A really nice landscape. The gardens are really well kept and lovely buildings and outhouses kept in the woods and along the river. We spent a good few hours here wondering around the multiple paths. Highlight recommend going. The bonuses is the free entry if you're already national trust members. Lovely breakfast in the tea room 😋
If you don’t visit this garden you will have missed one of the loveliest gardens in Wales. Meander round the well kept paths to see so many WOWS! The gardening team have worked their magic in so many ways. The design is spectacular and the plants are labelled in case you want to include them in your garden at home. Some amazingly old trees looking grand. Well worth a visit.
Absolutely fantastic place! Brilliant walks for all ages and abilities! Wheelchair friendly, plenty of benches dotted around the gardens to catch very point of view or just for a rest. Magnificent range of flowers, plants, fungi and trees! Was also great to see the uks biggest trees which are situated here, all posted so they're are easy to spot. Will definitely be returning!
Fantastic place! So much to see, absolutely beautiful gardens, good facilities and plenty of space for picnics, the ponds and water falls are stunning, the scenery are breathtaking. There is also a well stocked up gift shop and a lovely cafe. Would highly recommend and love to visit again. Thank you 😊
This is a wonderful place.🌞 Everything is magnificent! The staff is friendly and helpful, the paths are well-kept and clean, the sculptures and buildings are beautiful.🔥 And of course, the garden is incredibly beautiful, especially in the fall. 🥰The leaves are a wide variety of shades, from yellow to fiery red. And the flowers continue to bloom in the fall. I was deeply impressed by my visit. This walk in the fresh air will remain in my heart forever. I will definitely come back.❤️
Visited recently during the summertime. The garden is huge and has lots to offer - an amazing variety of trees species and different plants, also a variety of birds chirping. The terraces are lovely, and the walk alongside the river is especially beautiful, with some small waterfalls and bridges. Lots of pathways making it easy to just get lost in nature and really enjoy the surroundings. A great day out. Don’t forget to plan which day you’re coming if visiting with pets - currently they are dog friendly only on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays!
This has to be the most gorgeous National Trust site in all of Wales. It's so pretty with lots of birds and wildlife, trees and flowers, river, lakes and waterfalls. The house is stunning but it is privately owned so no access. The rose garden and pond are stunning. We saved many baby frogs on the pathway along the river. There is a lovely art shop, cafe and garden centre at the end. I will definitely be going again!
Fabulous. I have never seen a finer garden so lovingly cared for. Plants and trees and flowers of all species, healthy and happy in the morning sunshine. I only wish we'd had more time. Lovely nursery, gift shop, and food available. Easy in and out. Helpful staff. A must see!

A lovely place we staff went out of there way to help me with my purchases. Very narrow customer areas but we all managed by a common sense passing place system. In other words customers used their initiative. Products of a good quality, creative and interesting. I did not get up to the top story. So still quite a bit to investigate on my next visit. Loved It!
Craft centre really good and lady working there very helpful and welcoming - access would be poor for wheelchair users- I managed fine with crutches - cafe ok
Smaller than I expected but great stuff there
Fabulous, place. Great art upstairs!
Lots of small shops and garden centre. Not much in cafe

I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at Bodnant Welsh Food. I cannot recommend this venue enough! Olivia was our wedding coordinator and right from viewing to booking and planning she was incredibly supportive. She even arranged for us to have our wedding pictures taken at Bodnant Gardens which was magical. The venue is outstanding with a view of the River Conwy, the farmhouse feel and decor of the Hayloft is so lovely. Ebony was the coordinator on the wedding day and she was amazing, everything went smoothly. The food is great with local produce being used and the staff are friendly. I can't thank Olivia, Ebony and the rest of the staff enough for such a great wedding experience!
Really nice farm shop and cafe. The quality and choice is great and the selection of local cheeses, chutneys and meats is good. Some stunning views across the estery as well. The cafe was very nice and good quality food was served. Only downside, it is slightly expensive but as a one off don't mind due to the quality.
We (my doggie and me) stayed at the Bodnant Welsh Food centre farmhouse B&B at the beginning of September 2025. Was very surprised at what is actually available on site. I expected just the B&B - turns out there is a Cookery School, a Farm Shop, lovely day-cafe called the Furnace, and the restaurant The Hayloft. As the B&B is slightly off the beaten-track (15 minutes drive to Llandudno) and not exactly in a village - having both a cafe and a restaurant on site, meant that we didn't have to worry about where to get some lunch or dinner. Speaking of lunch and dinner - the food was absolutely delicious at the Hayloft - the space is very well dressed up, and the ambience is relaxing, comfortable, yet trendy. Huge bonus for the fact that both the cafe and the restaurant are dog friendly, so I didn't have to leave my pooch in the room. The place could do with some improved signs on the main road - I think it misses out on passing traffic as the signs that are there are too small, too close to the turn of the road, and do not actually advertise what is available on site. Lost opportunity. I had no idea what was there until I arrived. Anyway, I can definitely recommend staying at the B&B, and the food at the cafe and the restaurant. Well worth the visit, well worth the detour. It's actually only 15 mins - maybe less from the A55 - if you're on your way further into Wales, this is the place to stop for a break. Worth it.
First time visit at Bodnant Welsh foods / Cafe. Lovely little place. Access for wheelchairs aswell at the cafe with a ramp walkway. Staff lovely and friendly and happy in the shop and cafe. Had a lovely cappuccino and millionaires shortbread. Stunning views.
Consistently excellent! Great service, fab location overlooking the River Conwy and absolutely delicious food! Stay in the rooms here, great value for a lovely peaceful stay! Sunday Roasts are excellent! Farm shop is lovely!
This was my second visit to the artisan market here, the site is great and busy the staff were excellent and we had coffee the stalls were all amazing and managed to find a cutting board for the van and a few other quirky bits.
This is a beautiful farm shop with lots of unusual products that make for great souvenirs or gifts. It's expensive, though, so even though there is a butcherie and fresh produce, I'm not sure it would be practical or affordable to shop here regularly. That said, at the time of this review, there is an excellent choice of wines and spirits and a small coffee stand selling cakes, but gluten-free options are quite limited, unfortunately. Telephone before you travel as the opening times keep changing and nobody can be bothered to add them to their website.
This is a beautiful farm shop with lots of unusual products that make for great souvenirs or gifts. Inside is a butcherie which sells a great variety of meat and also fresh produce is available. The quality and choice is great and the selection of local cheeses, chutneys and meats is good. Also there is excellent choice of wines and spirits many more.
