Very beautiful place. Lot of parking. People are very respectful. Must go there. Bring your food. Nice picnic spot. When it's sunny the views are very nice.
Loved it! It was very windy but that made it even funnier when we tried to go to the top. Once you've reached the top of Sugarloaf Hill and walk towards Knockmealdown Mountains, the path is very easy. We had rain every so often but it was bearable. We only got to go in the morning but I'm sure the sunset from those mountains would be amazing!
A great hike, takes around 5 hours round trip (we did 3 peaks). It's very windy at the top so make sure you dress accordingly. There are patches where there's loose rocks. Especially during the first 30-45 mins of the hike (which is the hardest to be fair) You also come down the same patch (at least the first 200m which can be tricky) so appropriate footwear is also something that should be taken into account. Definitely fun to do though. Would recommend!
Amazing views from these stunning mountains. Offers a good range of hikes and walks for experienced and novice hikers.
This was more challenging than expected. The ascent from Vee parking lot is rapid and arduous. But pretty cool when you reach the top! Climbed in early February and the reviews are accurate: it was VERY windy and chilly. Unfortunately on the day we climbed, it was cloudy and there were few views. But on the descent, we did get some breaks in the clouds. You can travel down the same path you took up, or break off to the left before re-ascending Sugarloaf, for an easier descent. Altogether, it was a great hike!
Challenging hike up the gully, can be very windy and cold in winter. Have to climb the sugarloaf to complete the task, lots of super walking/hiking in the mountains.
A great place! The view from the mountains is just amazing. You can see so far when it's sunny and clear weather. You can see plenty of sheep around.
Medium grade. Choice of track or not. Sensible hill walking gear is a must as weather can change suddenly

Beautiful views. Great option of hiking trails from the Bay Lough car park. The Vee Valley loop was our choice.
I always knew this place will be amazing just by checking on maps and reading others review.. however it still blew my minds..The absolute grand view, spreading almost 270 degrees beneath you.. suddenly fills you with a sense of being omnipotent, like an all powerful entity appreciating your own creation and marvelling at its beauty!!.. I will definitely recommend sitting on the perch, in absolute silence and let your senses absorb it all 😊.. it will be therapeutic..
The Vee Pass in County Tipperary, Ireland, is a stunning mountain route through the Knockmealdown Mountains. Known for its dramatic V-shaped bend, it offers breathtaking views of the Golden Vale and Bay Lough. At around 610 meters (2,000 feet) in elevation, it’s a favorite for scenic drives, hiking, and photography. The pass also holds historical significance with landmarks like Grubb’s Grave. An ideal destination for nature lovers and adventurers.
Not peak season yet, the views are still incredible even when the rhodendron are not blooming. The drive is not for the faint hearted with steep inclines to the side of the road though the sheep have no issues jumping up at the sides of the roads. Highly recommend planning ahead and bringing a picnic and exploring the trails in the area
It's a so nice place to visit. The hiking way is marked really well, so you won't get lost.
Please bring your camera and drone to capture high-quality photographs, as the road trip promises to be an enjoyable experience.
Lovely hike up to Sugarloaf and onto Knockmeltbown.

This stunning mountain pass offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, with rolling hills, sparkling lakes, and picturesque villages as far as the eye can see. There are plenty of parking spots and viewpoints along the way, allowing you to stop, take in the views, and snap some photos. For hikers and walkers, the Vee Pass offers numerous trails of varying difficulty, from gentle strolls to more challenging climbs.
