Fantastic clos du boux, amazing location and beutifull gamay wine too... great sense of hospitality as well
My favourite Swiss wine of all times :) if you live in the Swiss German part (or anywhere else;)), I highly recommend to go and get the wine yourself as the Lavaux is absolutely stunning and the Massy family rocks!
The massy family are true guardians of the heritage and expertise of winemaking in Switzerland. Their wines are among the best ones in the region without a doubt!
Drinking Massy's wine with good food in good company is one of life’s most civilized pleasures. Simply the best Lavaux's wine
Great atmosphere, amazing wine!
Great location and wines!
(Translated by Google) Having discovered the wines and the Massy family estate in 2014, I can say that this estate is one of the best in Lavaux! Their dedicated winemaker was also crowned King of the 2019 Winegrowers’ Festival. Luc, Gregory and Benjamin are fine experts and lovers of the land, a pride of our region! Always welcoming winemakers who produce diverse wines while remaining attached to their history and their values. I have some in my cellar and it is always a great pleasure to taste their “Grand Cru” with my family and friends. If you are a wine lover/expert, of the Vaud region and of gastronomy, then their cellar is a must!
(Translated by Google) Massy Vins: a magnificent estate, masterfully run by the entire Massy family. My favorites: Le Dézaley Chemin de Fer and Le Clos du Boux. Two wines with subtle characters, which magnify this great grape variety that is Chasselas and which reveal this great terroir that is Lavaux. I cannot write here without noting that their winegrower Jean-Daniel Berthet was crowned King of the 2019 Winegrowers' Festival which takes place once a generation in Vevey. What an honor! So, to all travelers and visitors to Lavaux: Maison Massy is a must! Health! Quel honneur! We were recommended to come here by our Airbnb just up the road, and boy would I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys wine and good people! We did not have reservations of any kind and they didn’t make us feel like we were imposing on this rather large birthday party going on next to our table. The fondue was the best I’ve had, the Tartare de Saumon, salade et toasts, was mouth watering. The Pataclettes 6 pièces was also delicious. The wine, well we took a bottle back home to the states it was so nice! Our server was brilliant and chose 3 of our wines and was 100% on point! We enjoyed the entire experience. This is a place I would bring all my family and friends!
What can I say. The view of the vineyard is unbelievable. Green, calm, overlooking a hilly area with lakes and buildings in the background. Superb for a tourist relaxing itinerary. To get here we took a modified train like vehicle. The journey was half an hour and it gave us a great view of the vineyards as well as the lake and the city. At the end of the ride, we had a great wine tasting session at a terrace with good vineyard view.
Breath taking view. Went in summer time. All the wines on the menu are from the house. Just fantastic. We ordered “planchette” of dry sausages and cheese. So relaxing. Great ambiance.
Good view of the lake. Wine tasting menu is good as well as the food.
Great place and magnificent view, the best way to spend some relaxing time in the area. Highly recommend
We were looking for a vineyard on our trip to Switzerland, and found Gaillard et Fils. According to their website, we were to take a train from Lausanne to Puidoux (a short ride), followed by “a short 20-minute walk downhill.” Well, not for us! Don’t walk downhill from the train station - we got so miserably lost that it was only through the kindness of a stranger, who offered to drive us there, that we found the place. Yes, it was just minutes by car, but it’s situated in the middle of a steep hill (I mean, it’s Lavaux, wine region, terrassed). We had a great time there! The hosts are friendly and knowledgeable, the wine tasting was fantastic - all very good. But if you’re walking, be prepared for an arduous trek back up a steep hill before leveling off and finally downhill to the train station.
Amazing experience! We went on a date and had a great dinner! We would recommend salmon quiche with local rosè!!
This is the view you want when visiting Switzerland and drinking wine. Three of us went and we had the small plate and three wine apero deal. The cheeses and meats they served were topnotch. Service was very friendly and accommodating. We had a great time.
