We loved this Abbey! Worth the visit and the walk. It also has a great gift shop. The town nearby is cute as well. I would recommend buying a guide book as there wasn’t that much information available around the Abbey.
€7 for this fabulous 13th Century Abbey, with oooodles of history, before and after, the remaining building you see today. This huge monastic building , with its cloisters, nave, transept and 46m tall towers dominate the town. Allow time to wander, imagine times gone past, changes to the religious feelings of the days. There are information boards scattered throughout, an informative leaflet in numerous languages, and guides on site for more if wanted. We noted headsets at €5 and you can have a tour guide too. Unfortunately the monks house at the very top of the grounds was shut (no explanation). The bakery has a little display in it and is worth a walk over to it via the walled garden area. Toilets and gift shop on entry/exit. Very interesting, great value, definitely worth a stop if in the area.
extremely beautiful ruins in a very green park with gigantic old trees 🌳. we first walked around, then hung out for a bit in a ‘beach’ lounge chair that we could move to a spot of our own liking, which in our case was a spot in the shade of a huge tree, right in between the ruins. if you're visiting on a sunny day and you need a break from driving around, bring some water and a snack and perhaps a book and plan for up to two hours here. 😌
Amazing place to visit and walk around these fantastic ruins. We visited on a very hot day but managed to find plenty of shade in the grounds with plenty of seating provided. Parking was also very accessible around the town, there was a long residential road opposite where we parked on the verge like most people were doing.
Beautiful place Check agenda to catch some cool events like live concerts
On a little sign (and noted on the back of the free visit pamphlet) we found the link to the Jumieges 3D app and it really made our visit (available in English, French, German, Italian). The free basic pamphlet is available in French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch. There is a free audio guide on the app and a function where you can view a recreation of what you would be looking at in the past. Note that guided tours are exclusively in French. You can choose to pay €5 for an audio guide tablet available in French, English, German, and Italian. There are lots of areas to sit down and the trees provide good shade on hot days. The exposition in the Logis Abatial at the back of the property featured artists predominantly from Tunisia and it was worth a (free) visit as well! We visited from Rouen by bus for a day trip and a few hours was all we needed. You can buy bus tickets to get back to Rouen at the Tourism Office because you cannot pay by card and the app doesn’t work well.
Beautiful setting and much larger than first appears. There are lots of paths in the grounds to take, and the abbey ruins really are spectacular. We we're surprised that there was no cafe, and food/drinks were not on sale. There is a cafe in the town close by but this doesn't open until 12.00.
Very old romanic cathedral, 7th century built, later in Gotic style extendet. The monastery was plundered after the French Revolution and the stones were used for local house construction. If the original monks had known this, it would have been in a drama. Very impressive to look at, nice reception and shop. The bar opposite has cold beer too!

Golf course with great potential: lovely layout and holes, some in the forest, some in plains. Set in a natural reserve with old trees. I visited during a spell of drought, so fairways were brown and hard as rock. Not ideal to stay on the fairways. Unfortunately, poor maintenance, not well maintained greens prevent the course from really expressing its potential (is it because it is a public course or because of the regulations for maintaining areas in a natural reserve?). I’d like to visit it is the spring or fall. Maybe it is better then...
I learned a lot here. Thanks to Regis K, you are a great trainer.
(Translated by Google) GOLF COURSE August 24. We did the golf course in Jumieges with friends in 2023. The cleanliness left something to be desired!... but those in charge assured us that efforts would be made. Satisfied with the program, and the very attractive price, we did this course again in 2024. The courses brought us a lot this year, the course is perfect, the lunch catering is passable considering the price, on the other hand, the accommodation consists of 'a room without the possibility of ventilation with a toilet and shower area could be acceptable but everything is very dirty. The cleaning lady's response: this is not a hotel! So, Mr. Director, warn the trainees, provide brooms, cleaning products, put trash cans outside to deposit plastics as on the course, announce to the trainees more complete information on departures at the end of their stay, do not announce on Friday morning when you are going to do a lesson from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. that you have to vacate the room by 10:30 a.m.... in the program you indicate an 18 hole from 2 p.m.... no possibility of taking a shower.... we return home either sweating! All the trainees present are very satisfied with the golf stay and its teaching and we hope that these few lines can improve your services even if you are considering an increase in prices following the work that may be carried out!
(Translated by Google) 👍Well, first of all, the course! You don't need to be a big brute to succeed on this course. On the contrary, you have to hit the balls straight! If possible, have a length that allows for 2 x 170 m! The rough was tricky, and we were on sale, the course is really very pretty, varied, and well-designed! Ideal for friendly games or for practicing for competitions; it's better to be comfortable on the ball🫡⛳️🏌️‍♂️ The hotel in the Golf ⛳️, super quiet, super pleasant, we were lucky it was the reopening, it was brand new! A big thank you to the two hostesses, including Charlotte! Really friendly and helpful💤🌙 Breakfast in the morning was very good, nothing to complain about. If there's anything that could be improved, it's the length of the shower screen, which is a bit short, and as a result, we get a bit of water everywhere. 🥹💦 That's a good thing, as we also get balls everywhere. 😅😂 A very good golf experience, a very good accommodation experience, and great value for money. Well done!
(Translated by Google) A very pretty, hilly, technical, and well-maintained route. Crossing the Seine by ferry is a real change of scenery. The welcome and food were top-notch. We'll be back. On reviendra.
