her. And there's the added bonus of learning from the answers she gives to the other participants. Looking forward to joing Karen again soon. Karen Wilson’s paintings are beautiful. Also, she did a great service to us by coming in to reopen after closing, when we went to get a painting for my husband’s 40th. Your painting of one of my family’s favorite places is now hanging prominently in our living room. Thank you, Karen!
Karen was a wonderful instructor..she created a lovely relaxed atmosphere and was really encouraging to everyone in the group. I picked up some great tips and was delighted with my finished painting
Thank you so much Karen. I really enjoyed my art class. I would highly highly recommend Karens class for any level of experience. I will definitely be back for more classes. It's such a nice relaxing enjoyable day.
Had a wonderful day with Karen creating a seascape Got lots of tips & hints on how to produce a beautiful painting I met lovely people in the group & I will definitely be back again

Great local called in mid-week afternoon. Locals and barman made us feel welcome. Great pints of Guinness. Till next time
BEST PUB IN SKERRIES, the price are cheap the place are great it's possible to play flyer for free
Heinrick and lads no how to look after ppl doesn't care if ur local or a new face ,u get the same treatment best pub in skerries by a mile 100%
Best Guinness I've had outside of the Guinness factory itself. Perfect 👌🏻
The staff and customers are amazingly friendly and welcoming to strangers. Due to being let down by the owners of the red bank guesthouse, the wonderful people in the Coast Inn made sure that we had somewhere safe and friendly to stay for the night.
Service and drinks were okay but there appeared to be droves of young teenagers who were clearly underaged. Many of them were openly sharing IDs and the staff didnt seem to care.
