Great experience, they take great care of their birds. Willie was very good at explaining all about the birds, and guided us through with the Harrison hawk, it brought us great joy as the hawk flew on our arm and jumped on our head! learnt all about them. Beautiful owls and let us hold them and take great pics! 100 percent recommend. You can tell they take great pride and care for these beautiful birds
I cannot say enough great things about Willie and the Mayfield Birds of Prey experience. Willie is incredibly knowledgeable and gracious. The birds are thoughtfully and carefully cared for. And our experience flying Mikey the Harris Hawk and holding the other birds of prey was so fun and unpressured. If you are in the area, you should absolutely make a visit!
This experience was so good! Me and my parents haven’t been to a falconry experience ever before, and this truly gave me an unforgetable and fun impression on it. Willy and his son shaun guided us and helped us along the way. We took a harris hawk outside to fly, using bits of food to guide it, and took it in a big circle. Afterwards, we took pics with a few owls and throughout willy gave lots of easy- to -understand explanations and backstories of the birds, and he was very passionate about them. Really recommend coming here for a fun family, or couple experience!
Had such a personalized, enjoyable experience with Willie! He was so fantastic and made us feel extremely comfortable around the birds, which made our experience so exceptional. He was also a wealth of knowledge and was engaging with his knowledge-sharing. His passion for falconry and love for his birds makes this experience really special!
This was an incredible experience. Willy is so friendly, knowledgeable and his passion for these birds is wonderful to see. Every second of this experience is unique, informative, and exciting. It’s a wow experience and I couldn’t recommend it more.
An amazing place with many owls & falcon, & baby eagles. I really enjoyed the stories of each bird from the owner who is awesome and extremely friendly. My wife and I had a fantastic extended time there.
We had the most amazing day at Mayfield Bird of Prey! From the very start, Willie went out of his way to accommodate us, and his warm, friendly nature instantly made us feel at home. My children, aged 5 and 2, were completely mesmerized. Willie has such a deep knowledge and genuine passion for these beautiful birds, and it really shows, not only in how he cares for them, but also in how much they clearly trust and adore him. The birds are so well looked after, happy, and thriving. What made the visit truly special was how Willie was able to share his knowledge in a way that was engaging for adults while still being fun and easy to understand for little ones. It wasn’t just a visit, it was an immersive experience that left all of us in awe. Thank you so much, Willie! The kids are already excited to come back next year to see the golden eagle all grown up. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough, it’s a must for families and anyone who loves wildlife!
