Amazing garden and owners... definitely worth the visit! view and environment are also fantastic. A must see.
(Translated by Google) As Charles Trenet's song says: it's an extraordinary garden... We discover vegetation and plants that evolve with the seasons. The garden is magical, it is a place for young and old. Fun as well, there are sculptures, mysterious musical instruments, atypical decorations, but shh... I won't say more. I'll let you enter this pretty, unusual garden. And a big thank you to the 2 owners of the place, nature enthusiasts. See you soon.

A beautiful setting to truly unwind. Food, wine, and facilities were exceptional. Lots of places to go for a walk and fully emerse yourself in nature. A wonderful base to visit all what the Alsace/Vosges region has to offer
- We stayed two nights in one of the fancy chalets. Beautiful location in the middle of the forest, peaceful and quiet, with the unforgettable sound of wolves at night. - Excellent spa facilities, very clean, with three saunas including a unique vanilla-cardamom one. - Relaxing and professional massage treatment. - Delicious six-course vegan dinner as we asked earlier if that is possible – creative flavor combinations like gazpacho and artichokes with citrus and herbs. - Friendly and proactive staff, very helpful despite the language barrier. - ultra comfortable bed – we slept deeply and woke up well-rested. - Animals on the property – donkeys and a deer made for a charming experience. - Only small downside: breakfast could use some fresh vegetables like tomato or cucumber, anything other than jam and not sweet for bread for people with allergies / vegans. We will be glad to come back in the near future. Many thanks!
The room was spotlessly clean and cosy. The staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. The restaurant should have a Michelin star. My husband has serious food allergies and we were well taken care of. The food was well presented and delicious. Attention to detail by the chef was creative and beautiful. Thank you very much. A wonderful stay.
We stayed at Hôtel & Spa Jardin de Sophie and it truly saddens us to write this review, because the property has great potential and some aspects we really appreciated. Overall, our experience was positive when it comes to the property and its setting: the hotel is beautiful, the room was comfortable, and the location is well-maintained and clean, a perfect place to unwind and relax. The staff at the reception were cordial, but for the price charged by the hotel, it is disappointing that no one speaks English and that the overall level of service does not always match the standard expected. On several occasions, waiters walked away when they heard us speaking English, as everyone spoke only French. We also dined at the hotel’s restaurant, which is presented as high-end, but we encountered several issues: - due to the language barrier, our requests were often misunderstood; - the wine arrived after the first appetizers; - the bottle (a premium one) was served warm; - the waitress did not ask who wanted to taste the wine and poured it directly for my male partner, without considering that I, as a woman and also certified sommelier, might be the one to do the tasting. Sorry but I find this unacceptable in 2025; - there were very long waiting times between courses. In short: beautiful, relaxing, and well-kept environment, but certain aspects (especially regarding communication and restaurant service) should be improved, even if the number of Italian or international guests is small.
Lovely little spa and great restaurant hidden away in the Vosges forest near Xonrupt-Longemer. Not the first time I have been but this time the weekend menu was a fixed price one which came as a surprise at 60€ ahead! The set menu was delicious but with wine and a morning in the spa, it was an expensive outing. I had checked the website before and absolutely all the information was incorrect. Opening hours for the restaurant, menu etc all need updating post Covid. Would still return as the setting is gorgeous and the food absolutely wonderful but I would check everything by phone first!
Nice hotel with some charming rooms. The Spa is quite small in comparison with the size of the hotel, could be bigger. The Breakfast is for a 4 Star hotel quite small and should be bigger. The cuisine is innovative and delicious, but the waiters aren't on the same level as the kitchen is.
