Our family definitely had a fun & unique this experience at Fintown Railway! Our son loves trains so we added this experience to our Donegal trip. It looks like we have stepped back in time, enjoying a scenic ride along the irish countryside. The ride took about 35-40mins back & forth. Staff were very friendly. This experience is great for kids& families. Would definitely recommend
Enjoyable and relaxing train ride through the Irish countryside. The staff were courteous and helpful. The mechanic sat beside my wife and I , and we had a very pleasant conversation on the first part of the ride.
Definitely worthwhile a visit, lovely small railway along Lough Finn. Very friendly staff that love to help you and give information about the trains and the railway. It's very well priced too.
Well worth a visit! Came across this little gem by accident, and thoroughly enjoyed the history chat while enjoying the little spin in the restored railway carriage.
The ride on the last operational railcar is a unique experience for fans of Irish narrow-gauge railways. Highly recommended.
What a lovely day out! The views from the train are stunning and the staff all friendly and knowledgeable.
Lovely experience, the kids and us enjoyed a lot the views and the vintage atmosphere. Staff was very kind!
Kids are definitely enjoying this drive.. scenic train drive.. short drive.. going and coming back the same way. ..

By far the best pub in Dungloe. We had a lovely two nights chatting with Gerry while we sat at the bar. Guinness was fantastic and a large range of other drinks available also. Great spot to watch a match. Hoping to be back again soon!
I had the pleasure to walk into this amazing pub! Great service by Charleen! She pours the perfect pint! Amazing views from the terrace. I will definitely be back!
Fantastic pub, very friendly both the landlady and the locals and a great pint of Guinness, what's not to love! Hope to be back sometime.
Lovely pub with lovely, really lovely staff. Unfortunately they don’t do food but they do great drinks and Taytos. There’s a fantastic balcony overlooking the sea too. It’s become our local, even though it’s not our nearest pub. They do do a fantastic cheese board or deli meats board but you need to pre order it. We were in recently and we saw an absolutely mouthwatering, tray bending selection of food that had been put out for a group of celebrating locals.
A warm Irish welcome. Probably the best bar in Dungloe. Staff so friendly and Guinness so good. The terrace looking west is a great place to drink a beer, and watch the sunset.
Friendly staff, wonderful views from the balcony and a good drink selection at a decent price. Thought this was the best bar in the area during our visit. Recommended.
Tried all the bars in Dungloe over space of a few days. Hands down this was the best. Friendly staff and customers, spotlessly clean and good value. McCaffertys a close second but the staff made all the difference here.
Best pub more like family. Treated us like family especially when my wee daddy died love you all xx

Wee granddaughter loved it an very friendly staff
-it was a fantastic visit to An Club Beag there was a very very small crowd there which suited us great as we had three children ranging from one year to six so they had a great time and the run of the place. There was no screaming or crying so we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit there Thank you
Absolutely great place 2 hours of great fun. A safe environment for children to have brilliant fun and where you can sit and relax have a coffee or food or just read a paper. Brilliant.
No policing of age ranges in younger area. Lots of big children were scaring my little girl so I had to play in with her. Good facilities and friendly staff
It does not be too busy. Nice coffee. Cater for children's parties, with different packages available.
Lovely place for kids. Must be the cleanest kids play area I've ever been in.
The down side is unhealthy foods and juices at children level. So my toddler kept asking for sweets and juice!
Excellent place for kids and for mammy's too. Will be going back very soon.

Great little pub in Dunloe. Staff were great and very welcoming. Warm fireplace makes a nice enough on a rainy and cold day.
Called in here for a drink late August on a Friday evening and were welcomed and made feel at home right away by Paul behind the bar, and John and Brendan the locals. Stayed a while and were back sat and sun. Just a cosy wee Irish bar reasonably priced drinks and friendly people all round. Bobbys still lookin for Mary 🤭

Just went kayaking with Stephen and it was brilliant. The location is great, and we were honoured by 17 seals showing up. We really enjoyed the experience. Stephen took the time to explain the technique of kayaking, full gear was provided and we loved it! Safe place to kayak and enjoy the natural coastline. Would highly recommend.
My teenage son and I had a fabulous sunset kayak trip with Maghery Coastal Adventures. I've never kayaked before, so the practical demo at the start was really useful. We spent 2 hours exploring Dungloe Bay and towards the end we were joined by plenty of common and grey seals. So peaceful. Will definitely book on again. Thanks a lot, Stephen.
Had a great evening paddle boarding at high tide in early August, 7-9pm. Instructor Joanna was fab and led us around the bay seal spotting. Highly recommmend.
Thank you Stephen for this amazing experience, the scenery was spectacular and we were so happy to see so many seals. We found the experience our best sea kayaking adventure yet. We would recommend this to all don’t hesitate book it up ☺️
Our whole family went out kayaking with Stephen and had a fantastic time. The scenery was spectacular and it was so peaceful being out on the water for a couple of hours. We were lucky enough to spot some seals, which really added to the experience. Stephen was an excellent instructor and made sure everyone in the family was comfortable being out on the water. Would highly recommend and great value for money too.
What an amazing experience for the 5 of us who accompanied Aoife on an evening session. She was so patient with the two 13 year olds, despite one of them finding it tricky to begin with. We explored all round the shore, stopping to look at the beauty beneath the kayaks. Still can’t get over the value for money too - you won’t be disappointed! Thanks Aoife - it was magical and the perfect end to our holiday! ❤️
Myself and 3 others did Kayaking during our time in Donegal few weeks back with the instructor Michael. Thr instructor was very knowledgeable of both the sport and the surroundings. He was really sound also which made the experience very enjoyable. Couldn't recommend the company and the instructor any more. Thanks!
Had a lovely SUP session which was really good value in a savage location. The instructor Joanna was great and had us standing before long.

Lovely lady welcoming you. Rooms are clean. You got your shower, toilet, telly. No complaints. Pubs are close.
Definitely not what was expected. Reviews, when I read them afterwards, stated about it being like a hostel, well I'd tend to agree to that. Nobody there to check us in, we rang the bell 3 times and rang the number 3 times before we finally got the host. The room was freezing when we arrived, we went out for dinner and came back and the room was still freezing, I called and the heating was put on. The room warmed up rightly. However, the TV and WiFi did not work. Literally no channels worked. The bed was so creaky and we could hear everything outside the door. At around 12.50am, there was a lot of noises like shouting/screaming in the building. It finally stopped around 1.30am. Breakfast was good, I didn't have the cooked breakfast but my husband did and said it wasn't bad, I had fruit and yoghurt with coffee. The girl serving this was very nice. Check out, nobody was there either, he'd gone out in the van earlier so key was left on the desk and we left. If you're looking for a bed to sleep in, then it's probably fine but I certainly won't be back
Heating didn't work, room was dead cold. Warm water in the shower didn't work, shower was broken beyond repair, toilet was leaking. Host wasn't avaliable until we called three times. Was wearing no shoes and didn't really pay attention to us. Zero stars would be more appropriate... location was good though
Location was good as well as the breakfast in the Sweeneys Hotel. The real rooms and those that appear in the web-images are quite different. In fact, the single room was a storeroom with a bed inside. The matress of the doble room was not appropiate for a hostel. It was very uncomfortable.
Family Friendly and Dog Friendly. We had fantastic relaxing stay. Rooms were available despite short notice and a busy bank holiday weekend. Clean and comfortable. TV with all the apps if you really need to :-) Very nice and roomy common sitting room. Jack is a fantastic host with "no problem" attitude. Breakfast was tasty and generous. 5 stars!
We booked the hostel next door but there was an error on the booking system. We turned up and the host sorted out a room at the river house instead for the rate we booked at. Included was a delicious breakfast made to order. It's a great budget friendly place to stay if passing by.
Bit of a mix up with Booking.com, a room was double booked but Jack went out of his way to sort us with something. We stayed in the hostel across the road but it was more like an apartment as we were the only people there. Nice double bed, lovely sitting room with giant TV and Netflix. Lovely big shower. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We got a full fry up! Only 5 minutes walk into town with an amazing Chinese Takeaway called Golden Palace. Jack was a brilliant host, so friendly and chatty. Couldn't recommend it enough!
Comfy bed Woke up to a lovely Irish breakfast in the morning.
