Picturesque mountain pass popular for hiking & cycling, with abundant wildlife & scenic views.

Hard climb, especially in its final 7.5 km! Landscape is beautiful. From atop there in about 30 minutes you can reach the Col d'Aubisque.
Fantastic view on the ascent.
Love it there. The scenery and views are extraordinary.
Very nice Col. Long climb, green valley, incredible views. Free animals on the road.
Cyclist review - Did this climb as part of a loop from Argeles Gazost taking in the Spandelles first. Lovely quiet road from Ferreira and good tarmac for the decent back to Argeles Gazost, definitely recommend that direction. Nice cafe that was actually open with public loos at the top, don't always get that even on more climbs like the Toumalet. Unfortunately Aubisque was still closed when we did it but looks a shortish climb from here. Decent into Argeles Gazost is fast
What an outstanding view. One of the hikes you don’t want to miss while staying in the Pyrenees.
OK but I suppose the low cloud took the shine off it. Aspen pass tho was excellent.
Really beautiful mountain pass, very good for bikers.

Situated in the lovely town of Arrens-Marsous, the office de tourisme will help you to get the most from your journey through the Pyrenees mountains that tower steeply close by. The village itself has many charming and interesting features, with some great shops too. We visited the delicatessen for local produce and also enjoyed the ice creams they sell. We also recommend that you drive the Col d'Aubisque for stunning unforgettable views of the mountains. Then perhaps visit the Petit Train d'Artouste, a fabulous train ride that clings to the side of the mountains and ends up at the Lac d'Artouste.
(Translated by Google) More than a tourist office, great exhibition on life in this valley. Very friendly welcome with explanations. If you want to visit the chapel next to the old sanatorium you have to ask the union, very beautiful chapel which is worth stopping there. Relaxing and lively valley.
(Translated by Google) Very welcoming staff, very nice exhibition to see for young and old to understand the fauna and flora of the area. (Original) Personnel très accueillant, exposition très sympa à voir pour petits et grands pour comprendre la faune et la flore du coin.
(Translated by Google) Quite interesting exhibition. Very warm welcome, and good information. But above all, to do by reserving on site or by telephone, the outing meeting with the marmots. A beautiful, long 3-hour walk in the mountains, with a super friendly guide who shows us the environment, the plants, the trails and the surrounding mountains. Without forgetting the marmots which, even if they are not visible too much, are visible from afar and through my telescope brought by the guide. In short, a must-do for young and old.
(Translated by Google) Very warm welcome. Good advice. Hikes organized by the tourist office. Possibility of reserving tickets for the Pic du Midi. (Original) Très bon accueil.Bon conseils.Randonnées organisées par l’office de tourisme.Possibilité de réserver les billets pour le pic du midi.
(Translated by Google) Welcome and visit the place and the exhibition and ask for local walks (Original) Bon accueil et visiter le lieu et l exposition et demander les balades du coin
