Mathews coaches provide an amazing service to / from Dublin City. My partner and I use this service quite often and have never had an issue. Coaches are always clean and the drivers are very professional.
Never arrives on time. 0% Punctuality whatsoever. Not uncommon to be waiting half an hour extra for it in a rush to college or work. Avoid at all costs. people arrive at the bus stop late, because they know the bus hasn’t arrived yet. that should give you a heads up about how bad this bus service is.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Their drivers need customer service training and a serious attitude adjustment. I had to use their "service" for a return trip to Dublin today and both drivers were anything but professional their anger and general snappy attitude was not warranted neither my partner or I had done nothing to warrant it.
Not certain it comes, also not certain it stops at the stop where you want to get off. Return ticket 18 EUR and there is no real time data where the buses at. Still easiest way to reach some towns north to Dublin City. Stood in the cold for like 40 minutes more than once waiting for it though.
Hello my friends diegos on the music bus. So it's the new sound for you to remember a great longing.
overall good service but always freezing cold. Doesn’t help that they leave the roof top window open too which makes it extra loud ABD freezing.
If you get the Dublin to Dundalk bus from white hall any time from 5pm during the week you are guaranteed to be waiting minimum 1 hour and up to 1.5 hours to get on a bus. It is an absolute disgrace. 2 or 3 full buses will go by every weekday and they WILL NOT put more buses on to cater for the people standing at Whitehall whom have all paid for tickets. I rang to complain and was told they have no more buses. When I asked them if they would communicate it to customers that wait times at Whitehall are an hour and over I was told they wouldn't 'because it would look negative'. They are well aware of the fact that they are not providing a sufficient service, but are doing nothing about it. --------- I'm adding a second review to what I left 9 months ago below. Got the 7am Direct Bus from Dundalk to Dublin today and it was freezing. Zero heating on at all throughout the whole trip. Absolutely disgraceful for how much they charge!
Buses are always either full or late. I have been using this service 10 times a week for the last year and it has only arrived within 10 minutes of when it's supposed to twice. Today the bus was so delayed that it skipped the service entirely and I ended up waiting an hour and a half for it. It is beyond ridiculous. Its only redeeming factor is that the bus drivers are nice and it is the only bus that stops near my house.
