Amazing secluded beach, clearer sand but lots of sticks washed up. A few beach bars along the way with decked seating and parasols which are great to spend the day
A wonderful place. Soft sand. There are sunbeds – two sunbeds and an umbrella for the whole day cost €12. The sea is shallow – perfect for swimming with kids. We really liked it
Beautiful beach with soft sand. The sunshade offer varies depending on the place—some restaurants even provide them for free if you order food or drinks. Unfortunately, there’s quite a bit of garbage scattered around, most likely left by careless tourists. It really spoils the experience, and it’s a shame that some people don’t respect such a lovely spot. Five star for the nature.
Definitely one of the best beaches in Corfu... Large, clean beach with plenty of space for your own sunbeds and umbrella.. The water is clean but cold like every beach on the west side of the island. 🇲🇰🇬🇷
This is one of the best beaches I have been to during our 2 week holiday to Corfu. Absolutely wonderful. The water is so warm and if you kick up the sand whilst in the sea the fish come swimming close by hoping for food churned up in the sand. Very cute.
It was a beautiful sandy beach, very private, and clean. The water was clear and warm. We rented two sunbeds for €15, quite cheap, but there is plenty space to put your own umbrella and stuff. Plus, there are showers nearby where you can shower and changing rooms.
The beach is beautiful and large, so even though it can be crowded, you don’t feel like there is too many people there. There are a few bars/restaurants that offer sunbeds but you can also bring your own umbrella as there is lots of open space. The beach is sandy and not too shallow, very clean and well maintained. The view is amazing and I would definitely recommend it.
Marathias Beach in Corfu is an absolute gem! The golden sand and crystal clear waters make it a perfect spot for families, especially those with children. The beach is well-equipped with various establishments offering umbrellas and bar/restaurant services. We chose Karma, which also has private parking—a fantastic convenience. The umbrellas are only 10 euros, a great deal, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. For those looking for some extra fun, there are inflatables in the water available for 15 euros per person per day. The expansive beach also provides plenty of space for sports activities, catering to both adults and children. One tip: aim to arrive by 10:30 AM to avoid the crowds, as parking can become limited later in the day. Overall, Marathias Beach is a perfect spot for a fun and relaxing day by the sea. Highly recommended!
