While I feel religious places aren’t meant to be “reviewed,” I’m writing this to highlight the excellent upkeep and serene experience at Kali Ka Tibba. It was one of the best places we visited during our trip to Chail. The approach road is narrow and steep, so a sturdy car with a powerful engine is recommended. The temple is beautifully maintained, very clean, and offers stunning panoramic views. Its calm, soothing spiritual vibes truly uplift the soul. A must-visit for anyone in the area!
Peaceful and Scenic Experience at Kali Tibba Temple I really enjoyed my trip to Kali Tibba Temple in Himachal Pradesh. The place is surrounded by beautiful mountain views and has such a peaceful vibe — perfect for a calm and spiritual experience. We went there by car; the roads are a little tricky and narrow in some parts, but the drive is totally worth it once you reach the top. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and offers a breathtaking 360° view of the hills. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in the area! 🌄🙏

This temple is special as it is located at the top of a hill. The view from there is amazing. You can see beautiful valleys all around that temple. Vehicles can be parked inside the temple area as well but in peak seasons parked vehicles queue can go out on the roads as well. Talking about the temple, it is beautiful but not clean. We are taking off our shoes before entering, they should clean the area where people come to worship. They made a way to the toilet from inside the temple, it means we are barefoot and they expect us to go to the toilet (dirty toilet) and they didn't even provide slippers. Everyone knows with whom I'm comparing this.
I felt blessed here.. luckily I went on Sunday. It was a great and view from the top was very beautiful. You can see around the mountains clouds even little rain. The main part of my experienced was the Bhog which was really good. I would recommend you guys to visit here. I'm grateful to visit during navratri.
It's a mahakali mata temple. Situated on the top of the highest hill in the region. A nice scenic place to go to for the views are beautiful. Can have a birdeye view of the surrounding hills and towns. Better spend some time here for you will have nothing more to do in chail more than this and a small bazaar which suffices basic needs and groceries. The place has a beautiful and scenic road to go to with pine forests and oak trees. The place is reached by a road through the chail sanctuary, however nothing to be seen as multiple shops and homestays have made wildlife thriving difficult. Lucky if you can see any. A shiv temple at the tibba has different shivlings made of gold silver mercury and flint. A must to see if you are a shiv bhakt
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Serenity and Spirituality at its Peak – Kali Tibba Temple, Chail Kali Tibba Temple is not just a spiritual destination—it’s an experience of peace, beauty, and divine energy nestled at one of the highest points in Chail. The drive up to the temple is scenic and serene, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Shivalik ranges. Once you reach the top, you're greeted by a majestic temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, radiating a deep sense of calm and spiritual energy. The temple complex is exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. The white marble structure stands tall against the backdrop of blue skies and rolling hills—it's truly picture-perfect. The atmosphere is tranquil, making it ideal for meditation, quiet reflection, or simply soaking in the views. Sunrise and sunset views from Kali Tibba are absolutely breathtaking. On a clear day, you can even spot the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Whether you're a spiritual seeker or a nature lover, this temple is a must-visit while in Chail. The experience leaves you with a sense of inner peace and awe for nature’s grandeur. Highly recommended for its scenic beauty, spiritual vibe, and the overall sense of calm it offers.

Great place to visit with family. One of the main attractions on Chail and first place to visit in Chail . You can go to visit here for which you have to pay 200 ticket per person but he you book your stay here then no entry charges. The rooms are available from 3500 to 30000 per night. Multiple varieties of rooms are available. Palace has in house restaurant and bar. This has all the historical details and items. There is big green garden where you can spend good amount of time with your loved ones. I recommend staying here if not then please do visit this place. Although the entry ticket is costly but worth it. This is place where 3 idiot movie shooting is done (Chanchad Bhavan) Apart from this movie multiple other movies and TV shows shooting has been done here. You can also book this place for your private parties , wedding and prewedings. This is operated by Himachal government so all booking can be done from Himachal tourism website
Chail Palace Hotel Review – Deewan Room (2-Night Stay) We stayed at the historic Chail Palace for two nights in the Deewan room and overall, had a lovely experience. 📍 Location: The hotel is nestled in a beautiful and serene setting with lush lawns and a dedicated park area for kids. The palace’s charm adds to the experience, although it does attract many day visitors, which can feel a bit crowded at times. If you're seeking absolute peace, this occasional rush might be a minor disturbance. 🛏️ Room: The Deewan room was spacious and well-maintained. However, the bathroom was quite small and resembled that of a typical home, with a few minor issues that could use attention. 🍽️ Restaurant: The food was tasty and the service was excellent. We had a small concern with one of our meals, but the staff handled it with great professionalism and ensured we were satisfied. 👨‍💼 Service: The staff were courteous and responsive. When we encountered a misunderstanding with another guest, the team handled the situation respectfully. A special mention to the hotel manager for being genuinely helpful and kind. ✅ Verdict: Despite a few minor hiccups, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The mix of heritage, nature, and attentive service made it a memorable getaway.
Chail Palace is a perfect getaway for those looking to experience royalty amidst nature. The heritage property, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking mountain views, offers a serene and peaceful ambiance. The architecture and interiors reflect old-world charm, making it a delightful stay for history lovers. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and provide a comfortable stay. The staff is courteous and ensures a pleasant experience for guests. The food served is delicious, adding to the overall charm of the place. The palace’s vast open spaces and scenic surroundings make it ideal for a relaxing vacation. Whether you’re looking for a romantic retreat or a peaceful family trip, Chail Palace is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for those who appreciate heritage, tranquility, and natural beauty!
I went there as a day tourist. Paid Rs 200 per person as entry fee only to be surprised that many sections are closed due to ongoing shooting (photography). You are literally on your own to explore this area with no guidelines or signboards except one board at the entrance depicting story of this palace. Restaurant is just ok and service is very slow. Overall waste of money. They should allow to.adjust the entry fee against restaurant bill. Currently you can adjust it only against room charge
Chail Palace is a beautiful heritage property surrounded by pine forests and serene mountain views. The architecture and royal interiors give you a glimpse of its glorious past. The palace grounds are peaceful, well maintained, and perfect for a relaxing walk. It’s a great spot for photography and to enjoy the calmness away from the crowded hill stations. There’s also a small café/restaurant to enjoy snacks while soaking in the view. Truly a must-visit place if you’re in Chail or nearby Shimla.
We want to explore this palace, they also charged an entry fee of Rs 200 per person, but they didn’t let us see the propert, rooms were locked, there is only playground. So entry fees is not worth it to pay. There is great view inside, weather is really good.
Chail Palace is a beautiful heritage property set in the middle of nowhere, which makes it a nice pit stop if you’re passing through. We stopped here for lunch, and while the menu is fairly limited and leans heavily toward Indian cuisine, it does offer a nice selection of Himachali dishes. We tried a mix of both, and while the Indian food was decent, the Himachali dishes were excellent. The staff was very kind, attentive, and courteous. That said, the condition of the palace itself was somewhat disappointing. It clearly has immense potential but needs much better upkeep and maintenance by the authorities. It would also be wonderful if guided tours or displays were available to share the history of the palace with visitors. Unfortunately, during our visit, there was a film shoot happening, and the property looked messy and disorganized, with equipment and clutter lying around. Overall, it’s a beautiful place with great cultural value, but it deserves far better maintenance and presentation.
Government operated Heritage property located in lush surroundings with beautiful views. The property itself is in run down condition and needs urgent TLC. Restaurant serves very good food. Service is OK. We stayed in deluxe room. The room was in poor condition. Carpet, drapes and linen were all faded, worn out and need immediate renewal. This place can do wonders if the control of the property is handed over to top end private operators

Located at a height of 8000 ft from downtown Chail, Sidh Baba Ka Mandir is set on a hill between Rajgarh and Pandhawa. Its a very peaceful place, for meditation this place is super as u got positive vibes here. Built in 1891, Sidh Baba Ka Mandir is a place of holy soul and every traveler visits this temple to worship and take the blessings of Sidh Baba.
Very peaceful and beautiful place. A holy saint has been residing here for a very long time. This is absolute heaven.
The temple is located in beautiful place Chail. The surroundings are so much quite. One should visit if they are nature lover and want peaceful environment. The temple is hostoric. And Panchmukhi Hanuman, Maa Durga etc are present. If you go by walking from Chail Market then the many scenic views will come if you are able to track (few steeps are present) and also its present inside military school area hence very cleaned and maintained. The ambience is good and surroundings are beautiful and serene. Environment is good and quite. One should feel the positive vibes inside the temple premise.
Beautiful temple, peaceful and calm. Neat and clean location
100+ years old temple situated inside restricted area. Very calm, neat n clean place. Though temple complex is not so big and attractive, but you can still feel the natural peace and calm surrounding adds to it. If you are lucky, then you can also meet famous Baba ji living there in an old cottage cum den. Very different from modern word spiritual gurus. You may experience this as a divine place, specially recommended for religious peoples!
Hindu temple, visitors need to take permission to enter the place as whole area falls under defence. There is one motorway (on the left hand side) that will take you to the temple , else you can visit on foot. Awesome atmosphere of the whole temple like you meditated just by entering here.
i loved this place, it was very quiet and peaceful. the temple was very neat and clean, not a single grain of dust. i loved spending time here, the area is spacious and there are lots of monkeys too. there is enough space inside the temple to sit and meditate in peace. when i went there with my friends there was no other visitor there, so we enjoyed our time a lot.
According to the legend, Maharaja Bhupender Singh of Patiala's under construction palace  was struck by lightning several times and it was then  decided to leave the location for a temple for the locals to worship. Thus the divine Sidh Baba Temple was constructed in 1891. Maharaja Bhupender Singh built the Chail Palace some distance away at a lower point in the same year. https://youtu.be/iskFSB4x4Rg?si=M14zmLRN-8MWDqTv Sidh Baba meaning (Learned Guru) was revered by people and stayed at the temple for a long time. The temple is located at the top of the hill. The Deodar surrounded temple is nothing less than heaven. It is a great place for nature lovers, meditation, and inner peace seekers. The weather here is always cool, even in peak summers.

The stone architecture of the temple adds to its charm, making it a must-visit for devotees and nature lovers alike. Beautiful Temple Seriously Amazing When Listen Made By One Man Only Just 3 Kms away from Chail Market Vehicle Can Go Upto Temple But It's Not Suggestable So Keep Vehicle Parked At Main Road It's Just 400 meter Steep Walked But Perfect Road to Walk So Enjoy Temple View And Amazing Neatly Worked Done Along With Perfect Plan And Beautiful Decoration Also.
This temple is all together a different Shiva temple which you have ever seen. This temple is man made based on waste material and the person who has made this temple is live next to the temple. This man is continuously Making new things in this temple since last 30 years . For reaching here you have to do off-roading around 500 meter which is very narrow road only for one car at time. I recommend travel this off road patch without car may be bike or by yourself. There is Veerbadhra cave inside the temple please visit that also. During your Chail visit please don’t miss this place
Talking about my visit to Stone Khumb in Chail, it was quite an interesting experience. The Stone Khumb is a unique and ancient rock formation that immediately caught my attention with its unusual shape and size. It felt like stepping into a place where nature’s artistry and history come together. The site is surrounded by dense forests, which added to the mystique and peacefulness of the spot. Reaching Stone Khumb involved a pleasant walk through cool, shady trails lined with tall pine trees. The fresh mountain air and tranquil environment made the stroll enjoyable and relaxing. Once there, I took time to observe the stone closely and appreciate its natural formation and the stories it might hold. The area around Stone Khumb was quiet and serene, making it a great place to pause and soak in the calmness of the Himalayan foothills. It felt like a little hidden treasure in Chail, away from the more crowded tourist spots. The blend of natural beauty and interesting geology made the visit both peaceful and thought-provoking. If you’re in Chail and enjoy spotting unique natural landmarks, Stone Khumb is definitely worth a visit. It offers a quiet retreat surrounded by nature and a chance to connect with the tranquil beauty of the hills. For me, it was a special moment of calm and curiosity during the trip, leaving a lasting impression of the natural wonders hidden in Chail
It's an ongoing Shiva Temple which is been built by an individual for about 38 yrs and still continuing. The story is the guy who is buildingnnhad a dream in 80’s and began to built the temple on his own land all by himself. It was built in an unusual way of a temple.
Built by some locals this temple was definitely a good temple complex but gradually deteriorating due to lack of maintenance.
The Stone Temple in Chail is one of the most peaceful and unique places I have visited. Located on a hilltop and easily reachable by vehicle, the temple is surrounded by calm forests that immediately give you a sense of serenity and stillness. This temple is unlike any other. It was built in 1980 by Shri Satya Bhushan after Lord Shiva appeared in his dream and inspired him to create it. What makes it truly special is that it is constructed using unusual materials like stones, metal wires, and other elements, giving it a very distinctive look and spiritual charm. The atmosphere here is deeply calming — far away from noise and crowds, you can sit peacefully, meditate, or simply soak in the divine presence of Mahadev Ji. Personally, I felt a strong connection and inner peace while visiting, and it left a lasting impression on me. If you are in or around Chail, I would highly recommend visiting this temple. It is not just a religious site, but also a place to experience tranquility, unique craftsmanship, and a soulful connection with nature and divinity.
Amazed to see the build of this temple. It seems that all of this is handmade and a lot of effort was put in. The temple was clean. Not many people know so it was not crowded. I would suggest to take the main road to come to temple, otherwise Goggle maps shows a uphill road to reach here which is not the correct way.
