I ate here (I didn't use the hotel) it was a really pleasant experience, the view of the valley was gorgeous, and the hiking possibilities around are endless. The food was super tasty, although the choices were quite limited. The waiters were really friendly, overall great place, if you want to hike in the surrounding mountains, then you should dine here.
We were told about this from our Llama guide and we are so glad he did. The chair lift up the mountain was fun and the views were amazing. A little fire outside greeted us and the views from the deck can’t be beat. and it exceeded our expectations. We had the Waygu sausage and the Waygu Burger. Chef Claudio is a little genius! That burger had EVERYTHING on it and the flavors melded perfectly. Dare I say it was the best burger I ever had?! Nice touch of the Chef, coming out to talk to each table. A little pricey but not surprising based on the food quality and venue. The fries were crispy and well seasoned!
The worst place with a disrespectful owner and I totally don’t recommend coming to this place :) I invite the owner to come to Dubai to learn how to respect people and train himself very well in dealing with customers. Shameful behavior from the owner! Let me share my exact experience: We were a large family consisting of 15 adults and children (5 small families) and each will pay bill separately which means we have the right to sit on 5 different tables and no one should stop us from doing this. The owner/ manager and the waitress came twice (2 seconds apart) to say that it’s not allowed to sit in so many tables “it’s not good” as said. Noting that half of indoor seats were empty at that time. Later the same owner/manager came by sudden and pulled the yogurt from my mother’s hand while she was eating without a prior notice and he was shouting! I stopped him from being so rude with customers and he neither wanted to listen nor speak in English (he was shouting and speaking in his language and kept kicking the wall with his legs) He didn’t want to listen nor speak with me when I discussed the issue and told him that this is not good to treat your customers this way. He never apologized and kept shouting then hiding in the kitchen to avoid discussion which was weird actually. And just replying to the owner rude answer in this thread: “My home country restaurants are so polite when dealing with customers and if food is not allowed, they will come and speak politely with the customer not shouting in front of everyone as we are not slaves! Check your behavior next time when you speak with people. Shame on you once again”
Beautiful view. Disappointed because we arrived an hour before closing and the kitchen was already closed. It doesn’t say anywhere that the kitchen closes early. Also, we had seen in many of the comments that there’s an area where kids can play and there’s a trampoline. That area was closed and there’s no trampoline anymore.
We came to hike, but poor weather rolled in and limited our ability to complete it. The staff was very kind and helpful- with a little Google translate the English-German barrier was overcome. A special thanks for warm drinks and wise guidance - especially Philip and Andrea!!!
Excellent place for a day-trip. Beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. It can be used as a starting point for hiking. The restaurant has a bit above average prices. Friendly staff. Clean toilet. Last chair lift to go down to Malbun is leaving 5pm during summer schedule.
Absurd experience…took the chair lift (which it appears exists for the sole purpose of visiting this restaurant) up to the restaurant. Was there about an hour before closing. There was a big group there having drinks and appetizers, and then several tables eating inside. We asked a waitress if we could get drinks and sit outside for a bit. She said they were closed…(what??). I asked one more person, who told me they were too busy. So are you closed or are you too busy? Also, we wanted a beer and a glass of wine to sit outside by the bit. “Serving” us would have taken about 30 seconds. If you are going to have a chairlift that costs 16CHF that exists pretty much just to take you to the restaurant, then you really shouldn’t be turning people away an hour before closing that want nothing more than a quick drink. Absurd service.
Came here over 30 mins before closing just to have a drink on the patio and was told no they were closed. There were about 15 people on the patio having wine and a few tables of people in the restaurant still eating but we were not allowed to have a drink on the patio. Terrible customer service.
