Beautiful place. Totally worth ascending for an hour and a half. Don't forget warm clothes and a thermos with tea if you're going there in autumn.
Insane views of Grenoble, Belledonne, Mont Blanc, Vercors, and Chartreuse. Well marked trails, easy to access with transit from Grenoble.
Fantastic find. If driving you can drive all the way to the top where there is a gravel parking area for about 6 cars. If this is full then a bigger area is just slightly down the hill. The drive is fine for all cars, well paved. The fort itself is great. It’s free to enter and walk around the exterior which is what we did. Fantastic views over Grenoble and the surrounding mountains.
Wonderful place to visit, from Grenoble city either you can come here by bus and after that it's almost 50 minutes hiking or by car it has direct road till gate of the fort almost 30 minutes of driving. The whole Grenoble city laying beneath this place. Amazing mountainous view. I will highly recommend this place for visit in summer times because the whole area green in this season. Great views from here and some of the exhibits are free to visit. You can hike or drive here and the hike from here on the ridge is beautiful down to the village from which you can take the bus back to the city.
Amazing history and location so worth the drive up. And the views are incredible. Lovely place to eat. Beautiful Chapel.
A neat 19th century fort overlooking Grenoble. Fantastic views!
Fantastic scenery. Love this place especially its exhibits and posters from early 19th century. And the goat and mule living here are the most adorable best friends.

Location, food and wine. Three great things about this place. It is a great place for a family dinner. The scenery is just fabulous. The menu is small but elegant. I would avoid the duck. Tends to be a little tough. Everything else is great.
Many level, differents tracks for all age. A nice place for a dynamic afternoon. Book in advance during high season.
