Ruined hilltop castle built in the late 14th century, with some restored rooms & far-reaching views.

Certainly one of the most gorgeous castles in the vicinity of Prague, maybe a bit underrated and undersiscovered by the foreign tourists. Beautifully located and well-preserved, with large accessible parts of the former palace. Surrounded by meadows full of sheep, goats and one very hairy pig. There are also bears in the castle moat, somewhat famous from starring in children's TV show.
Parking is 60czk at the base of hill. You then hike 1km up the hill to the castle and are met with great views. The castle itself has 2 live bears and lots of history. Cost was 180czk for standard entry. Well worth the stop.
Well-preserved castle ruins. Parking at the foot of the mountain. A beautiful path with a great view leads up to the castle. The castle consists of various buildings that make for an interesting tour. Delicious food is also offered in the courtyard.
A half ruined castle, still maintained and accessible for the public, with an amazing view
Tocnik Castle has mostly been left in ruins. Necessary paths, bridges and supports have been added. You are able to explore on your own or with a guide.
Beautiful castle from the middle of the 13th century. The ruins of the castle are in good condition, being possible to visit some rooms. There is no guided tour, however when you buy the ticket you receive the explanation on a paper (available in English). You can leave the car on a parking place (50CZK) and walk around 1.5km till the castle. The ticket for adult cost 150 CZK.
Perfect for a family trip with a dog. Your per can accompany you anywhere. Even in thw gallery hall upstairs. It was very nice surprise to see all these beautiful pictures of the sea :) there is a place for small sweet treat and a czech classics 😜 and there is a lot animals which make the trip even more kid friendly ❤️
Castle itself is antique and in ruins, so don't expect much of an awe. But the history, king's chamber interiors and bears just outside the castle are worth your while. 2 bears: 1 male and 1 female, Agáta and Martin, make sure to visit them.

Amazing stones. Still standing arches. Beautiful sort of greenery growing on the walls, looking like succulent. Also the view.
So nice castle. Without guide, you can see what you want. Entrance fee 90 CZK. You can see here two bears!
It's an interesting place to see. It is not good for physically challenged individuals and those with pushchairs. But over all, it's a very nice place with an amazing view of nearby places. You will definitely be glad you visited this place.
Challenging ruins. But not everyday you can “bee” to sheeps and climb to a castle ruin.
Castle with tower. We didn't bother to go inside and climb the tower.
It was almost a castle ruin where you can easily get with a few minutes hike. Good view from above with all those particles of ruin surround by. Točnik castle is visible from here which would be the good option to consider going together with. But a bit bummer the tower in this castle was closed so better check out the opening time of tower so that you can see the better view
Really nice view, besides that nothing much to see.
