My wife and I married in Ballintubbert on the bank holiday weekend of June 2024. It's hard to put into words how incredible our whole weekend was. We arrived at our wedding party on Friday and stayed until Monday. Beautiful weather supports this venue and that's the risk you take. Thankfully, we're blessed with incredible weather for the weekend (especially the ceremony ..phew). I've nothing but good things to say about the whole experience. The team makes you feel at home while also caring for every need. The venue itself allows you to customise everything to your taste, and speaking of taste, we used the Gourmet Kitchen, which Ballintubbert recommended. We also used Bosco's catting for lunch on Friday while we set up the venue. A lot of guests commented that they felt like they were on holiday themselves, as it allowed them to be in nature, unwind and enjoy the perks of being in the Irish countryside. My wife and I both wish we could do it all over again. One thing I will note that we didn't spot was that if you have non-resident wedding guests, they will be kicked off the property around 1:30/2 am. This was unfortunate for the few who were geared up for a long night. Overall, 10/10 venue. We couldn't recommend it enough
Really enjoyed this very special event. Couldn’t help but notice the attention to details in every aspect from beautiful natural flower arrangements, water stations, right down to the loos and even the tents flooring. The setting was just superb and the hosting was so welcoming and relaxed. Will come again.
We hosted our wedding in Ballintubbert in July 2024. The venue was exactly what we were looking for – rustic and relaxed but with a sense of luxury, a place for family to spend time together and somewhere that guests felt they were escaping the real world for a day - a challenging combination to find. We knew we were taking a big risk with the weather as the venue is best set up for dry weather. However, despite its best efforts to hide away all summer, the sun was with us for the day and Ballintubbert House and its gardens were the star of the show. We had everything we dreamed of from the ceremony in the fountain garden to the drinks and speeches in the orchard and the campfire at the end of the night. The Gourmet Kitchen provided all the food and our guests were raving about it for weeks afterwards. Having the bar in the marquee, right beside the dancefloor meant the dance floor was hopping all night (plus our insanely good bad Superfly played awesome tunes) Again, had the weather been different, having no seating away from the music would have been more challenging…with dry, warm weather, our guests could sit outside by the log fires for a break from the music. The venue is best suited to a couple that are happy to be hands on with many DIY elements of their big day as there is less structure and support provided than there might be in a traditional venue – menus, table name holders, buses for guests etc. Once we arrived, the staff made us feel like it was our home for the weekend so I suppose that is the trade off to a hotel style service. We have so many happy memories of our wedding day and they are made so much more colourful and joyful because of the amazing Ballintubbert Gardens and House.
Attended a wedding here and stayed in the yurt village. It was absolutely perfect! Emily was so lovely and sent a video of the yurt ahead of time so that we could see the set up. It was better than we could have expected. The food and all the staff were amazing. We didn't want to leave. I also left my jacket behind and they kindly posted it to me right away. Really couldn't have had a better experience.
We rented Ballintubbert House for a New Years getaway with a large group of friends and the house exceeded our expectations. Cosy living rooms with real fires, a kitchen/dining space perfect for big group dinners and the most incredible grounds perfect for the younger members of our group to explore. The bedrooms were beautiful and the beds incredibly comfortable. Bronywn on the team was so helpful in coordinating our trip and made the organisation seamless. We hope to return in the future!
A spectacular gem of a wedding venue! Steeped in history Ballintubbert is one of my all time favourite venues in Ireland to photograph weddings. The staff are exceptional and there isn’t quite anywhere else like it.
My extended family and I rented the house for a long weekend back in Oct 2022. We had a wonderful time, the house was immaculate upon arrival, really spacious for our large group - especially the dining room that comfortably fit us all (13 adults and 2 kids) and the gardens were great to explore during the day. Would absolutely recommend!
Amazing venue, this was one of the best weddings I've been to! The grounds are so picturesque for everyone wearing their best. The meal was lovely and the setup at the fountain for the ceremony was just beautiful!!

We brought a group of 10 here, mix of adults and kids, all had a great time. The organizer's who helped us out we're top notch and really looked after the kids. Great customer service from them. Would have no hesitation in recommending them for other events/parties and can't wait to return for more splatball.

Great experience again this year , our third year in a row. The steam engine display my 4 year old loves the engines . Staff, train ride and over all presentation is top notch . Thanks to all the volunteers who keep it going .
This was our 2nd time here & it didn’t disappoint. So much fun & everyone was just lovely. ❤️🥰 really lovely experience.
It was a fabulous day out with my nephews. Santa was great so personal and all the staff were very friendly. We travelled from Waterford for this experience and it was well worth the trip and we topped it off by having food in Stradbally Fayre which was also fantastic
Fantastic day out at the Santa Experience. Staff are great. They go above and beyond. Worth every penny, great value for money. Lovely hot chocolate had while waiting to see the main man himself. My son had a ball. Would highly recommend.
Totally enjoyable experience. So different! Once you buy your ticket you can ride on the train as many times as you wish that day. Each journey is approximately 10mins long. See if you can spot some gnomes on the way! Fantastic staff and considering it is placed in the forest, fantastic baby changing room. It is open spring / summer Bank Holidays and some chosen Sundays. On the other side of the village there is a really good playground for older kids. Bring your lunch to use the playground's picnic benches!
We all went here yesterday and I was a bit disappointed about the time the train ride lasted but when we were told that you can ride on it as many times as you like that changed everything fist time we came here and we will be definitely coming back again it's a pity that we live to far away as I would be a volunteer for them all the staff were very helpful and answered all the questions we asked and we were allowed on to the footplate of the engine well done to everyone and keep up all the hard work you do
We did not have a good experience at all for the Christmas train. I wouldn't recommend it. Very poor standard for the cost. I wrote a long complaint and was told that it was for charity and that everyone was a volunteer. I appreciate that but don't charge a high price to parents and let them donate on the day because it's not fair. Don't advertise it as a magical experience when it's far from the truth. Very disappointed. Cannot recommend it.
Great experience with my 3 year old, she loved it. The first Santa she was willing to chat to, he was great. Very friendly staff too, loads of characters she could interact with
