We were on the way by car and just passed it. But it was so amazing that we returned to the parking spot, and repeated it on foot. On the parking spot is also a clean toilet.
The cave is a geological oddity with rivulets and roads cutting through it. You can walk around and see the surrounding area. To visit the museum(the cave), I recommend you make a reservation online in advance. Also, the ticket includes the other museums in the village. You can come and have a picnic. There are free parking spaces and one small restaurant next to the cave that you can get a drink/food before or after visit the cave.
Very nice guided tour for about an hour through the caves all in French all about the excavations and findings of prehistoric bones and artifacts found when digging the road passing through the cave. No pictures allowed during the guided tour. Well worth visiting. Set times for visits.
One of the most iconic caves of South Western France. Huge, very well conserved, easy of access and open all year round. The entrance fee of 11€ for a guided tour is worth for discovering in depth archeological sites within the cave. I'd advise traveling across the cave by car - jaw dropping.
It was an overwhelming experience to drive through this tunnel. Stop and take photos at both ends. Worth the extra drive!
A huge cave going right through the hillside. Big enough for a road to use it as a tunnel alongside the river. There is a small car park at the end and then you can walk into the cave and towards the museum. The surrounding countryside is very pretty with lots of hiking available. Alas we didn’t have time so I can’t comment on the museum or the surroundings in detail. But the cave is cool!
Very cool cave with a small road running through the biggest part next to a stream. A snack stand is nearby. If you pay, there’s a tour of the smaller parts of the cave with good interesting information on prehistoric life in the region.
They Only do the tour in French and not much to see there because it has been mined since Neolithic man has been there.

We loved the whole concept. It was amazing! Recommend to anyone who can speak French. I wish I could understand all the signs. Kids loved the activities and we adults loved everything. We have 4 kids aged 3-13. And we spent here 2 hours because it was the end of the day. With some food and drink, we could have a picnic and easily spend another two exciting hours!
Took my 2 and 4 year old boys here and they absolutely loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good english which was helpful. We took our own picnic which we enjoyed on one of the picnic benches provided and spent 3 to 4 hours exploring the park, digging for dinosaur bones and looking at fossils. I would definitely recommend this place.
Nice park in Mas which takes you from the forming of the earth to present day with a focus on the pre historic plants and animals. Everything is in French only if you are not able to understand/read French make sure your Google Translate is up to date and available
Cool outdoor adventure that takes you through the ages and dinosaurs. Nice and shaded on a hot day, with lots of activities for the kids. Very impressed.
Too much fun and learning! We have to return 🐝 Kids were fascinated and very involved with the simulated paleontological digs. Staff was inspiring!🌈
Perfect trip for the family. You'll need to carry a pram at some places as there are tree roots/steps.
Interesting if you like Evolution, nice exhibits on a forest walk. Good for taking your children, but a bit expensive.
Lots of information, nice park setup, enthusiastic owner. All info in French, but translation available in other languages.

We visited the Affabuloscope with two seven year olds and they found a lot to enjoy, especially the wackiness of the objects and the fact that you can touch many of them. It's a great tribute to the unique creative talent of Claudius
Very odd place and artist. He was really skilled, no doubt about it, but the art wasn't to my taste and was just........ odd. Definitely not a place for children either!
We went as a group and all I can say is it is eclectic. There didn't seem to be any link between pieces but interesting for a wander round. Maybe I missed the point.......
Such an extraordinary place in such an extraordinary place! A must see if you are in the area!
Totally original museum. Though t-provoking, funny and poignant. And a fabulous little tea-room. Well worth a visit.
Awesome place to visit for hours!
(Translated by Google) We came across, by chance, an advertising leaflet for the museum. I wasn't very motivated, at first, to go... and I was completely transported by Claudio's world!! I loved his machines, his humor and the intelligent way of denouncing the inconsistencies in our society. Awesome!!! Thank you, thank you for bringing this place to life, thank you for the patience of the person who welcomes us and explains, to each visitor of the day, who this artist was and his gift left to the world.
