Found this place after looking for something to do after visiting Stefandi caves . An ABSOLUTE GEM. Hidden away in a little village. A personal guided tour by the host was very informative. A surprise in each room. So much work has been lovingly put into each sculpture. And not a gift shop in sight
Amazing wooden works of art. Yorgos is a great talent with genuine love in the art. The stories behind the exhibits are deep and insightful. They range from mythical, to daily life in Crete, to religious subjects. Worth a drive just for this.
Amazing craftsmanship. Things that he made out of One log is stunning. Take your time and study the statues.
This man is a legend for me! His sculptures are so beautiful! He loves his family, his roots and the traditions. He is selling also extra virgin olive oil for a very attractive price. Amazing his work, it is remarkable and really worth to drive to that beautiful place in Crete.
Amazing place and a must visit if your hiring a car in crete. The admission fee is €5 for a guided tour which tales around 30 mins with plenty of information about all the different sculptures
Unique artist in the world. Not to be missed.
Amazing wood art.! huge wooden statues.!
Ah this place was a treat and absolutely bonkers. We started the tour with the artist's brother and finished it with the artist George. His brother was much more charismatic and smiley where's George was very focussed and serious. George's creations are absolutely amazing, he works on them for months and you can see the work he puts into them. 5e for entry and tour. A definite must see if you are wondering round the island and want a 30min detour.
