Lovely park with vast grounds where you can interact with animals and watch a bird of pray show. We visited in winter and enjoyed it despite the cold. The animals were out and about and we could feed them with the food bought at the park - you can but it at the ticket office and then stock up some more at vending machines throughout the park (bring coins). Also, bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty as some animals will jump or lean on you to get food. Our kids absolutely loved it and they also enjoyed walking through the small bird enclosure and having parakeets and budgies sit on their shoes and land on their arms. There’s a playground inside, as well as a snack kiosk and outside the park you’ll find a restaurant with typical german fare (think schnitzel and fries). There’s plenty of parking (free), especially if you arrive early. But do keep in mind that most foreign credit (and debit) cards are not accepted (e.g. Visa) so bring cash.
Superb variety of birds of prey and animals you can get close to. A great place for children and adults in a beautiful setting. Secret tip...try the homebrew Honey Beer!
Wow wow must go!!! Unbelievable! For all people 3 months to 120. Good to begin with the “train “ bus, that takes you around all directions to see and know where to go. First thing you have to ask when the birds show starts! Then go back and walk all the way. You can give food to the animals and go inside…. So cool. And be with them all around you. The wild birds are amazing! The “ Bambi “ so nice. You have pigs too and much more. We came with something to eat from home. Take water and good walking shoes.
This small zoo is a wonderful place to discover and interact with some animals and to learn more about them. And as a cherry on top there is also a bird of prey show. Unfortunately the show is in German, but the doesn't make it less spectacular.
Paradise for animal lovers. For 1€ you can buy a small bag of food, but make sure you get enough because there are so many adorable animals you want to feed!
Beautiful! Natural! Pure! I think it's one of the best open game enclosures in Europe. The ideal place for children, grown ups, couples, the elderly, in short for everyone. A huge parking lot outside with a nice cafe at the entrance. The tickets aren't that cheap. It costs 11€ for adults but on the other hand, it's so much worth it. For this amount you get so much in return inside. A magnificent bird show with all the best hunting birds for eg: Falcons, owls, different species of eagles and hawks, etc. You get to interact personally and feed varieties of animals like deers, boars, red deers, donkeys, lynx, sheeps, etc, etc. You can buy animal food at the counter, I think it costs 1€ per packet. It's pure nature inside with beautiful panoramas at places where mountains, river and the skies meet each other. We love this place alot and definitely recommend it to everyone. A MUST!
Quite a large park with many of the animals of the area exposed. The living area's of the wildlife are spacious for most animals. There is also a playground for children. In the park toilets are available and there are some coffee and lunch places around. At the entrance is a large restaurant.
Such a wonderful place! As an animal freak I was in paradise. Animals are well cared for and have a lot of freedom. Baby goats stole the show though! We absolutely recommend visiting. You can spend the whole day walking around and admire birds, bors, deer and whatnots. Best part...you can handfeed them, touch them and enjoy the nature. A must visit when in Eifel.

We had a lovely guided tour in the mine. Because our group had German and Dutch people, the guide was also in both languages. Our guide did have some nice interaction with the kids that were in our group and we all learned a lot. I can highly recommend this mine to go to. Be sure to bring some warm clothes as the mine is about 8 degrees all year round.
Museum, metal mine to visit. Small entrance fee, we paid 13,50 euro for 2 adults and 9 y old. Duration of the tour (interactive) was 90 minutes, in German language. But the nice guide took our limited knowledge of the language into account. Texts at POI are in English. Don't bring your Sunday shoes!
Wonderful experience, with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide that work there as vollunteers. Note that its 8 degrees Celsius in the mine all year round so bring a coat. The walk in the mine is about 2 km, but there are some low areas so its a bit of a workout. The museum is cute and has some interesting things but the main experience is the mine.
Really knowledgable and very interesting 2+ hour tour. We saw 300+ years of mining tunnels. As well as million year old fossilised sands. It was really awesome to see stoned water ways connect though earth plates. Our 7 and 9 year old got tired after 1,5 hours. Our German was passable enough to understand the guide. The photo is of graffiti by miners from 100+ years ago as they waited to load the mining carts. Also important to see the harrowing conditions of miners that often did not live to see 30 let alone 40.
Thanks a lot to the tour guide ( sorry i forgot the name) who did it in english because me and my friends were coming from France. It was very insightful and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
Really great place! Very good value, almost 2 hours down there for 5.5 Euro. Interesting as well for brave children! 8 degrees all year, bring your jackets!
great place.. would have been better if wore rain boots and a good jacket (neither wool nor cloth).. Better to take a small torch if u got any.. worth paying a visit
Great tour through the lead mine. Be prepared to walk like a dwarf. Very good and knowledgeable tour guide.

Great stop, if traveling through the are. Entry is free, and there a a bit of history posted. The tower is open, and it gives a great view of the valley.
This ruin was fun to visit, but if you're short on time, fine to skip this in your itinerary
A visit to this sleepy small village is so nice. Especially if your not the fittest person. You can visit the Eifel Blick, at a ruin and climb the old tower to view the valley. There's a small cafe but we were to late to visit. The ruin is avaliable (but a bit rocky) for people with a wheelchair of buggy or so.
Fantastic place and a must see while visiting Eifel National park
This place should be on the to-do list of every Eifel tourist. Lovely grounds and village on top of the hill with stunning views.
Nice castle that you can visit on your way to some places. It is not a big one, but it is quiet and it is not frequently visited by people, so it is a good place to relax and admire the architecture.
Nothing but the ruins. The castle itself is located on the small hill upper the residence area. You could go up to the tower to enjoy the view without paying any entrance fee or something. A good stop if you are just nearby. The parking space is avail by the main road and it takes about 10 min walking up the church (chapel ) n the castle.
Nice historic little town with a beautifull ruine

You can get off the main road with your car. Across the road or here. You can walk to the concrete teeth. There are multiple places you can see them in the area so tbh no real need to visit this specific spot but it is in the woods which is nice.
(Translated by Google) If you understand the thinking behind it, it is really interesting to walk around. Nice views from the watchtower
(Translated by Google) There is no toilet, no shower, nothing, only when you fill up with water you pay 4 euros for 50 liters and that is usury and then unfriendly only from the weather station on the bounce and show off but offer nothing for us mobilists - the grass is almost as high as the mobile homes! Actually NOT DESERVING A SINGLE STAR!!!! Oh, I forgot something, there is only an old telephone booth with the number machines. I wonder why they are there when someone comes to collect money. Cars have to pay 5 euros and to visit them they don't offer anything reasonable, only a tour adults 9 euros children 5 euros so it's funny what's going on there because these plants that grow there; You can also find it on every motorway parking lot and rest area!!!!!
(Translated by Google) Open and warm round through the Wetter Park. Great, you immediately feel at home. (Original) Offene und herzliche Runde durch den Wetter-Park. Klasse, da fühlt man sich gleich Zuhause.
