Nice museum. Guide explains a lot and also demonstate how to make wouden pieces.
Very interesting little museum ... providing history of wood production and working in the area. Included a demonstration of flour milling (driven by the waterwheel) and turning a (porcini?) mushroom.
This is a brilliant place to take the guided tour, at 14h00 every workin' day during summer. The isolated village inside a forest was inhabited by woodworkers and lumberjacks. Do ya recognize the old ways? Be amazed what they were capable to create. We loved it. Guided tour of 90 minutes.
(Translated by Google) Interesting little museum. The manager is a very attentive and kind person who knows how to do his job with wood very well. Very interesting information on the operation of the mill and the instruments for working wood. They make beautiful pieces. Highly recommended to visit. 10/10. Hacen piezas hermosas. Muy recomendado para visitar. 10/10.
(Translated by Google) Installed in the old mill of the village, the museum dedicates an exhibition on the woodwork, trades and wooden objects of yesteryear. The site offers a moment of strolling and relaxation. On the side, the watercourse “La belleuse” falls from the small lock and continues its path alongside the mill. It is the only one in the region to have retained its two still functional bucket wheels.
(Translated by Google) A delightful surprise! We were stopping for one night in our campervan, and with two young children, aged 11 and 8, we visited the site. The guided tour, led by a passionate and engaging expert, delighted both young and old. There were numerous period tools, stories about the local economy and society, a sensory area focused on wood, and the highlight of the visit: a demonstration of the watermill turning wheat into flour and the creation of a beautiful object on a wood lathe right before our eyes. I highly recommend it for all ages, from children to seniors. (Original) Belle surprise !
(Translated by Google) A museum to discover the woodworking trades, its tools and objects. A top-notch guide for a comprehensive one-hour presentation on woodworking, a demonstration of the mill, and jars to smell the different types of wood. And the magical moment of transforming a log into a mushroom. Thanks to the guide.

Don't hesitate to leave with a wooden object carved on site.

(Translated by Google) The Belleuse gardens are like a dream. Instantly, upon contact with the gardens and the charming hosts of the place (Marie-Claire and FranLuc), each of your senses is greeted with a deep feeling of freedom and serenity. Marie-Claire and FranLuc have placed colors in their gardens perfectly inscribed in a plant monochrome in the heart of the Avesnois Regional Natural Park, offering a simple beauty to our eyes. Along the free path(s), scents seize you, attracting you sometimes here, sometimes there. We are then in happiness, aware that the time of discovery has no more importance, no more limits. The sound of the wind in the foliage, or the peaceful sound of the Belleuse stream, helps to further open the soul to relaxation. Carried by the benevolent charms of this universe, we taste the singular and extraordinary pleasures of each encounter: in the pocket gardens (each more surprising than the last), the laboratory of Marine's dreams, the forest of dreams blue... Feeling the grass under our feet, hearing certain branches cracking under our feet... Or the desire to touch a bark here, a foliage there... among the astonishing dreamlike decorations that Marie-Claire and FranLuc "encounter" at flea markets and invite into their gardens. The Belleuse gardens are also suitable for sharing (visitors are obviously happy here), host storytelling tours, events inspired by aesthetics and poetry... It is finally possible to enjoy a refreshment on the terrace facing the gardens, time to get back into the rhythm of this sweet dream. And for those who could no longer do without this enchanting universe, it is possible to become a member of the Gardens to return throughout the season and share the life and evolution of nature perfectly showcased here. We will come back soon with our children! Please note, this dream must be earned, and can be visited by prior telephone reservation, simply as you would visit friends.
