Highly recommend. Lots of different reptiles. They take 3 different animals out every hour and do a show and tell. You can touch the animal if you like and ask questions. Very friendly, kids loved it .

Came here for me and my girlfriends anniversary. Lovely little Zoo with lots of animals to keep the kids entertained. The staff we're lovely and helpful. There is a area where the staff get some of the animals out to explain what they are and allow the guest to touch them. Definitely would come again.

Went here on a rainy day with the kids. They absolutely loved it. The keepers were very friendly. There was an interactive talk every hour with 3 different animals on display and this was reqlly well presented by enthusiastic staff with good time for q&a from the kids.

Lovely little place to spend a hour with the kids. It’s small so nice for little kids. Lots of reptiles and hands on experiences a few times during the day. We were there early so we enjoyed a quiet session with a very knowledgeable young girl, our little boy even got to touch the reptiles (snake, Gecko and a turtle). We had a voucher so it worked out really good value. 👍🏻

Staff are super friendly. The second you walk in you feel as if you are in an exotic location!! Animals are very well looked after. You’d spend maybe 45 here

Very interesting ruin of a church that was destroyed by Cromwell on his way to Kilkenny. Excellent explanations were provided by the knowledgeable tour guide Mark, who clearly enjoyed his work. Well worth a visit!

A hidden treasure! We passed by it on the car by pure chance, but decided to go back and check it out. Definitely worth it! As another reviewer says, they should advertise this more! We were greeted by a very friendly host who offered a free tour of the place. The interior has plenty of historic things worth looking at and learning about, too, it's not just a "ruin".

I Recommend taking the tour with a guide. The history of the Gowran is very interesting.

No line-ups, no entrance fees, just stroll around the grounds at your leisure and admire the eerie graciousness. ⠀

Was staying nearby in Borris and found this adorable shop to stop for coffee on our way to Kilkenny. They sell lovely jams and other pantry foods, as well as pastries, etc. I unfortunately got hit by a car just outside, crossing over from the old church. The lovely shop-keep first got me some water, and then brought me some tea and chocolate cake to help with the shock. Both were very nice, even under unfortunate circumstances. If you're reading this, thank you again. You were very sweet, and I am mostly fine 2 weeks later. My travel mates got coffee and some artisan goods to bring home, which they enjoyed. I never got my coffee, but I guess that just means I'll have to go back! I'll make sure to pause, look both ways, and proceed with caution next time.

This little gem of a shop is enroute to my mam's home! It's simply a haven of delightful home made cakes, rolls and fantastic coffee! The white chocolate and raspberry Madeira cake is sublime!🎂🍫🍰

This is a magical little haven. Great great food. Fresh and local and everything you need. When outside the city find what you need in this little gem. The staff are lovely and so helpful.

This is a divine shop, deli and cafe. There is somehow such a variety of the most delicious and highly prized Irish goods in such a small shop, but it all works and looks great! Everything from Sea Kale to Turkish Delight. And amazing coffee and sambos to go too. If you only have one pit stop in the area make it Glasrai and Goodies. We often have a picnic of their sandwiches and cakes in the abbey across the road. Perfect.

Stopped in at 4pm today strict social distancing .A gorgeous friendly girl who made us 2 fresh homemade rolls with delicious fillings .Tea Latte and bought their Lemon drizzle cake to takeaway .Fabulous shop packed with amazing goodies .A warm welcome delicious homemade food .Enjoyed every morsel .Thank you for doing what you do .A five star experience .We were passing through attending a funeral .Thank you .Kathryn & Ollie Laois .
