Magical place dedicated to the preservation of Europe’s southernmost concentration of beech trees. Internet reservation us required although some day passes are available on the day at a nerby interpretation center. A must for any nature lover or photographer.
Totally worth booking a trip to Hayedo de Montejo! Walking with the local guide was a great experience—learning about the different types of lichens and moss was fascinating. I had no idea that a lichen is actually a type of algae! Nature never ceases to amaze me.
Very nice place to be in Automn. Best time to go in firat week of November
The southernmost beech tree range in Spain. Worth the visit not only because it is unique tree for the whole region but to pass 1h with a professional guide that will explain everything about the flora.
Very beautiful! It's difficult to get a booking because tickets sell out quickly. The visit is free and it includes a local guide who walks with you the entire tour and gives you explanations about the forest. There is parking available.
Un sitio increíble. An amazing place to visit in Autumn with kids.
Very nice natural park. Limited number of visitors per day and very good guided visits. Specially beautiful in Fall.
Amazing Unesco Natural Heritage Site, just a few kilometers away from Madrid. Without previous reservation you should be there around 7:30AM if you wanna get a ticket. But it is totally recommended.

Excellent, full of flavor. Great service, smiling, helpful ladies. We came for a whole week and to our surprise they don't work all week. So remember, you'll be standing in line for a long time and stockpile. It's worth it. Be early so you have a choice. Everything moves quickly. You can pay by card, for which we thanked the heavens.
Nice products served by very friendly people. You can find different pastries and a good variety of pies. A must-visit place if you are in the area.
(Translated by Google) A village bakery, with spectacular, high-quality products. We found it by chance and bought some things to try. They have freshly made empanadas, delicious, buns, sponge cake, etc. But the most delicious thing for me, some truffle muffins, they are delicious. We will return without a doubt.
(Translated by Google) Today I was passing through there and I got amazing ones, truffled muffins, palmeritas, empanada... all incredibly delicious and the service was great. (Translated by Google) It's been a long time since I've been somewhere that has everything. We went to buy bread and left with everything the bakery has. There were five of us, and each of us bought a bag of things. The staff couldn't have been nicer; they explained everything, let you try everything, and even recommended things to do in the area. Everything was delicious, and you could even take things home with you, and they'd tell you how long it would last or how to store it. Everything was freshly made, and they gave you cutlery, napkins, and whatever else you needed if you wanted to eat it somewhere else.

(Translated by Google) Hi, we were passing through Montejo and stopped at Nani's bakery, which is so famous! The apple pie is super good, the homemade cakes are also very good, but the donuts... they are the same ones from Mercadona that they sell loose and wrapped, they have removed the wrapping and are now for sale! I have eaten the ones from Mercadona, which are delicious, and to my surprise, when I tried them, I saw that they were the same! Homemade donuts do not all come out the same, perfect, gentlemen! We are not from a small town, but we are not stupid either... 🤣 This detail left a lot to be desired.

New and well designed visitor center. The stuff is helpful and willing to explain details about the Biosphere region Hayedo de Montejo.
(Translated by Google) Office to collect passes to visit the Hayedo de Montejo, which can only be done this way and on a guided tour. A little further ahead of this Center on the same road (about 200m) there is a fairly large free parking lot. The passes are obtained by lottery by requesting them through the Rincón Reserve website, although they leave a small number available to pick up in person by going to this Center; but they tell us that to get it you have to go very early, they say that at 8 in the morning there can already be people queuing in season, so going without a pass hoping to obtain it this way is a significant risk. It is the price you will pay to protect this Biosphere Reserve. And keep in mind that from this center you have about 15 minutes by road to the Interpretation Center, where the Senda del Río begins, where there is also very little parking space (barely for 6 or 8 cars) and that there are no toilets once you leave Montejo de la Sierra towards El Hayedo (Original) Oficina para la recogida de los pases para visitar el Hayedo de Montejo lo que solo es posible hacer de este modo y en visita guiada.
(Translated by Google) Limiting the review only and exclusively to the Information Center, I can say that there are no complaints about the staff, as they are informative and friendly, if not about the regulations. The access system does not make sense. Go online for a few days and by raffle??? I can accept it. In-person pass that you travel from other regions to gamble on the trip???...I cannot accept that. I also do not accept spending the cold today from 8:30 a.m. to secure a pass, with opening at 9:30 a.m. and tour at 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m....that is playing with people. Pase On line unos días y por sorteo???

We went with a guide and it became more enjoyable with his curiosities about the beech trees. The visit is done in 1 hour. Close to beautiful towns to visit later.
