Stunning beach. 20-min walk from Galdana via Cami de cavalls (park on the east side for quick access to the trail). Not many people in the morning, and no facility, so fairly unspoiled.
This morning we did a “free excursion” : select somewhere you would like to go, get up early and be there before everybody else. Be back home before the majority of the people wake up. We selected Cala Mitjana. We were not the very first people on the beach. But we were there early 😃. From a distance the water and beach look very beautiful. But to be honest … the closer you get, the less beautiful it is. The beach is pretty small and a large portion is covered in weed. It smells bad. And there are many many flies. I would not recommend it for a day swimming. There are nicer beaches in the area. The surrounding is beautiful though …
30-minute hike to get there. The water was full of a green gooey substance that I assume was caused by the rain of the previous day. It looked like some boat fuel residue
Cala Mutjana is a nice area in menorca Spain. We parked at a parking lot and walked to the beach. The walk to the beach felt more like a hike but very nice path way. The path was natural rocks and dirt with beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea along the way. The hike was not too difficult we did it with my 2 year old niece but went slow and took our time. The beach here was a decent size not too big but wasn’t too small either. The beach has nice soft white sand and wasn’t too busy. The water of the Mediterranean Sea here is a beautiful turquoise blue and clean.
Beautiful Cala but very busy, long walk from carpark but is an easy walk. Hoping to see it when is not as full
Great place in the evening. Very beautiful bay and big, in summer maybe also full. My photos are from mid november and we were the only ones. It’s a longer walk through the forest but also really nice.
This beach is so beautiful 😍 during day is super crowded, but around sunset you can find thete very few people (>5). It is also possible to sleep on that beach in slippag. If you don't put your tent noone will mind, but weather usually is so wonderful that you really don't need a tent.
We went to Cala Mijtana on Saturday and had a great day. You park in a carpark just off the main road. And follow the signs and footpath down to Cala Mijtana. It takes around 15-20 mins depending on the speed of your walking. The walk is fairly easy. The beach has a little bit of shade on the edges. And there is a walk up a slight incline to get to another more remote beach. We got these photos from a section of that walk.

The view is absolutely stunning especially if you come out of tourist season when there are not people in the sea. It was windy but we spend some time just admiring at the beauty. The blue colour of the water is just incredible especially for a European destination.
This observation deck has a grate view of the Mediterranean Sea and it’s turquoise water. It is directly above a beach that has nice soft sand and is a short walk from parking. It is also a great spot to watch a sunset or get some grate photos.
It's worth climbing over 200 steps to admire the views from this place. Great views, tranquility, and peace.
Amazing view of Cala Galdana
Beautiful viewpoint with a clear view of the sea
If you visit Cala Galeana definitely this is a must. Beautiful panorama. In clear days you can spot Majorca island too. From the road leading to the Mirador, about 350m before it, on the left departs the path to the cosy bay and beach of Cala Mitjana. A 15' - 20' easy walk.
Very nice Grab mask, snorkeling here is amazing
Great views and not that hard to get there on foot, if you’re up to the exercise.

Picturesque island & holiday spot known for numerous beaches, a quaint capital & a laid-back vibe.

Best place to visit for a short to long stay. Excellent beaches pure white sand and clear blue water.
Menorca – The Quiet Rebel of the Balearics Menorca is the low-key sibling of Mallorca and Ibiza – an island where almost nothing happens, and that’s exactly the charm. The vibe is laid-back, a bit pensioner chic, and perfect if your idea of excitement is hearing birds instead of bass drops. The beaches? Absolutely stunning. Crystal-clear water, peaceful coves, and – best of all – way less crowd than the other Balearics. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, your phone stays in your pocket, and your blood pressure finally chills
The Osprey Minorca hotel Was wonderful. Minorca is so nice and easy. There are beautiful beaches and caves to swim in. This is the lesser known of the islands and I will always go back here! The water is a beautiful clear blue and green.
1st time in menorca, we stayed in de'arneal. Nice and reasonably quiet, the hotel been right on the beach with a bay area that I've never seen before. The water was extremely clean for a beach with the bluest water. The hotel aquamania has alot for the kids but it has to as your out in the sticks and a bus or taxi journey to the nearest city centre. Taxi's are readily available, we ate at the Chinese restaurant round the corner from the hotel. I ordered 2 Taxi's and they were there waiting within 3 minutes so been from england that baffled me just how quick they were. All round the hotel is good, not the cleanest but definitely a decent hotel with alot of stuff to do with the kids, 2 pools plus a baby pool and also an only adult pool. Play park, mini golf, arcades etc..
Menorca is a island in Spain on the Mediterranean Sea and is a part of the Balearic Islands. You can get too and from Menorca by plane or boat. The island also has many attractions to see and do from relaxing on its many and taking in the beauty of the beautiful turquoise water of the Mediterranean to hiking shopping site seeing sailing and more. Some of my favourite attractions and things to do so far on my trips here have been taking in the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea from around the area near Comitas Tramontana Hotel it has some of the most amazing views on the island and any where. The area also some grate walking spots and a hiking spot that is a bit of an adventure but my niece who is 2 did it. Binibeca is a great tourist town that has shops restaurants bars and some pretty cool walk ways around town. The town is pretty much all white. The Fortress is another place that is very cool and it has a lot of history of Spain here and is very historic. I recommend you have a lot of time to see this fort it is very large and can take a few hours to most of a day depending on how quick you walk. There is many cool attractions inside the fort from tunnels to historic guns and tanks and beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea just to name a few things. The city and port of Cuitadella is also a neat place and has a cool feeling to it. These are a few things that I have enjoyed. Menorca is an island that is up and coming and is most busy during tourist season from about may to September
Beautiful - but be careful if you think you can cycle around the island on the bridle paths. They can be very tricky and narrow. I would only recommend it if you are a serious mountain biker. And make sure you have a good map of the routes. Many people I met on the longer routes asked for directions and distances and were often surprised at how far they had to go and there's lots of side roads and paths that seem to be signalled on the maps but say 'privada' so it's unsure whether you can use these or not.
Absolutely magical on this hidden paradise among the Balearic island. An island full of authenticity and its identity. The people here are what makes his a magical place. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I did’t have one bad moment here comparing when when I was in Italy. It is very relaxing, serene, and charming everywhere we go. We came here with a direct flight from Nantes. It only took us 1.5 hours to arrive in paradise. How convenient! Everything is well organized on the island. Tons of restaurants to choses from either inside or along the coast. The food is amazing here. I can’t wait to come back with the whole family and stay a few weeks here.
Fab place to go to when you have got family. Lovely little island where you can just sit and relax. Enjoyed it there, for my first time going to Minorca. Lots of tourists attractions, visited lots of places, and the people are lovely. Hope this has helped and i hope you enjoy your time there.😀

We took a 3.5 hour tour which has two stops and visits most of the bays around Cala Gardana. It was a 12 person boat and price is €80pp. Probably the upper end of the scale for this sort of thing at peak season. You might be able to get on for €60 with some if the other tours for a similar thing but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Juan Manuel took is out and was excellent with our youngest child. And eldest parent. Was well worth it. Drinks and snacks provided. Weather was excellent. Have seen some reviews complaining about choppy seas/cancellation but we were told told about this before booking.
Second time we have used Alex, would have used him last time too but he wasn’t running the week we visited. This time Josef took us out and again did not disappoint. Excellent friendly service as usual. Highly recommend a trip out.
We had a great trip! The scenery is beautiful and the captain was helpful and had lots of information.
Very rude, snappy aggressive skipper or owner(not sure who he was), the one we met to see us to the boat. Definitely don’t recommend it, there are others much more professional and warm. Quite sketchy about money too, pressurizing you to pay cash, very annoying when you ask to pay card.
Highly recommend this boat for anyone looking for a fun day out in Menorca! We went with a big group and Captain Jose was so friendly and welcoming. Our coordinator Alex was great to work with. Would love to go again!
To give everyone some context, we have booked this activity online on Get your Guide, everything paid and we were ready; later on in the evening, the owner called us to say that if we will pay cash on the day we will get a 10% discount, stupidly we agreed thinking we will support a small business and we will help them to not be charged the extra money by Get your Guide and also we will pay slightly less. The day of the activity, we could not find any parking in the whole Cala Galdana, we have looked for 45 minutes unable to find parking, at 14:10, he called us to ask where are we, we have explained that we cannot find any parking so he said “come to me and I will help you park”, so we went, he literally parked our car on a crossing, he said it will be fine there, we didn’t feel safe to leave our car there and we expressed our concerns but he didn’t seem to care to much, the other red flag was that he agreed on WhatsApp that we can pay card as well as we didn’t have any cash but surprise surprise today he was very insistent to walk with us to the cashpoint and withdraw money which seemed a bit desperate and we didn’t appreciate that as we are 2 women with 2 children. From there is where the situation took a turn as he would not take “no” for an answer, we said sorry but we cannot pay cash, we don’t want to leave our car on a pedestrian crossing, and walked to our car, he followed us, he was shouting to us that he is calling the police to what we said you cannot do that, you have no grounds and he opened the door violently and tried to snatch the car keys, that’s when I riposted and he hurt my arm and hand. I would not recommend, please avoid. He goes by the name of Alex and the company is Menorquina charter. Very unprofessional and very aggressive, to assault a woman. Just don’t use them. You don’t deserve even the 1 star.
The boat trip is incredible. Amazing views, great little aperitivo, and fun vibes. Captain Jose was so kind and accommodating and Skipper Alex was an excellent organizer and ensured we were properly taken care of. Él es lo más guapo en todo de la isla también 😉 Would highly recommend the whole experience.
Very nice and well organized trip! We had a great Captain called Jose! I heartily recommend this trip to everyone.
