Best beach for stay, food and fun activities 🏖️
Beach is a perfect destination for families and kids. The beach is clean, peaceful, and less crowded, making it a great place to relax. Beach-facing stays are available, adding to the experience. The calm atmosphere and natural beauty make it an ideal getaway. Must visit with highly recommended!
Murud Beach is another wonderful coastal destination in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. This beach is known for its golden sands, gentle waves, and the historic Murud Janjira Fort situated just off the coast. Visitors can relax on the beach, take a boat ride to explore the fort, or indulge in water sports like parasailing and banana boat rides. It's a great place to unwind and soak in the beauty of the Arabian Sea.
Murud Beach is perfect if you're looking for a mix of relaxation and activity. It’s a wide, sandy beach with enough space to walk, play, or just chill by the waves. The water is usually clean, and the beach is well-maintained, especially near the main entrance areas. You’ll find decent washroom facilities close to the parking zones — they’re usable, though not always spotless. Getting here is simple via road; it’s well-connected from Alibaug and nearby towns. For stays, there are plenty of hotels and homestays nearby, ranging from budget to premium. Evenings get a bit lively with stalls, horse rides, and families enjoying themselves, so it’s not too quiet — but not overly crowded either. If you're planning a short beach getaway, Murud won't disappoint.
*Update : As tourism grows, ignorant tourists have started running the beach. Check my timelapse video to see the filth! Beautiful Beach with water sport activities available. This beach also is supposed to be the safest on the coast with no rocks and a long stretch which doesn't go deeper than 4 feet for quiet much distance. The village has its committee that cleans the beach regularly and thats why they charge daily toll to the tourists.
Clean beach, happy to see people respecting hygiene and not littering everywhere. Crowded: there are more people here as compared to other beaches of Dapoli. Water sports: not much, the waves do not support surfing Rides : Camel, horse cart, banana rides, boat rides, speed boat available here with average safety and hygiene standards. Food: saw many restaurants around the beach. Not so great option for full course meal but tea and snacks options are available. Parking: saw people parking at the beach. To avoid hustle, we parked about 50 meters before the beach in a resort parking (charged 100 rs per car)
This place is very awesome. We went to this beach from our cottage on karde beach in about 10 minutes. In Dapoli this beach is more crowded than any other beaches. You can perform water activities here like para sailing, banana ride, sofa ride. We went to this place at evening to watch sunset and it was awesome view. You can have variety of snacks at this beach. We eated kokan special ukdiche Modak and ghawan chatney at nearby stall. One thing I observed here is local people are very polite and friendly.
The beach is clean. There are water sports like a banana Ride , paragliding etc. You will get approximately all types of food. There are lots of space for leaving on rent.

Peaceful Beach with Fun Activities – A Must Visit! Ladghar Beach in Dapoli is a calm and clean spot, perfect for a relaxing getaway. You can enjoy horse rides, bike rides, and some tasty local food right by the shore. The sunset views here are absolutely stunning and not to be missed! There are also plenty of lodges and stays available nearby, making it a great place for an overnight trip. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those looking for a peaceful beach experience!
The beach is beautiful with less crowd. The problem is that the sand is black and, at times, polluted due to fishing boats oil discharge. The beach has lots of water sports activities compared to few years ago. The tanga ride is good. Moreover, the water is not deep and one can safely go little forwards. Unfortunately, no life guards despite so many tourists.
Ladghar Beach in Dapoli is a clean and beautiful beach with peaceful surroundings. It’s usually not crowded, which makes it perfect for a quiet and relaxing visit. The calm waves and scenic views, especially at sunset, are truly enjoyable. You can also enjoy horse and camel rides along the shore, adding a fun touch to your visit. Currently, the road leading directly to the beach is closed due to construction, so you’ll need to park your vehicle a little farther away and walk the rest of the distance. There aren’t any food stalls around, so it’s a good idea to carry your own snacks and water.
Tasty food, lovely view, and great service — perfect place to enjoy. Most imp is easy accessible to road and beach.
Ladghar Beach in Dapoli is a serene and clean destination, ideal for anyone looking to unwind by the sea. The calm atmosphere makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. What You Can Enjoy • Horse and Bike Rides: Fun activities available right on the beach. • Delicious Local Food: Taste fresh and authentic coastal dishes by the shore. • Beautiful Sunsets: The evening sky here is truly breathtaking—don’t miss it! Stay Options There are plenty of lodges and homestays close to the beach, making it a convenient spot for an overnight or weekend stay. Perfect For Nature lovers, families, couples, and anyone who wants a peaceful beach experience without the crowds. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable trip!
Good near cleaned beach maintained properly . Lots of home stays in front of the beach. Plan your foods in advance as lesser or no restaurants serve you as and when you needed . Hence rest is great
The Beach was really nice beyond my thinking, I have spent quality time with my family. Both of my sons enjoyed it a lot. We went for two days but my sons want one more extra day. Long and clean beach, rides are available like banana, octopus, jets, dolphins, etc..., we get to enjoy all types of sea foods when we go to spend some time near to sea. I would like to visit LADGHAR Beach again. Thanks for making our vacation enjoyable.

Karde Beach offers a serene and beautiful coastline, far from the usual tourist crowds. The long stretch of clean sand and calm waves make it perfect for long walks and peaceful evenings. It's relatively less commercialized, so you won’t find many shacks or flashy activities — just raw natural beauty. Homestays and small resorts nearby offer authentic local experiences. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quiet, refreshing beach holiday
I recently visited Karde Beach and it was a truly serene escape. The beach is clean and the waves are gentle, making it perfect for a walk with family. We enjoyed the tranquil vibes and the scenic backdrop. The weather was lovely, and even a simple cup of tea felt so special with such a great view. A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
Karde Beach: It’s calm and peaceful here. Not crowded, which makes it even more relaxing and perfect for morning walks. The clean shore, gentle waves, and soothing breeze make it a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy nature. 🌊🦀🐚🪼🌴☀️
Karde Beach is the kind of place where time seems to slow down. The shoreline is pristine, the waves are gentle, and the quietness all around makes it ideal for those who want to escape the rush of city life. With hardly any crowd, you can enjoy long, peaceful strolls along the sand while taking in the soft sea breeze and the natural beauty that surrounds you. A perfect spot to simply breathe, relax, and connect with the ocean. 🌊🌿🌅
Beautiful serene beach. The slope is gentle, and there are not many rocks. There are no beach shacks so carry your snacks. Access road is quite good and scenic.
Visited Karde Beach recently and found it to be one of the most serene and peaceful beaches on the Konkan coast. It’s uncrowded, clean, and perfect for family relaxation. The beach has a very gentle slope, remaining shallow for over a kilometre, making it safe and enjoyable for playing or wading in the water. However, we did notice some jellyfish-like organisms (possibly sea anemones) close to the shore (picture and video included). Unfortunately, one visitor got stung and had to be taken to a hospital, which is about 15 km away. So, while the beach is beautiful and tranquil, a little caution while entering the water is advisable. Overall, Karde Beach is an ideal spot for peaceful family time and nature lovers.
The beach is so scenic and beautiful, you can roam around there and relax.
Good silent beach. Great location. Mountains 🏔️ with beach 🏖️ a rare combination. Good beach for photography.

One of the most rare visited Mahadev temples. A walk for around 20- 30 minutes enough to get there. During Aarti, I got Balaji, Tirumala feels. The mystery behind the water falling from the Holy cow's mouth is still suspense. No one can reveal from where the water comes.
One of the must see spots around Dapoli. You can easily spend up to 3 hrs here. It's about a 30 min walk from the car parking lot. The terrain is a mix of steps and rough roads, both uphill and downhill. There are about 250 steps. A stream runs in the middle and you pass over the bridge.
It was so so beautiful to visit Shree Keshavraj Temple in Dapoli. It's a way a small trek with properly built steps towards the temple in between dense forest. The temple is of Lord Kehsvaraj an avatar of Lord Vishnu. The ambience is very quiet, calm and peaceful right between the forest ❤️
Beautiful scenic temple accessible via a short trek (20 mins one way). The route is parallel to a stream of water, there's a bridge to cross. Post monsoon it's lush green.
I heard lot but disappointed after visiting the temple. Paid Parking is available. Parking rate is Rs. 100/- per vehicle. Need to walk around 20 minutes from the parking. Person need to be physically fit to visit this temple. First you need to walk for around 5 minutes throughout the narrow kuttcha road. Then need to climb down around 100 steps, need to cross the river through bridge and then climb around 200 steps. The entire route is surrounded by supari trees. The people outside Konkan may feel this route as scenic but its a normal view at Konkan. The temple itself a small temple with Idol of Vishu named as Keshavraj. Overall, there are many beautiful temples in Kokan other than this temple.
This ancient temple is located in Asud village near Dapoli in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Keshavraj (also known as Dev Lakshmikant). According to tradition, this temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas around 4,500-5,000 years ago and is said to have been constructed in a single night. A natural spring that originates from the hilltop and flows through a stone-carved cow mouth (Gomukh) throughout the year The temple is situated on a small hill surrounded by lush greenery Visitors need to climb rocky steps to reach the main shrine. The idol of Lord Keshav (Vishnu) is made of black stone and holds the traditional four items: conch, discus, lotus, and mace
This place like a small trekking. Full of greenary around with the sound of water. Very nice.. I visited there in rainy season..
Beautiful temple tucked on the top of a mountain, you get 2 options take a riskha till a point and then walk up or walk up entirely from the base where there is parking for vehicles. It is a lovely place with a small hiking experience. Overall feels amazing to visit this place.

This is a private place by Mr Ganu open to public visit. This is a meditation center, dome, with sky painting in and out. Very neatly maintained surroundings. The statue of Parshuram on top of the dome is simply awesome.. Child friendly place. You need to follow traffic discipline to avoid traffic jams on the road as road is very narrow.
Parshuram Bhumi is a Beautifully Built Meditation Center near Dapoli in Maharashtra Dedicated to Lord Parshuram and is open to the Public, so it is a Very Popular Tourist Site. It has a Massive Dome within which is the place to Meditate. The Dome is constructed in such a way that even the Slightest Sound is Magnified several times, so even Walking Barefoot or Clicking your Fingers generates quite an Amplified Sound. It is a Great Place to Meditate in as well, as it is Very Clam and Quiet. Truly a Marvel of Design & Construction and surely a Must Visit Place whenever you are in or near Dapoli.
Meditation centre with Parshuram statue on top. This place along with Ladghar beach, datta mandir, chandika devi mandir dabhol can be covered in one day family trip. Drive carefully as for beginners roads can be tricky and bit difficult!
If you’re traveling between Dabhol and Dapoli, Shri Bhagwan Parshuram Hill is a must-visit spot. Though the area is small, it is incredibly well-maintained, neat, and clean. The highlight is the beautiful statue of Bhagwan Parshuram, which is both impressive and serene. Below the statue, there’s a dedicated Dhyan (meditation) area that is absolutely stunning. It’s the perfect spot for peace, reflection, and connecting with nature. This place is ideal for those seeking tranquility and spiritual rejuvenation. Highly recommended for a quick visit—don’t miss it!
The silent zone created was amazing, you can observe more than a pin drop silence... The view from here is amazing.
Parshuram Bhoomi is 11 km away from Dapoli and located in Burondi village. Mr. Dyaneshwar Shivaji Gajul from Solapur established this statue on 16-6-2010. On a hilltop, it stands 21 feet tall over a globe painted like the earth with a diameter of 40 feet. There is a meditation hall inside the sphere where you can sit peacefully. You can watch the ‘Tamas Teertha’ (red sea) from the hilltop. It is so because the seawater looks red from above in the light. It is a belief that Lord Parshuram is Lord Vishnu’s sixth incarnation. He was born to Renuka Devi and sage Jamadagni. The legend has it that he threw his war axe into the sea due to which the Western Coastal land arose. That is why people in Konkan worship Lord Parshuram devotedly. His devotees believe that one who worships Parshuram earns tremendous bravery and power. There is also a temple dedicated to him in South Goa. It offers visitors a serene retreat with awe-inspiring panoramic views. The site’s scenic beauty and the impressive statue make it a popular spot for photography. Visitors often spend time exploring the area, capturing the views, and enjoying the tranquil environment. Parshuram Bhumi is located close to other tourist spots in Dapoli, making it a convenient addition to a day’s itinerary. The area is rich in natural beauty, with beaches, temples, and other historical sites nearby.
It's a meditation center with a huge Parshuram statue right on top of the dome. There is nothing much to do there and you would wrap up within 20 minutes unless you went there for meditating. The view from the place is good as it's located at an elevation.
> Felt absolute peace and solace after visiting this place. > One must absolutely visit Parshuram Bhumi once when near Dapoli. > The mountain ranges and Ladghar beach are clearly visible from up. 😍 > Clicked a lot of pictures here and can't wait to visit again.

The Panhale Kazi Caves near Dapoli, Maharashtra, are an ancient rock-cut wonder dating back to the 3rd century. These Buddhist caves, nestled amidst dense greenery, feature intricate carvings, prayer halls, and water tanks. Each cave showcases the architectural prowess of ancient times, with stupas and inscriptions offering a glimpse into the region’s history and Buddhist culture. The serene surroundings and the historical significance make it a must-visit for history buffs and nature lovers alike. It’s an offbeat destination perfect for a peaceful day trip, blending heritage with scenic beauty.
If you are passing by you may miss all the caves, near the road is just the beginning. I haven't fully explored, hope to return. I did not know there was more to it.
Nice and well maintained place. This place is good for a small walking trail. Not much to see in caves but one must see the caves itself. Heard that in rainy season flood water enter in to caves. so be careful in rainy season. State transport bus is available at this place.
Panhaledurga Caves or Panhalekaji Caves is a hidden gem near Dapoli. It's a set of 8 to 10 Leni. They are located in a remote place. There is no network in the area. Car goes to the last point where caves and Leni are present. A river flows adjacent to it. There is no entry ticket or fee. Very few people visit these Panhaledurga caves. You can spend upto 30 min here. It seems very ancient (no exact date known or displayed). There is a board that says there are crocodiles in the adjacent river. No public toilet. Some carvings are very intricate and good. Ruins of stupa are visible.
Underrated place!!! Need to maintain it properly After all it's a historical place. Do visit Before it collapses. The government and archeological department need to focus on it.
A serene prehistoric place in the lap of a jungle, with a river running through in front of it... I absolutely loved the place!
The caves are beautiful from an archeological perspective with a river flowing along the sides of pathway. Be careful of crocodiles ! The place, however, has variety of birds - Brown headed barbet, Golden fronted leafbird, White throated kingfisher and minivets. The place can accommodate about 5-6 cars and generally not crowded.
Important historical location which need proper attention from the local authorities as well as Archaeological survey of India. No network for Vodafone users, not sure about other phone operators in this region.

A hidden gem for pure relaxation! This quiet, lesser-known beach offers peace, clean surroundings, and zero crowd—perfect for unwinding away from the chaos. Nature’s calm at its best!
It's a calm and flat beach and nice for a 3 day relaxing trip. The village mostly has home stays which will provide you with home cooked food. The beach is not crowded at all and good for families
Kelshi Beach is a clean and calm beach. It is a peaceful and less crowded beach. The beach is beautiful. There are no watersports on the beach.
We were lucky enough to spot a mermaid washed ashore...poor thing didn't make it back to sea. If you see one too, feel free to share it here, seems like they're popping up in unexpected places!
This is the cleanest and the most peaceful beach I have ever visited! A long stretch, no crowd at all. This beach is the best if you want to relax peacefully. It's very safe and about 1km walking distance from the main market (Bazar Peth). There are many properties that offer home stay and which are near the beach. October to February are the best months to visit this beach! Sunsets are the most beautiful here! I would recommend visiting here by all means!
Best beach in the whole kokan coastal Line. Clean and quiet beach for those who are looking for the natural Beauty of the sea . Kelshi is a quiet and traditional konkani town. You can enjoy a nice sunset and take a long walk. The beach is free from the chopati type crowd.
One of the best and clean beaches on the coast of ratnagiri. It's an Unexplored beach and has a decent connectivity. Kelshi also has couple of decent resorts or hotels to stay. It's very calm and silent beach. It has a big size beach where you can drive your 4x4 SUV also.Recommended.
Lovely beach where you can take a walk enjoy with friends and family. The village Kelshi is a small village with several temples and serene beach. Visit beach and relax watching the tide

This place is not well maintained. But worth visiting as nature's wonder. Going there is an adventure.
Its n hot water spring near by my native place. You jus need to walk around 10-15min to reach this place. The place is quite amazing and you get to know goethermal science of hot spring.
Natural wonder According to research this spring flows around 30 ltrs water per minute which is 70 to 80 degree Celsius. This is 30 km from Dapoli. One can plan for 8-9 hrs trip to this place plus panhalekazi caves. Though everyone put all positive comments gov or local people not keep this spring clean. Other side visiters avoid throwing waste and bottles and plastic in spring and surrounding area but local people do. Grampanchayat should strictly ban this and apply some fine against it. It is heritage site.
Amazing Natural hot water 💦 Take a shower and see the difference
This place is located bit far from Dapoli and it takes about 2 hours to reach this remote place. There are small hot springs in this area which are known to cure skin ailments. The place is rarely crowded and one should visit this place specially in winter. Its a good place. On the basis of it is located in village. God have given them a beautiful environment and blessed with a good natural activities.the place is in the middle of hills and that is increase its beauty more. Love this place. But they need to improve by taking government facilities.
Best place to visit in rainy season and winter ... Very near to Dapoli ... Can be reachable by St bus some of the privao buses also go Thier ... No near by hotels but you can stay at village residential... Food can be local but really nice ....
Relatively cleaner place compared to other similar in Maharashtra. Multiple pools. Decent for female and familymembers as the place has separate covered arrangement.
This place is remotely located, the travel will be through villages. This is the unadulterated part of konkan indeed. The hot water spring phenomenon gets you thinking how wonderful nature is. There is no maintenance however
