Crazy place - definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area ! Basically this artist decided to build an open air cathedral in his backyard and spent several decades working on it. We got the guided tour and it was super interesting to learn about the history and hear a bunch of anecdotes from our guide who grew up in the area
An interesting visit if you have nothing else to do. I admire the motivation of the young owners. Bravo.
A really unique place!
Don't miss this!

(Translated by Google) A very pleasant restoration of the place. Great discovery of heritage. To do if we are in the area. (Original) Une restauration du lieu très agréable. Belle découverte du patrimoine. A faire si on est dans le coin.
(Translated by Google) Very interesting place and very well presented by the team of volunteers. The tower is truly impressive and definitely worth a visit just to admire its size. The dovecote (and its many dovecotes) and the barn on the site have also been well restored. Explanatory panels line the site, combining history and architecture. They are very well made. When the site is open, it is possible to attend an explanatory projection and during the visit you can enter the tower and even climb up to the parapet walk at the top. So a site which well deserves a 5* for its interest. A tower fort is not so common in rural areas. ----- Loss of one star compared to the welcome (I'm nice). We came to visit over the May 8th bank holiday weekend. It is announced on all site communications that the guided tour is possible, which we requested. Obviously we disturbed the volunteers present (hearing one say that he is not doing it because he is waiting for someone ok, but that the other does not want to make another visit after the one he has already made, that chills the visitor.... yes the conversations can be heard from the cash register...). So despite the “don’t hesitate to come and ask questions”, it doesn’t work. Having visited many places managed by associations, when we announce a guided tour, we manage it. I understand that 2 people are not interested. In this case, I would have preferred a clear frankness, that you wait to see if there is the possibility of a larger group for example to start the visit. Be clear about your communication, guided tours yes, from a certain number of people or at a certain time... so as not to make your visitors feel that they are unwelcome.
(Translated by Google) A real vestige where we were very well received and where we were the only visitors. This construction has a soul and you have to project yourself far away to imagine the means used in its construction, feudalism in its essence. Well done to the volunteers. There is still work to be done but what has been redone like this marvelous framework is worth the visit.
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful site, impossible to visit because still closed We will have to go back (Original) Très beau site, impossible de visiter car encore fermé Il faudra y retourner
(Translated by Google) For history buffs. A beautiful tower currently undergoing renovation. The roof structure is a must-see. The site remains minimalist, but it definitely deserves protection and enhancement.
(Translated by Google) A very nice discovery with a visit from the guide passionate about the history of the site and the region. 2 hours of diving into the history of this tower which has been well preserved, with the restored dovecote and barn.
