Awesome place, full of beautiful art, most of which is available to be bought. Place is very suitable for little kids, as there is a slide, swing and sandbox. Also there is a tower with beautiful view.
(Translated by Google) A fairy-tale place just a few steps from the square in Kostelec nad Černými lesy. I visit it every year traditionally. I thank the owners for opening their privacy to visitors. (Translated by Google) A few weeks ago, my friend and I visited this gallery - Jan Svatoše, which is tiny, but overall interesting. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes modern art. For us, it was a wonderful relaxation in the garden, where we looked at some truly unconventional components and some of them really amused us :) The gentleman, I don't know if he was the owner, but he was pleasant and polite. :)
(Translated by Google) Jan Svatoš Gallery in Kostelec nad Černými Lesy - is it really beneficial for visitors? I will share with you an unusual experience. Together with a fellow artist, we wanted with Mr. Svatoš to discuss the possibility of an exhibition of paintings in his gallery. We called him and thinking we were Mr. As an invitation to the saint, we gave him a bottle of quality wine during our visit. Right from the start, however, the owner of the gallery started to discourage my artistic ambitions, saying that there are more than enough artists everywhere and that I should rather do something useful. However, he somehow did not mention the ratio of private gallerists to artists. This is said by a person who was significantly helped by these criticized artists to become well-being! He also mocked my companion's chosen style of dress. And if he seemed to us to be a person with a special sense of humor, the course of the conversation quickly confirmed to us that he is a self-centered, bored digger. When he came across my Ukrainian origin in the prospectus, he literally launched an attack. He called all Ukrainians nationalists who directly provoked the war conflict in their country. And now they are brazenly demanding help and joining NATO! I explained to him in vain that we had not come to talk about politics. He was unstoppable. He distorted the facts and, with a mixture of arrogance and a sense of his own exceptionalism, taught me how to "correctly" perceive the political crisis in Ukraine. He did not accept my objections that he was wrong, he called the Ukrainians naive fools who dared to oppose such a strong nuclear power as Russia. And that the war can only be ended when a "backward, marginal, dubious territory" such as Ukraine finally humbles itself and is satisfied with the role assigned to it by advanced Russia from time immemorial. And he said all this in the presence of another visitor. I had no choice but to end the conversation. Mr. gallerist was not at all interested in my work, he chose me as a lightning rod, and he also extracted 30 crowns from each of us for a "tour" of his gallery, saying that he would not argue with us for free. And that despite the wine he accepted from us! What is this???... What is happening to people today? Does a person have the right to insult another for a different origin or a different opinion? It should be noted that Mr. Svatoš probably has no political opinion, he forms his opinions as quickly as he changes them. He is an ordinary demagogue who doesn't really understand anything, but needs to assert himself on people he underestimates. Does it give him self-satisfaction?... It was a very unpleasant experience, but not unique. Regardless of my qualities and acquired citizenship, some people will still view me as an unwanted foreigner. Just reality... Still, I need to develop this topic. It is food for thought, where we are going as a society. To říká člověk, kterému tito kritizování umělci výrazně dopomohli k blahobytu! Zesměšnil i vybraný styl oblékání mého společníka. A to vše pronášel v přítomnosti další návštěvnice. Přináší mu to sebeuspokojení?... Ludmila Dyakonchuk
(Translated by Google) For us, the gallery was a big surprise and a great experience. The gallery as a building provides a very dignified environment for exhibitions, it is nice to stay there and enjoy. The current Feri exhibition is meaningful and digestible for everyone. The garden is a natural continuation of the gallery and is truly beautiful. We will definitely visit again sometime.
(Translated by Google) The Jan Svatoš gallery is located a short distance from the square in Kostelec nad Černými lesy. A beautiful place where both lovers of modern art and those who just like to relax will enjoy themselves. There is a large garden in which sculptural gems are sensitively and quite tastefully incorporated...which, by the way, you have the opportunity to buy directly. Benches...rest, peace. And there is also an observation tower available here, not very high, so almost anyone can make it up. You can come here with both a stroller and a dog (on a leash, of course). Entrance fee to the entire area is 30 crowns per person. You park almost at the entrance. Highly recommend!
(Translated by Google) An amazing gallery focused on ceramics. Every year it organizes a vernissage on a selected theme, where artists present their artefacts, most of which can be purchased. The gallery is part of a family house with an adjacent garden full of various flowers and mature grasses. The owner is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit.
(Translated by Google) Warning especially for young/younger women. The gentleman from the gallery will not shy away from loudly judging your body. As a bonus, the entire top floor is stained. Worst art experience of my life. The exhibited works are beautiful, but what you have to go through to see them is not worth it.
