Most interesting visit. We were astonished at the humbleness of the living quarters, which were conceivably visited by some of the top international politicians of the time. Amused, too, that despite having a car, Robert Schuman never had a driving licence and preferred to use public transport.
Great visit of the house. The guiding table is nicely done, more interactive. The gardens were beautiful
A wonderful museum, worth visiting
The Robert Schuman house and the museum are a must for anyone interested in the history of post-World War II Europe and the origins of the EU.
An insight into the life of one of the founders of the EU. The house seems frozen in time with interesting historical artefacts.
This was a great find delving into the history of the EU and Schuman's part in it.
Very informative visitor centre and exhibition, including the house where Robert Schuman, founding father of the EU, lived for a big part of his life. English tours are not always possible, so call beforehand.
Site dedicated to the memory of the French statesman Robert Schuman, who is considered one of modern European's "founding fathers". There is a museum which documents not only Schuman's life and work but also the history of the European Union. To visit Schuman's actual house, which is a separate building, you may need to book a time slot in advance. The garden is really enchanting. Schuman's grave is located within the medeval Église Saint-Quentin just opposite the museum.

Note that this type of burial in the nave of a church was extremely rare in the 20th century. the European Union has taken over the place since at the apse of the same church you can admire the sculptures of the founding fathers of Europe.
